Ypolito "Pollo" Paz
Ypolito "Pollo" Paz, age 45 of Odessa passed away Saturday June 28, 2008 in Odessa. He was born Friday April 12, 1963 in Presidio to Manuel and Catalina (Gonzales) Paz.
 
He is survived by his wife Maria Paz of Odessa, son, Ypolito Paz Jr. and daughter, Karen Paz, both of Odessa, parents, Manuel and Catalina Paz of Odessa, father-in-law, Francisco Tercero of Odessa, six brothers and four sisters.
 
Rosary is scheduled for 7 PM Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday July 8,2008 at St Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Los Angeles Garden section of Ector County Cemetery.

Howard Wayne Rogers

Wayne Rogers, age 61, died Saturday, June 21, 2008 in Kuwait.  He was born February, 16, 1947 to Elton Jessie Rogers and Iva Lee Bailey Rogers in Brady, TX.  He was an oilfield worker for Weatherford Drilling.  He was a US Army veteran, who had earned a Bronze Star and Purple Heart in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife:  Sheila Rogers of Cebu, Philippines; three sons:  Shea Rogers of Gardendale, TX, Virgil Rogers of Idaho Falls, ID, and Jacob Rogers of Cebu, Philippines; four daughters:  Evangelina "Angie" Redding of Odessa, Stephanie Rogers of Cebu, Philippines, and Cindy McKee and Sandra Rogers, both of Odessa; one brother:  Elton A. Rogers Jr. of Kermit, TX; two sisters:  Elaine Maxine O'Donnell of Marfa, TX and Donna Lee Rogers of Dryden, TX; and several grandchildren.

Memorial services are set for 2 pm Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Pastor Paul Weymouth.

Rita Ernestine "Cookie" Hudgins Tribble

Rita Ernestine Hudgins Tribble, also known as Cookie, passed away 5:45 am Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Mercy Fairfield Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She was born to Louie A. Dancer and Mary Louise Dancer June 4, 1954 in Odessa. She was a paralegal, with an Associate of Applied Business degree from the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services of the University of Cincinnati.  As a resident of Ohio, she was a faithful member of Calvary Pentecostal Church of Cincinnati, OH, however her spiritual home and heart have remained with First United Pentecostal Church of Odessa under Pastor Terry Pugh.  She was a faithful volunteer with Mount Airey Homeless Shelter of Cincinnati, OH, 20/20 Juvenile Center of Cincinnati, OH and Hamilton County Juvenile Court Youth Center. 

Those left to cherish her love and memories include her husband:  Clive Tribble of Cincinnati, OH; daughter:  Ginger R. Ray of Lenexa, KS; sons:  Taurean D. Hudgins of Lenexa, KS and Kevin L. Hudgins of Bay City, TX; sisters:  Mary Offrell and Nona Dancer of Ferris, TX; one brother:  Lawrence Dancer of Odessa; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  Louie A. and Mary Louise Dancer.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday; July 7, 2008 at First United Pentecostal Church officiated by Pastor Terry Pugh.  Interment will follow at Los Angeles Garden section of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Terry Ray Randall

Terry Ray Randall, age 53, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008 in Austin, TX.  He was born Friday, August 6, 1954 to James Thomas Randall and Julia Rose (Holliman) Randall in Sarah, Panola County, Mississippi.  He was an upholsterer.

He is survived by his mother:  Julia Rose Randall of Odessa; three brothers:  Kenneth Randall and Bruce Randall, both of Odessa and David Randall of Austin; and three sisters:  Rita Randall and Vickie Decker, both of Odessa and Wilma Cherry of Humble, TX.

He was preceded in death by his father:  James Randall and one brother:  James Allen Randall.

Graveside services will be 10 am, Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Los Angeles Garden section of Ector County Cemetery officiated by Pastor Robert Weber.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Daniel Bernard Hauck

Daniel Bernard Hauck, age 53, passed from this life Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Medical Center Hospital of Odessa.  He was born in Flushing, NY to the late Albert John Hauck and Cecilia Marie (Kearney) Hauck on September 6, 1954.  He was a cab driver.
 
He is survived by his daughter:  Danielle Hauck of Columbia, NJ and three sisters:  Diane Hauck and Margaret Hauck, both of Columbia, NJ and Marilyn Hatzelis of Andover, NJ.
 
Memorial services will be at a later date in New Jersey.  Arrangements in Odessa are with Acres West Funeral Chapel.

James Duncan "Jimbo" Calder
James Duncan "Jimbo" Calder, age 52, passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 at Hospice House of Odessa.  He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland to Alexander Dennis Calder and Thelma Mary Duncan Calder on August 2, 1955.  He was a tool pusher in the oilfield and a medical supply technician.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant, TX.
 
