Gary Carl Henderson, age 63, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2009 at his residence in Odessa. He was born in Leonardtown, MD. He worked as a pumper in the oil field.
Survivors include two brothers: Johnny and Joe Henderson, both of Odessa; and one sister: Frances Farrell of Liberty City, TX.
A Memorial service is scheduled for 6:00 pm Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Chaplain Jane Morin. Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Lonnie Earl Lisenbee, Sr. went to be with his Lord and to hold hands with his sweetheart on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born on April 17, 1919 in Twin Falls, ID to Lonnie Lisenbee and Ethel Almeda Thames. He married Mary Lee Coats on August 17, 1940 in Eastland, TX. He spent 57 wonderful years with his beloved wife. He was an original roughneck and was very active in his church. He was a founding member of the Permian Basin Baptist Men Disaster Relief. He was a loving husband, father, grandparent and friend. He will be missed greatly.
Those left to cherish his memory include one son: Lonnie E. Lisenbee, Jr. and partner Tod Frances of Austin, TX.; six daughters: Pat Phillips and husband Earnest of Odessa, TX., Linda Sanders and husband Buster of Noble, TX., Deenna Parrack and Kathy Lisenbee, both of Odessa, Lu An Holdridge and husband David of Odessa, Iva Joyce Halfacre and husband Danny of Odessa. He was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his sweetheart and one daughter: Mary Edith Brown and husband James.
Family Visitation will take place 6:30- 9:00, Monday, August 3, 2009 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Services are scheduled for 1:00 Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at University Baptist Church officiated by Brother Wayne Maass. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Billie Ray Palmour, age 68, went to join his wife on Monday, August 03, 2009 in Kermit. He was born Tuesday, December 31, 1940 to Robert and Dorothy Palmour in Abilene.
He married Orvie Jeannette Johnson in 1993 in Odessa. A very likeable and loving person, Bill was a hard worker, he enjoyed working on rigs and big trucks. A little on the wild side, he loved his booze and enjoyed working in his yard or anyone else’s. He also enjoyed fishing.
Those left to cherish his memory include two brothers: Charles Palmour of Odessa and Terry Palmour of Bridgeport, Texas; three sisters: Barbara Mathis, Lynn Lambright, and Debbie Palmour, all of Odessa.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one sister: Carlene Palmour.
Memorial services are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 05, 2009 at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Pastor Bill Stroud.

Texas. Braili spent 18 days wrapped in the loving care of her parents,
Michael and Kelbi Brown. She was called to heaven on Aug. 3, 2009.

Hazel Zudie (McAlister) Wright, age 97, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2009, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. She was a homemaker.
She was born April 12, 1912 in Corsicana, Texas to the late Pat and Aggie McAlister.
She is survived bytwo sons, Bobby Daniel and Roy Wade Daniel, both of Odessa.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, August 7, 2009 at Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, working hands were put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best."
Anton “Tony” Ethan Ashbacher, 53, formerly of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday August 4, 2009 in Odessa, Texas. Tony was born on May 18, 1956 to Ralph and Eleanor Ashbacher in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in San Antonio, TX Class of ‘74. He received a football scholarship to Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. He was a long time employee of Pima Community College in Tucson. Tony enjoyed gardening, fishing, and painting. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the University of Arizona Wildcats.
Surviving family includes: mother Eleanor K. Ashbacher, Odessa, TX; siblings Sharon Little, Odessa, TX, Lester Ashbacher, Denise McCray, Portland, OR, Mike (Dana) Ashbacher, Burleson, TX, Todd Ashbacher, Tucson, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Ashbacher, and grandparents.
A private family service was held on Friday, August 7, 2009. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements were made by Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa, TX.

Edith Lucille Barnes, age 97, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Seabury Nursing Center in Odessa. She was born in Madison Township, Clarion County, Penn. She had been a waitress at the Spur Cafe in Odessa.
She is survived by two sons: Claude Conner and Eddie Barnes, both of Odessa; one daughter: Audrey Hughes of Bastrop, TX; one brother: Harry Carnahan of Clarion, PA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Friday, August 7, 2009 at Rose Hill Garden of Ector County Cemetery, officiated by Brother Roy Jones. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Clifford “Kippy” Arlon Gesch, age 54, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2009 at his Odessa residence. He was born in Sweetwater, TX November 7, 1954 to Fritz and Virginia (Collum) Gesch. He was an oilfield machinist.
Kippy was the baby of his family. He was a free spirit, hard headed and stubborn, but grew up to be the best Papaw or “Pops” in the world. He said all his kids grew up “allright.” Everything he did, he did for his kids and loved his grandkids with a passion. They affectionately thought of him as a “crazy old man”. He was a good friendly guy, the kind of man who could get a job anywhere he wanted. He loved the water and enjoyed swimming. He was a high school football and basketball fan, who was very proud of his grandson’s accomplishments in sports – he made the varsity football team this year.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother: Virginia Gesch; one son: Aaron Gesch; two daughters: Tracie Cline and Cecilia Gesch; four brothers: Tom Gesch, Terry Gesch, Bill Gesch, and Phil Gesch; and four grandchildren: Benjamin Cline, Bryce Cline, Kaitlyn Cline, and Lucas Gesch, all of Odessa.

