Jose Molina V.

Jose Molina V. passed away at his home Friday, September 05, 2008 at the age of 55.  He was born in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Eliseo and Felicitas (Vasquez) Molina March 19, 1953.  He married Cecelia Ramirez October 7, 1977 in Roswell, NM.  They were the proud parents of two children.  He was a truck driver for Britt Trucking for 16 years.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. 

He was a hard worker who took wonderful care of his family.  He enjoyed the outdoors.  He liked working in the yard and raising his roosters.  He cooked BBQ and enjoyed family gatherings.  He loved to dance and play with his granddaughters. 

Those left to cherish his love and memories include his wife:  Cecelia Molina of Odessa; his father:  Eliseo Molina of Lakin, KS; one son:  Jose Molina Jr and wife Sandy of Odessa; one daughter:  Angelica Molina of Odessa; five brothers:  Ruben Vasquez and wife Delores of Odessa, Enrique Vasquez and wife Lucinda of Deerfield, KS and Lupe Vasquez, Armando Vasquez, and Arturo Vasquez, all of Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico; two sisters:  Armida Prieto and husband Jaquin and Ramona Maldando and husband George, all of Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico; four grandchildren:  Sara, Alyssa, Felicity and Jose III; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Rosary will be said 7:00 pm Monday, September 8, 2008 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Ogbonna officiating.  Pallbearers will be Luie Dias, Joshua Salgado, Nathan Ramirez, Ruben Vasquez, Enrique Vasquez, and Andres Lopez. Interment will follow at Los Angeles Garden section of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Billy Gene Irwin
Billy Gene Irwin, age 73, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Hospice House of Odessa, TX.  He was a resident of Alpine, TX.  He was born in Atoka, OK to Markus and Judith (Keese) Irwin April 5, 1935.  He served his country in the US Marines.  He was a pipe fitter.
 
He is survived by his wife:  Gladys Cavender Irwin of Alpine; his mother:  Judith Irwin of Odessa; four sons:  Billy G. Irwin fo Cut Off, LA, Bruce W. Irwin and Douglas P. Irwin, both of Ft. Stockton, TX; and Buck Murray of Terlingua, TX; one daughter:  LeAnn Epley of Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters:  Darlene Howell and Cassie Stedham, both of Odessa; and four grandchildren.
 
Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa.  Memorials may be made to Hospice House, 903 N. Sam Houston, Odessa, TX 79761.

Joseph James "Jim" Castleberry
Joseph James "Jim" Castleberry, age 68, died Friday, September 5, 2008 at his residence in Odessa.  He was born in Ft. Collins, CO to Way Frances Castleberry and Anna (Czermack) Castleberry.  He was self-employed as an installer of hardwood floors.  He had served our country as a US Marine.
 
He is survived by two sons:  Joseph James Castleberry of Jacksonville, FL and Levi Christopher Castleberry of Hemet, CA; three daughters:  Stormie Schumaker of Loveland, CO, Rainie Garfield of Ft. Collins, CO, and Lisa McIntosh of Odessa; and five grandchildren.
 
Memorial services with military honors will be held 4:00 pm Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Brother Roy Jones.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Audrey Lee Wilkerson

Audrey Lee Wilkerson, age 70, passed from this life Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Regency Hospital of Odessa.  She was born January 26, 1938 in Midland to JD Reeves and Rita Bell (Lee) Reeves.  She was a homemaker and worked 17 years in a school cafeteria.  She was a member of Cross Roads Fellowship. 

She is survived by her mother:  Rita Reeves; five sons:  Larry Dale Wilkerson, Mitchell Wilkerson and wife Tamara, Robin Wilkerson, Bobby Wilkerson and Terry Wilkerson and wife Lori; one daughter:  Janis Wilkerson; one brother:  Charles Reeves; two sisters:  Glenda Bishop and Jeannie Moses; fourteen grandchildren:  Tanner and Justin Wilkerson, Keely and Rylea Wilkerson, Tye Wilkerson, Lynsie Wagnon, Tanisha Stevens, Keesha Wilkerson, Heather Merrill, Blake Merrill, Brandon Wilkerson, Lauren Wilkerson, Hayden and Haylie Wilkerson; and nine great-grandchildren:  Chase and Dalton Stevens, Jaylen and Layton Birchfield, Jacob, Wyatt and Colton Wilkerson, and Cheyenne and Aubrey Wilkerson.  They are all Odessa residents. 

