was born on
He is survived by

Odessa; daughter: Sheli Woodson and husband Glen of Arlington, TX; step
daughters: Becky
Biggerstaff and husband Kenny, Sheree Martin and husband Tony, and
Sherill Sanders, all of Odessa; step son:
Stephen Sanders and wife Nita of Odessa; sisters:
Pat Gilliam of Odessa, Leeadria Clakely of Monahans, TX, Brenda
Byrom of Odessa, and Doris Gage of Houston, TX; brothers:
Leo Banks of Strawn, TX and Frank Banks of Iowa Park, TX;
nineteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces
and nephews;
and his beloved friend and companion his dog Staci.
He was preceded in
death by his parents: Bert
and Omadean Banks; brothers:
Michael Banks and Prefis Banks; and sister:
Betty Nell Lewis.
He will be missed
by all who knew him.
A special “Thank
You!” to the staff of Home Hospice for all the special care and
attention they gave to our loved one.

David Robert Weeks, Jr. age 59 of Midland passed away Saturday January 30, 2010. He was born June 15th, 1950 in Rotan, Texas to Dave Robert Weeks & Ina Faye Newsome. He grew up in Midland, Texas and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1969. He joined the U.S. Navy after graduation and served until 1971. David was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and he will be dearly missed. David is survived by a daughter, Lindsay Michele Weeks, a grandson Corben Chase Wynne of Blackwell, Texas, mother Ina Faye Weeks and brother Reggie Kenneth Weeks of Midland, Texas. A Private memorial will be held Saturday February 6th, 2010 to remember and celebrate David's life.

Arturo Benavides, age 61, passed
away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Hospice House of Odessa. He
was born in Stanton, TX on November 14, 1948 to Jose J. Benavides
and Guadalupe (Sotelo) Benavides. He was a machinist for the oil
field. He was Catholic.
Survivors include one brother: Sammy Benavides and wife Sulema of
Albuquerque, NM.
A rosary service is scheduled for
7:00 pm on Thursday, February 04, 2010 at Acres West Funeral
Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and
Crematory.

Brenda Kay Kenney -
Brych, age 59, was granted her angel wings
For the last nine
years she was employed by Permian Basin Community Centers. Brenda
worked in the vocational programs helping those individuals with
disabilities find employment or get ready to work. Her ability to show
love and patience with those who were assigned to her will never be
forgotten. Brenda was devoted to her work, but loved to travel in her
spare time. She also enjoyed casinos, computer games, and gardening.
She was a Baptist, great wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by
her husband Frank Brych of Odessa; mother: Bernice Chandler of
Odessa; three sons: Gary Don Kenney and wife Amanda of Odessa,
Weylon J. Kenney and wife Kathryn of Gardendale, and Aaron Kenney of
Odessa; daughters: Rebecca May and husband Dennis of Monahans,
Catherine Balent and husband Jim of Sandy, UT, and Carrie Hisel
and husband Gabriel of Brownfield, TX; two brothers: Cole and
Eddie Chandler, both of Odessa; three sisters: Barbara Nance of
Odessa, Glenda Parshall of Browntown, MI, and Linda Edwards of
Fayetteville, TX: and seven grandchildren: Joshua, Megan, Logan,
Brikayli, Blaire, Levi, and Harli; nine additional grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services
are set for 2:00 pm Friday, February 5, 2010 at Faith Community Baptist
Church officiated by Brother Wayne Shelton. Pallbearers will be
Ted Hickey, Anthony Cobos, T.J. Rogers, Shiloh Chandler, Parker May,
and Ronnie Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Blaire Kenney,
Logan Kenney, Levi Kenney, Joshua Kenney, and Jackson Hisel.
Interment will follow at Memorials in Brenda’s name may be made to MHMR of Odessa.