Fabian Rios aka “Rocky Rios”, age 34, of Odessa, Texas, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 due to a motor vehicle accident in Odessa, TX. He was an oilfield derrick hand. He enjoyed fishing and sports. He was a boxer from the age of eight.
He was born in Big Spring, TX on May 26, 1975, the son of Daniel Rios and Mary H. Gomez. He and his wife, Elizabeth, married on September 22, 1994 in Big Spring, TX.
Those left to cherish his love and memory include his wife: Elizabeth Rios of Big Spring; companion: Jo Elda Carrasco of Odessa; mother: Mary Gomez of Odessa; daughter, Jasmine Rios of Big Spring; three sons, Fabian Rios, John Rios, and Phillip Rios, all of Big Spring; three step-children: Jovonica Cortinez, Ashley Fabela, and Silvia Ulloa; six sisters, Mary Sue Lujan of Pecos, Belsa Rios, Pam Rios, Emma Nuger, Sepharine Bugayong, and Belinda Rios, all of Odessa; and four brothers, Daniel Rios, John Rios, and Martin Rios, all of Odessa, and Marty Rios of Marble Falls, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father: Daniel Rios.

Reñe Jean Clements, age 63, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at her Odessa residence. She was born in St. Paul, MN on November 15, 1945. She was a convenience store manager. She was Baptist. She loved her family very much, her nieces and nephews were her kids.
She is survived by three brothers: Bob Price and wife Eva of Odessa, Muril Barnett and wife Pearl of Clovis, NM, and Roger Shelton and wife Judy of Las Vegas, NV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Clements was preceded in death by her parents: Dewayne and Frances (Hooverson) Barnett and five brothers: Bill Shelton, Rodney Shelton, Leonard Shelton, Cedric Barnett, and Glenn Barnett.

Terry Douglas Henderson, age 65, passed from this life on Monday, August 10, 2009 at Medical Center Hospital of Odessa. He was born in Kermit on June 22, 1944 to Evans D. and Joyce B. (Arnold) Henderson and was a lifetime Kermit resident.
Terry worked as a heavy equipment operator and a jack of all trades. He was an assistant Boy Scout leader. He never met a stranger and was quick to make friends. He was a loving father and grandfather, who will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include three sons: Todd Henderson and wife Michelle of Conroe, TX, Tracy Henderson and wife Gina of Montgomery, TX, and John Henderson and wife Mindy of Saginaw, TX; one daughter: Amanda Henderson of Wink; two brothers: Kenneth Henderson of Wilmington, S.C. and Larry Henderson of Canada; two sisters: Wanda Cooper of Muskogee, OK and Peggy Baker of Pampa, TX; six grandchildren: Thomas, Bradly, Heather, Hillary, Bryce, and Kolton; and one great-granddaughter: Lilly Marie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Riley Henderson, formerly of Kermit, and one sister: Patsy Henderson.

Jerry Don Daniel, age 68, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 while on a fishing trip in Del Rio. He was born November 23, 1940 in Littlefield, TX to Bill Oscar Daniel and Nina Alice (Mason) Daniel. He married Barbara Ann Province August 1, 1982 in Hobbs, NM. He was the owner and operator of Daniel A/C and Heating. He was a member of the United Church of God.
Jerry was in the heating and air conditioning business for 43 years, but his great love was for fishing and golf. He was a vagabond, a wandering soul, but called Texas and Eastern New Mexico home. If he could have convinced Barbara, they would have settled in Del Rio. He was full of personality, he loved to joke around and harass folks.

Delma R. Wright, age 58, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Hospice House of Odessa. She was born in Alpine, TX to Eloy and Lucia (Rojo) Wright on June 21, 1951. She was a beautician.
She is survived by three sons: Enrique "Henry" Monclova, Jr. of Odessa, Edwin Hinojos and wife Patty of Ft. Meade, MD, and Macario "Mike" Hinojos, Jr. and wife Guadalupe of Odessa; one brother, three sisters, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