Preceding her in death were her husband:  Larry B. Wilkerson; her father:  JD Reeves; a brother:  Mack Reeves; and her granddaughter:  Angie Wilkerson. 

A family visitation at the funeral home will be Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Cross Roads Fellowship Church, 6901 E. Hwy 191, with Jason Harmeyer officiating.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

                

Miguel Angel Hernandez

Miguel Angel Hernandez was gathered into the arms of our loving Savior Sunday, September 7, 2008.  He was born Saturday, June 24, 2006 in Midland, TX to Lupe Hernandez and Lizette Pacheco Hernandez. 

He is survived by his parents; his grandmother:  Sophia Pacheco of Odessa; two brothers:  Alejandro and Israel Hernandez, both of Odessa; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, September 12, 2008 at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Pastor Rosario Hill.  Interment will follow at Rosehill section of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Warren Dale Flowers

Warren Flowers, “Pops” to those who loved him, went to his resting place with the Lord Wednesday September 10, 2008, following a courageous battle against cancer and heart disease. Joyce, his loving wife of 41 years, was by his side. He was born Monday December 1, 1947 in Odessa to the late Ralph and Lillie May (Morgan) Flowers. He attended Grace Fellowship Church. 

He was a sports enthusiast, who collected sports memorabilia and had a card shop.  He loved the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys.  He was an avid Nolan Ryan fan.  He coached and played softball with MSA for years.  He coached his son Warren Jr. from t-ball through high school.  In his spare time, Warren liked to go fishing with his grandchildren.  He worked at Halliburton for the last fifteen years. 

Warren leaves behind a loving family.  They include his wife:  Joyce Flowers of Odessa; one son:  Warren Flowers, Jr and wife Kerris of Odessa; one daughter:  Tammy Miller and husband Brad of Midland; three sisters:  Peanut McCamey of Hearne, TX; Peggy Blake of Midland, and Willie Noduski of Jackson Hole, WY; sister-in-law:  Imogene Barnes of Belton, TX; and grandchildren:  Stephanie Miller, Tiffany Miller, Katy Armstrong, Trey Flowers and Daniel Cobos. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers:  Dalton Flowers, Dearl Flowers, and Ronnie Flowers; two sisters:  Eva Shields and Betty Barnes; and a brother-in-law:  Weaver Barnes. 

A family visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday evening, September 11th at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 12, 2008 at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Pastor Robert Lamb.  Interment will follow at Western Roses Memorial Park, 4100 N. FM 1788.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Placido Carrillo Escarcega

Placido Carrillo Escarcega, age 82, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at his residence in Odessa.  He was born in Mexico April 22, 1926 to the late Placido and Petra (Carrillo) Escarcega.  He retired after serving as a policeman in Mexico.

He is survived by his wife:  Esperanza Rivas Escarcega of Odessa; five sons:  Jose Escarcega, Ismael Escarcega, Manuel Escarcega, Lalo Escarcega, and Cesar Escarcega, all of Odessa; five daughters:  Teresa Baeza of Levelland, TX, and Juana Ruiz, Frances Sanchez, Esperanza Gardea and Adela Escarcega, all of Odessa; one brother:  Teodulo Escarcega of Odessa; one sister:  Elvira Escarcega of Lovington, NM; 30 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. 

Rosary will be said 7:00 pm Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday, September 15, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Father Joe Uecker.  Interment will follow at Los Angeles Garden of Ector County Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Mark Baeza, Jesus Sanchez, Danny Escarcega, Jesus Escarcega, Immanuel Escarcega, Ivan Ruiz, Josue Gardea, and Kemuel Suchil.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Luciano B. Holguin, Jr.

Luciano B. Holguin, Jr. "Chanito" passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at his residence in Odessa.  He was born in Presidio, TX, July 4, 1936 to Luciano J. Holguin and Margarita (Bernard) Holguin.  He was a self-employed cement finisher.  He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. 

