John Marion Young, Jr., born in Aztec, NM,
He is survived and will be missed by his brother Ronnie Young of
Odessa, Texas; and his daughter and son-in-law, Guillermo Nunez, Jr and
Celeste Nunez of Kyle, Texas, and his grandchildren Cecilia, Isaac and
Abigail Nunez, his loving Aunt and Uncle Wanda and T.B. Heiser of
Coleman, Texas, nieces and nephews and many cousins.
John loved fishing and hunting and was a friend to many. Memorial services
will be held at

Aida Armendariz, age 62, passed
away Friday, November 27, 2009 at Medical Center Hospital in
Odessa. She was born in and was a resident of Ojinaga, MX. She
was a merchant who sold auto parts.
Survivors - four daughters: Iliana Proaño of Odessa and Isis, Ana,
and Aida Proaño, all of Ojinaga, MX; three brothers: Adolfo,
Arturo, and Aureliano Armendariz, all of Ojinaga, CH, MX and five
grandchildren.
Her parents: Ramon and Concepcion (Tavarez) Armendariz and husband: Sergio Proaño, precede her in death.
Funeral services will be in Ojinaga, CH, MX at a later date with
burial to follow at Ultimo Refugio Cemetery in Ojinaga. Services
are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Pat Clay, our
loving Mother, Grandma, and sister,
passed away
Pat loved her
children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She never missed a family member’s birthday.
Everyone was family to her, she was never Pat, but always
Grandma. She loved
peach tea, coffee, cokes, candy and Wal-Mart.
She loved being among people, never met a stranger, and
never failed to proclaim her healing from pancreatic cancer.
She never missed the opportunity to give God the glory for
her health. She fought
a good fight and won the battle.
She passed from
this life at Hospice House, surrounded by her family.

Patricia Harrison, age 51, peacefully passed away Monday, November
30, 2009. Ms. Harrison was born February 27, 1959 in Odessa. She
is preceded in death by her parents Ed and Burna Dean Harrison,
brother Kenneth Daily, son Brian Harrison and daughter Ashley
Harrison
Survivors include three brothers, Eddie Harrison of Cibolo, TX,
Mike Harrison of Odessa, TX and John Harrison of Odessa; one
granddaughter, Brianna Harrison of Odessa, TX; special cousin Doug
Friend; several nieces and nephews and a number of extended family
and friends.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 3, 2009 at
Acres West Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres
West Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

| Robert Amberg Miller |

Robert Amberg Miller, age 69, of Odessa went to be with our Lord on
December 1, 2009 after a courageous fight against lung cancer. He
passed away in peace, with his family surrounding him with their
love and support.
Robert was born April 6, 1940 in Bedford, PA to Sewell and Florence
Miller. As a young man, he earned his rank as an Eagle Scout. He
joined the Army and was proud to have served two tours in Germany.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He also was a
member of Dunn Street Baptist Church.
Bob worked various jobs throughout the years, including computer
technology and engine repair work. He enjoyed golf, puzzles,
reading and spending time with his grandchildren, who
affectionately referred to him as "Papa Bob".
He
is survived by his wife of 18 years, Peggy J. Miller; his mother,
Florence Miller; his son, Robert A. Miller, Jr. and wife Terri and
grandchildren Matthew and Nicole; his son, Richard L. Hargus and
wife Kimberly and grandchildren Brittany, James, and Emily;
son, William G. Hargus and wife Cookie and grandchildren Jessica,
Amanda, John, and Billy; sister, Linda Heller and husband Larry;
sister, Carol Almond and husband Melvin; and numerous other family
members who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Janette Miller; his
father Sewell Miller; his infant daughter Nancy Miller; and his
infant son Dent Miller.
Services will be held at Dunn Street Baptist Church on Friday,
December 4, 2009 at 3:00 pm. His remains will be interred at Texas
State Veteran's Cemetery in Abilene, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to
Hospice House, 903 N. Sam Houston, Odessa, TX 79761 in memory of
Robert Miller.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful
people at Hospice House of Odessa, TX for their support and
kindness... our words can never express our appreciation.

| Tommy Gerald Herd |
|
Tommy Gerald Herd, age 75, of Midland passed away Wednesday,
December 2, 2009 at Hospice House of Odessa. He was born in
Gainesville, TX on December 16, 1933 to Thomas Newton Herd and Lois
Laverne (Bentley) Herd. He was a truck driver, owner/operator
of Tommy Herd Trucking since 2002.
He was also a beekeeper. He enjoyed the outdoors, baseball, and was a Golden Gloves boxer. He liked to hunt and loved antique guns.
Tommy is survived
by his wife of over 58 years: Betty Alexander Herd of Midland;
daughter: Linda Gale Herd of Midland; granddaughter: Michelle
Lynn Casbeer of Midland.
His parents, baby brother, Bobby Glen Herd, and son, Tommy Dale Herd, preceded him in death.
The family plans to have a private memorial service. Arrangements
are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and Crematory of

Scott
Lance Mingus, age 31, passed from this life on
Scott was a loving and devoted
husband and father with the biggest heart.
He never met a person he could not befriend and he would do
anything for anyone, no matter how short the time he knew them.
He loved kids and was still a “Big Kid” himself.
He was fun-loving, with a great sense of humor and was always
smiling. Those left to cherish his love
and memory are his wife:

Joyce Perry Yudin passed
away peacefully in her home of fifty years on December 3rd
after 92 wonderful years. Joyce was born in During the Second World War,
she met and fell in love with a young Marine, Irving Yudin. They
married the day before he shipped out to Guadalcanal. The war kept them
separated for years, but after the war, she left her homeland and
family to come to
Joyce raised her children with a strong sense of love, caring and commitment. She is preceded in death by her best friend and partner for over 65 years, Irving Yudin; her eldest son, Jeffrey; and her three brothers, Bill, Teddy and Alf. Her youngest children, Ashley Yudin and Vicki McMurry, have been her continual companion during her struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Although she was not born Jewish, she converted to Judaism and was an active member of the Sisterhood for many years. She was an avid supporter of the Broncos, Cowboys and the Mavericks. She has been a lifetime supporter of many community projects. In lieu of flowers, please
support the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Robert Milton Owens, age 78, died
on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Parks Methodist Retirement Village
in Odessa. He was born in Haynesville, LA on September 29, 1931 to
Prentiss Garland Owens and Mary Alice (Watson) Owens. He was
a Methodist.
Survivors include three sons: David Bash of Conroe, TX, Dusty Owens
of Arp, TX and Donald Owens of Odessa; two daughters: Debra
Holzbach of Seabrook, TX and Dianne Shalosky of Austin, TX; and
thirteen grandchildren.
His parents, his wife: Nancy
Anne Mitchell Owens, and his sister: Sally Monzingo, preceded
him in death.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Arlington Cemetery in Homer, Louisiana. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Nina
Yvonne Chance, age 77, of Odessa passed away on Monday, December 7,
2009 at Select Specialty Hospital in Midland, TX.
She was born in Pineville, Rapides Parish, LA on September 15, 1932
to John and Willie (Fletcher) Bonds. She was a business owner.
She was a member of 1st Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern
Star.
Mrs. Chance is survived by three
sons: Bob Chance of Odessa, TX, Mike Chance of Jal, NM, and Pat
Chance of Dallas, TX; one brother: Earl Bonds of Pineville, LA;
two sisters: Faye Smith of Odessa and Ann Saplin of Jal; eight
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 am
MST Thursday, December 10, 2009 in Jal, NM at Jal Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa.
