| John Henry Morris |

John Henry Morris, age 70, passed from this life Friday, June 15, 2007 at his residence in Odessa. He was born Saturday, July 25, 1936 in Crowell, TX to William B. and Ethel (Ribble) Morris. He served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as an oilfield mechanic. John married Durlene Barnett on November 21, 1957 in Odessa. She preceded him in death February 9, 2007. Also preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, and one sister. Those left behind to cherish his love and memories are his four children: two sons – John Morris and Dale Morris, and two daughters – Rhonda Morris and Carol Hull, all of Odessa; one sister – June Mauldin of Odessa; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Monday, June 18, 2007 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, officiated by Chaplain Don Swindell. Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of West Odessa. Jose C. Ortiz, age 69, of Odessa passed away suddenly Friday June 15, 2007 as a result of a car accident in Odessa. He was born Saturday, August 28, 1937 to Romolo and Irene (Carnero) Ortiz. He was a retired oilfield roustabout. Jose is survived by his wife - Concepcion Ortiz of Odessa; four sons - Sergio Ortiz of Odessa, Jose Ortiz, Jr. of Victorville, CA, Cesar Ortiz of Odessa, and Javier Ortiz of Odessa; two daughters - Elsie Peńa and Enedelia Valenzuela both of Odessa; two brothers - Isidro Ortiz of Deming, NM and Romolo Ortiz of Ojinaga, Mexico; six sisters - Gloria Contreras of Ojinaga, Mexico, Juanita Aguirre of Raton, NM, Ursula Zuniga of Fort Stockton, Tx, Amparo Marquez of Ojinaga, Mexico, Celia Zambrano of Odessa, and Josephina Viscano of Fort Stockton; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Rosary will be said 7 pm Monday, June 18, 2007 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10 am Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona officiating. Pallbearers will be Sergio Ortiz, Jr, Herbie Peńa, Jr, Anthony Ramirez, Cesar Ortiz, Jr, Victor Hinojos, and Jose Cervantes. Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of West Odessa.

Paula H. Clark, 90, of Odessa died Monday, June 18, 2007, at her residence. Paula was a retired nurse and homemaker. She was born January 25, 1917 in Presidio, Texas to Melquedes Anaya and Estanesial Chavez Hernandez. She married Lionel A. Clark on January 22, 1954, in Marfa, Texas. They had one child Maggie Clark Reed. She is survived by her daughter Maggie Reed and husband, Jon Reed and two grandchildren, Sarah and James Reed. Paula took great pride in serving her family. Her wisdom helped many family members overcome their obstacles over the years. She will always be remembered for her laughter and her charm. Her home was always open for visiting and no one left hungry. Rosary will be said 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Fort Davis, Texas. Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Resendez, age 90, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at his residence in
Odessa. He was born August 6, 1916 in Zacatecas, Mexico. He was a
farm laborer.
Survivors: Wife - Maria Resendez of Odessa; 3 Sons - Guadalupe
Resendez of El Paso, Manuel Resendez and Camillo Resendez both of
Odessa; 4 Daughters - Teresa Ojeda, Martha Resendez and Olivia
Zavala, all of Odessa and Margarita Cabrera of Deming, NM; 30
Grandchildren; 69 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren
Services: Rosary 7 pm Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Acres West Funeral
Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Monday, June 25, 2007 at Holy
Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Bernardito Getigan officiating.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Services are entrusted

Guillermo Hernandez, age 77, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at Medical
Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born February 10, 1930 in
Ojinaga, Mexico. He was a farm laborer.
Survivors: Wife - Reina Hernandez of Presidio; 2 Sons - Guillermo
Hernandez of Presidio, TX and Arturo Hernandez of Laredo, TX; 3
Daughters - Yolanda Hernandez of Hobbs, NM, Luz Elena Galindo of
Presidio, TX and Maria I Villalobos of Odessa; 2 Brothers -
Valentine Hernandez of Presidio, TX and Enrique Hernandez of
Kermit; 4 Sisters - Guadalupe Bonilla of Eastland, TX, Matilda Luna
and Angelina Salazar both of Odessa, and Agelia Alvarado of
Midland; 12 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren
Services: Services will be held in El Mulato, Mexico with interment
to follow at Cementario de Mulato. Services are entrusted to Acres
West Funeral Chapel of West Odessa.