Charles Vaden
DeLeon Lopez, an infant, went to be with the angels on
Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Odessa Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his parents:
Francisco Sanchez Lopez III and Keri Lipsey of Odessa; paternal
grandfather: Francisco Sanchez Lopez Jr. of Odessa; maternal
grandparents: John and Reba Lawrence of Kingsland, TX; three
brothers: John Reese Lipsey, Wes Bryan Winslett, and Jude
Christopher Lipsey, all of Odessa; and one sister: Laurel
Banda Hart of Odessa.
His grandmother, Ramona DeLeon Lopez, preceded him in death.
Graveside
services will be 10:00 am Friday, February 5, 2010 at Los
Angeles Garden of Ector County Cemetery, officiated by Brother
Ronnie Newton. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West
Funeral Chapel.

Manuel Alvarado Salinas, age 82, died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at
Hospice House of Odessa. He was born in Barranco Azul, Chihuahua,
Mexico. He was a ranch hand.
He
is survived by his wife: Elva Levario Salinas of Odessa; four
sons: Jesus Salinas of Odessa, Jeronimo Salinas of Odessa,
Petronelo Salinas of Ft. Stockton, and Domitilo Salinas of Ft.
Stockton; four daughters: Manuela Colorado of Odessa, Petra Franco
of Odessa, Juana Marcos of Morton, TX and Romana Gallegos of
Ojinaga, Mexico; several brothers and sisters; fifteen
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be 11 am Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Iglesia
Apostolico de la Fe en Cristo Jesus in Cañada Ancha, Ojinaga,
Mexico with interment to follow at Panteon Cañada Ancha at 2 pm.
Odessa services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mexico
services are with Funeraria Rocha.

Paula Galindo Lerma,
age 75, was called away to be with her Lord on
Mrs. Lerma was a
very kind person, who always gave good advice, whether you wanted it or
not! She was always
warning others to be prepared – the Lord was coming.
She never played favorites, but loved each one of us the same,
with the slight exception for her great-granddaughter who had had heart
surgery – they always fought and argued and she held a special place in
her great-grandma’s heart.
She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping.
She was a devout Catholic, devoted to the Virgin Mary.

Guillermo Lerma; daughter:
Laura Alcorn; brother:
Antonio Galindo; and two sisters:
Pino Villalobos and Angelina Rascon, all preceded her to the
Heavenly gates.

Brenda Joan Johnson, age 51, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010
at Hospice House of Odessa. She was born in Seminole, TX on
December 18, 1958 to Guy Hubert Tolbert and Barbara Jean (Cowling)
Tolbert. She was an assistant manager.
She leaves behind her loving mother: Barbara Jean Tolbert;
daughter: Christina Murphy; son-in-law: Allen Wilson; brother:
Mike Tolbert; sister: Tina Good; and two grandchildren:
Emalth Goldsboro and Michael Faulk; niece: Bekah Good;
nephews: Jonathan Good, Phillip Good, and Michael Tolbert;
and best friend: Joyce Edward; all of Odessa.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are
entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

Keith David
Hardin left this world on Keith had a career as a truck driver.
He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, motorcycle riding,
and woodwork. Most of all
though, he loved just sitting on the porch with his family. Keith was an amazing husband, father, brother, and
friend. Keith gave the
kind of love that will last you a lifetime.
He will truly be missed.

Elena Anchondo, age 65, passed on to be with her Lord on Monday,
February 15, 2010 at Medical Center Hospital. She
was born in Cuchillo Parado, Mexico on March 9, 1944 to Luis and
Tomasa (Torres) Padilla. She was a homemaker. She was Catholic.
She is survived by her husband of
thirty-four years: Jesus Anchondo of Odessa; daughter: Luz Elena
Montoya and husband Eric of Odessa; one brother: Tomas Torres of
Ojinaga, MX; two sisters: Angelica Padron and Blanca Estella
Padron, both of Ojinaga, MX; and four grandchildren: Angelica
, Rebecca, Eric Jr. and Jesus Manuel Montoya, all of Odessa.
Rosary will be said 7:00 pm Wednesday,
February 17, 2010 at the 24 Hour Chapel of Acres West Funeral
Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm Thursday,
February 18, 2010 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, officiated by
Father Joe Uecker. Interment will follow at Los Angeles Garden of
Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West