He is survived by his wife:  Alice Marie Calder of Odessa; two sons:  Reed Calder of Bloomberg, TX and Seth Burchfield of Odessa; two daughters:  Shaina Marie Calder of Odessa and Lorana Calder; three brothers:  Robert Calder and Jhon Calder, both of Aberdeen, Scotland and Ian Calder of London, England; one sister Alexis Calder; and five grandchildren.
 
Graveside services will be 2 pm Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Los Angeles Garden section of Ector County Cemetery officiated by Rev. Jimmy Braswell.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Mark Sorensen
Mark Sorensen, age 49, passed from this life on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Medical Center Hospital.  He was born in Pendleton, OR to Bruce T. Sorenson and Theresa A. Haas Sorenson.  He was a truck driver.
 
He is survived by his mother:  Theresa Stephens of Tujunga, CA; two sons:  Shannon Moreland and William Moreland, both of Odessa; two daughters:  Ronda Green and Brandy Gentry, both of Odessa; and one sister:  Melissa Pereslete of Tujunga, CA.
 
Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Ronald "Ronnie" Moses

Ronald Lynn Moses, age 61, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.  He was born in Wichita Falls, TX to Leonard and Betty (Atkinson) Moses on January 3, 1947.  He married Wanda Jean Reeves on January 13, 1974 in Odessa.  He was a welder. 

Those left to cherish his love and memory include his wife:  Jeannie Moses of Odessa; three sons:  Mason Daniels and fiancé Amy Collins, Timmy Daniels and wife Mary, and Harvey Daniels and wife Michelle, all of Odessa; two brothers:  Monty Moses and wife Karen of Waco, TX and Don Moses of Lubbock; one sister:  Becky Hollis of Lubbock, TX; cousin:  Rickie Knox of Wichita Falls, TX; eight grandchildren: Mason Brent Daniels, Mark Daniels, Regina Daniels, Toby Daniels, Jordyn Daniels, Devin Daniels, Harley Daniels, and Harvey Daniels, Jr., all of Odessa; and three great-grandchildren. 

Memorial services will be 7:00 pm Friday, July 11, 2008 at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Brother Wayne Shelton.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Sharron Ann Stover
Sharron Stover, age 58, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Hospice House of Odessa.  She was born in Matador, TX to Odell and Virginia (Pace) Osborn.  She was a self-employed artist.
 
She is survived by her husband:  Larry Stover of Odessa and one nephew:  Steven Bond of Odessa.
 
Memorial services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord officiated by Pastor Michael Mueller.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Rito Carreón

Rito Carreón, age 67, passed from this life on Friday, July 11, 2008 at his residence in Odessa.  He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Natalio and Margarita (Guerrero) Carreón.  He was a farmer.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife:  Celia Carrasco Carreón of Odessa; two sons:  Homero Carreón and Rito Carreón, both of Odessa; five daughters:  Alicia Carreón of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico and Emeteria Carreón, Maria Carreón, Maria L. Carreón Hernandez, and Luz Amparo Carreón, all of Odessa; four brothers: Jesus Carreón of La Colmena, Mexico, Margarito Carreón of Odessa, Nieves Carreón of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, and Bernabe Carreón of New Mexico; one sister:  Socorro Sanchez of Odessa; twenty-three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents:  Natalio and Margarita Carreón.

Carey Keith Kahrs

Carey Keith Kahrs, 47, of Odessa, Texas, formerly of Epworth, Iowa died as a result of a motorcycle accident on 7-11-08.

Services were held on 7-15-08 at Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa, Texas. Carey was born on September 5, 1961, to Mr. and Mrs. Keith Kahrs in Dubuque, Iowa. Carey enjoyed spending time with his friends and riding his motorcycle. Carey was a member of The Brotherhood of the 74 Motorcycle Riders of Odessa, Texas.

Carey is survived by three sons, Carey, Cory and Kyle of Odessa, Texas; a fiancé, Holly Claunch; sister, Roxanna (Gary) James; brother, Jamie Kahrs; niece, Carmen Kahrs; special aunt, Jeanne Scott also known as Mom and uncle, Rusty Scott of Epworth, Iowa; uncle, Neil Kahrs of Cookson, Oklahoma; aunts, Maureen Fullbright of Roswell and Jan Leigh of Rolling Meadows, Illinois; great aunt, Maxine Kellogg of Roswell.

Carey was preceded in death by his father, Keith Kahrs; his grandparents, Lyle and Mildred Kahrs; special cousins, Ray and Connie Scott; and uncle Bill Fullbright.

The family of Carey would like to give a special thanks to The Brotherhood of the 74 Motorcycle Riders of Odessa, Texas for all of their support during this difficult time.