Paulino Granados, age 78, died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born Thursday, June 28, 1928 in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a farm laborer. He married Guadalupe Garcia February 20, 1950 in Mexico. He is survived by his wife - Guadalupe Granados of Odessa; three sons - Gaspar Granados, Manuel Granados, and Gustavo Granados, all of Odessa; four daughters - Delma Galindo and Marta Carrasco, both of Ojinaga, Mexico, Teresa Bueno of Andrews, and Nancy Nieto of Odessa; one sister - Maria Granados of Monclava, Coahuila, Mexico; twenty-four grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren. Paulino was preceded in death by his parents: Teofilo and Margarita (Villa) Granados, one daughter: Manuela Lujan, four brothers, and one sister. Rosary will be said 7 pm Monday, June 25, 2007 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Odessa with Father Joe Uecker officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Rodriguez, age 81, of Saragosa died Sunday June 24, 2007 at Hospice
House in Odessa.
He was a
retired farmer.
Services
will be 10:00 am Wednesday June 27, 2007, in Saragosa at Our Lady of
Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Saragosa Cemetery.
Viewing will be held at Acres West Funeral Chapel.
Mr.
Rodriguez is survived by his wife- Belia Rodriguez; sons- Alfredo Rodriguez of Pecos,
Enrique Rodriguez Jr. and Tony Rodriguez of Odessa; daughters- Balvina Morales of Odessa and Nori Rodriguez of Monahans;
and two brothers- Ramon
Rodriguez and Salvador Rodriguez
of Alpine.

Candelaria Acosta Molinar |

Candelaria Acosta Molinar, loving wife,
mother, and grandmother went to be with her Lord Tuesday, June 26,
2007. She was born December 31, 1923 in Buenos Aires, Ojinaga, Mexico
to the late Gabriel and Candelaria (Ornelas) Acosta. Mrs. Molinar was
a homemaker and had been a resident of Odessa since 1975. She married
Luis Molinar in Mexico December 30, 1944 and had 58 wonderful years
of marriage at his passing away in 2002. Also preceding her in death
were five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by three sons: Luis, Justo, and Felipe Molinar, all of Odessa; two daughters: Esther Gomez and Rosa Almance both of Odessa; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, June 29, 2007 at Templo Getsemani with Pastor Felipe Molinar officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 pm Friday, June 29, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Cruz M. Lujan, age 76, of Odessa died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Hospice House. He was born Sunday, May 3, 1931 in El Pueblito, Chihuahua, Mexico and was a retired farmer. Services will be held in El Pueblito, Mexico with interment to follow at El Pueblito Cemetery. SURVIVORS: Wife, Francisca Hernandez of Odessa, seven sons, Victor Lujan, Cruz Lujan, Jr and Saul Lujan all of El Pueblito, Mexico, Jesus Lujan of Chihuahua, Mexico, Valente Lujan of Selma, Alabama and Doroteo Lujan and Guillermo Lujan both of Odessa; five daughters, Clara Lujan, Tonie Lujan, Blanca Ontiveros and Nayeli Lujan all of Odessa and Betty Venegas of Emory, Texas, thirty-three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Nancie Choate, of Odessa, left our side way too soon on June 29, 2007. She was born on December 18, 1950 to Jane (Jordan) Woods and the late Ralph Woods in Odessa, TX. She attended Odessa High School and Odessa College. She married Tommy Choate July 19, 1986 in Odessa. She worked as a bookkeeper for several area businesses as well as the Odessa Country Club for many years. She greatly loved to go camping and fishing, watching horror movies, and visiting amusement parks. But her greatest joy was found with her grandchildren who affectionately called her MooMoo and her dogs; Brewster, who stayed by her side and Lacy, the bodyguard at her feet. Nancie is survived by and will be remembered with enormous love by her husband of 22 years: Tommy Choate of Odessa; mother: Jane Woods of Odessa; two daughters: Shelly Stribling and husband Stacy of Midland, Christy Dickman and husband Casey of Odessa; brothers: Manuel Ralph Woods and wife Carroll of Claremore, OK, and Len Jordan and wife Kim of Austin, TX; grandchildren Dusti Dunham and family, Eric, Braden, and Trinity Ramirez, Alyssa Starr, Travis A. Pardue, Noble Stribling, Jacob Pardue, Skyler Dickman, Kayla Dickman; and her dear friend Connie Aday and husband Roger; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 3, 2007 as Ector County Cemetery with Brother Lonnie Jordan officiating. Pallbearers will include: Len Jordon, Ken Jordan, Casey Dickman, Stacy Stribling, Jason Jordan and Eric Ramirez. Ralph Woods Jr. was named as honorary pallbearer. David C. Krugman, age 54, longtime Odessa resident, passed away Friday, June 29, 2007 at his residence. He was born Friday, August 15, 1952 in Waco, McLennan County, TX to Anita (Gill) Krugman and the late Charles Krugman Jr. He married Terry Baker in Odessa December 1, 1989. David operated Krugman Camper Sales. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing, and “Party on the Patio.” He was a member of the Baptist church. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife: Terry Krugman; his mother: Anita Krugman; and one step-son: Phillip L. Murray, all of Odessa; two brothers: Charles W. Krugman of Midland and Mike Krugman of Breckenridge, CO; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services to honor David’s memory will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Acres West Funeral Chapel with Brother John Lyons officiating. Pallbearers will include Charles Krugman, Mike Krugman, Phillip L. Murray, Phillip E. Murray, Terry Jones, and Raul Yzaguirre. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