He is survived by his wife:  Eliza P. Holguin of Odessa; two sons:  Guadalupe "Wally" Holguin and wife Lori, and Luciano Holguin III and wife Juana, all of Odessa; three daughters:  Irma Guevara and husband Ruben of Odessa, Delma H. Diaz and husband Luis of Midland, and Laura Reyes and husband Robert of Snyder, TX; four brothers:  Henry Holguin, Cipriano Holguin, both of Odessa, and Fred Holguin and Raymond Holguin, both of Forsan, TX; two sisters:  Senaida Aranda of Lovington, NM and Margarita Acosta of Imperial, TX; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers:  Gustavo, Wally, and Salvador; and one son:  Ruben Holguin who passed away in 1982. 

Rosary will be said 7:00 pm Friday, September 12, 2008 at the funeral home.  Mass will be 9:00 am Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church officiated by Father Nilo Nalugen.  Interment will follow at Los Angeles Garden of Ector County Cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Robert Daniel Cox

Robert Daniel Cox, age 71, passed from this life Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Medical Center Hospital.  He was born Wednesday, March 31, 1937 in Indian Gap, TX to the late Archie Dean Cox and Viola Belle (Conway) Cox.  He served our country in the Army in Germany.  He married Beverly Brothers in 1969.  She preceded him in death in 2004.  He then remarried in 2005 to Flo Abbott Cox.  He attended Sherwood Baptist Church.  He loved his family.  In his free time, Robert enjoyed a good game of golf. 

Mr. Cox leaves behind to cherish his love and memory his wife:  Flo Abbott Cox of Odessa; two sons:  Archie Dean Cox of North Richland Hills, TX and Keith Daniel Cox of Bedford, TX; two step-sons:  Michael Wagstaff of Arlington, TX and Rusty Miller of Haltom City, TX; three daughters:  Sharon Turnbough of North Richland Hills, TX, Fonza McKeehan of Texarkana, TX, and Becky Beddoe of Oklahoma City, OK; step-daughter:  Deanna Shockey of Bedford, TX, one brother:  C.E. Cox and wife Jackie of Odessa; and three grandchildren. 

A family visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Friday evening, September 12, 2008.  Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Sherwood Baptist Church in Odessa officiated by Brother Ivy Shelton.  Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Big Spring.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel. 

The family extends their thanks to the awesome staff of Regency Hospital and Hospice for the care, concern, and love shown to all of us, as well as the wonderful care they took of Robert.

Wanda Sue Wolf

Wanda Sue Wolf, age 74, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Hospice House of Odessa.  She was born Wednesday, April 11, 1934 in Inola, OK to Louis and Mary (Vaughn) Cruse.  She was an artist who did beautiful oil paintings.  She also worked as a waitress. 

She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was fiercely protective of her family.  She enjoyed fishing and working in her yard and garden. 

Those left to cherish her love and memory include  two sons:  Jerry Loftin and Roger Loftin, both of Odessa; two brothers:  Bob Cruse of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Kenneth Cruse of Gentry, Arkansas; two sisters:  Jane McDonald of Marshall, TX and Lorine Knivers of Magnolia, TX; two grandchildren:  Merlin Loftin and Kendra Hage; and three great-grandchildren:  Autumn Larremore, Thomas Hage Jr. and Celina Loftin. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers:  Leonard Cruse and J.D. Cruse. 

Graveside services will be 11 am Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Gardens officiated by Bro. Roy Jones.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Rosale M. Hernandez
Rosale M. Hernandez, age 82, passed from this life Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Medical Center Hospital.   He was born in Brownwood, TX on September 4, 1926 to Quirino Hernandez Aceves and Estfana Martinez de Hernandez.  He was a retired construction laborer.
 
Survivors include four sons:  Arturo Hernandez, Robert S. Hernandez, and Carlos S. Hernandez, all of Odessa and Frankie Hernandez of Oceanside, CA; five daughters:  Catherine Alvarez, Victoria Sanchez, Cristina Mancha, Yolanda Garcia, and Diana Chavez, all of Odessa; five brothers:  Juan M. Hernandez of Pleasant Grove, TX, Jose M. Hernandez of Dallas, TX and Gustavo M. Hernandez, Reynaldo M. Hernandez, and Efrain M. Hernandez, all of Odessa; four sisters:  Manuela Hernandez de Herrera of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, and Ofelia Hernandez de Silva, Licha Hernandez de Ramos, Guadalupe Hernandez de Rodriguez, all of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico; twenty-five grandchildren and forty-seven great-grandchildren.
 
Rosary will be said 7:00 pm Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm Monday, September 15, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church officiated by Fr.
