Gary Wayne Evans, age 39, passed
away on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his Odessa residence. He was
born in Mineral Wells, TX to George and Bessie Evans on May 15,
1970. He was Baptist.
His parents: George Leynard Evans and Bessie Mae Morgan of Jal, NM survive him, as well as five brothers: Dewayne Evans of Austin, Michael Evans, Sean Morgan, and Rick Morgan, all of Odessa, and Jerry Clayton, Jr. of Weatherford; and two sisters: Mindy McBride and Tracie McBride of Weatherford, TX.
No services are scheduled at this
time. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and
Crematory.

age 63, passed from this life on
June was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Her cherished family includes her daughter:
Ginger Young and husband Ronald of Odessa; son:
Duncan Daniel and wife Tiffany of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and three
brothers: John Grimes and
wife Jana of Austin, TX, Elton Grimes of Powderly, TX, and Travis
Grimes of Odessa. She was “Nonnie”
to five grandchildren: Cody
Young and wife Miriam and Eric Young and wife Angel, all of Odessa, and
Ashly Daniel, Aaron Daniel, and Savannah Lewis, all of Fort Lauderdale,
FL; and three great-grandchildren:
Alyssa Young, Jessica Young, and Trent Young, all of Odessa.
Her parents: Bill and
Evelyn Grimes, and one brother:
Troy Johnson, Jr. precede her in death.

James Lowell "Jamie" Wilson, II, age 55, passed away unexpectedly
of heart failure on Monday, March 29, 2010. He was born in Odessa on June 16, 1954 to James L. Wilson
I and Patricia J. (Bell) Wilson. He was a press man for Miller
Gold. He was a member of Zion Ministries and served his church for
six years. He served turkey dinners every year at
Thanksgiving. He loved Jesus, his Mama, and animals. He
was an old hippie, a cowboy, and a biker.
He is survived
by his loving partner: Billie Sue
"Butterfly" Coe of Odessa;
mother: Patricia Wilson of Austin;
step-son: Brad Gass of San Angelo;
brother: Forrestt E. Wilson of Austin; grandfather:
Herbert E. Bell; niece: Holland Quick of Davis, CA; uncle:
James D. and wife Judy Bell of Houston, TX; God Mother: Wanda
Barrett; and God Uncle: Fred Gariepy.
His father: James L. Wilson; grandmother: M. Virginia Bell; grandparents: Walt and Dot Wilson; aunt: Peggy English and uncles: Gordon and George L. Wilson precede him in death.
Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Friday, April 2, 2010 at Zion
Ministries, officiated by Bro. Dewey Blevins. Arrangements are
entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial to the food bank or Christmas fund at Zion Ministries may be made in Jamie's name.

James Louis Cooper, age 78, died
Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He
was a 40 year resident of Goldsmith. He was born in Stanton, Texas
on Nov. 16, 1931. He retired from Phillips Petroleum after 43
1/2 years.
James Louis Cooper married Dorothy Morrow on Louis was preceded in death by his mother:
Hazel Cooper Robbins; his father:
Cecil Cooper; and one sister:
Lucille Cooper. He is survived by his wife: Dorothy
Cooper, four children, thirteen grandchildren, nine
great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many dear
friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral
home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, April 2, 2010. Funeral services will be

Darwin Junior Reyes Hill, age 4
months, returned to the Lord on April 1, 2010 at Covenant
Children's Hospital in Lubbock, TX. He was born in Odessa on
Thursday, November 26, 2009.
Those left to cherish his love and
memory are his parents - Darwin Reyes and April Nicole Hill of
Odessa; maternal grandparents: Ray and Maria Hill of Odessa;
paternal grandparents: Ernesto and Maria Reyes of Honduras; and
one brother: Robert Reyes of Odessa.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Latter
Rain Worship Center, 19th and Jackson Streets, officiated by Pastor
Craig DeArmond. Interment will follow at Los Angeles Garden of
Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West
Funeral Chapel.

home in Odessa, TX. She was born in Cuchillo Parado, Mexico to

her husband: David Varnell of Odessa; her son: James Fulfer and wife
Charlotte of Odessa; a daughter: Becky Durham and husband Paul of
Aransas Pass, TX; six grandchildren: Ariel Lundberg of Aransas Pass,
Christopher and Zachary Fulfer of Odessa, Chad Durham and James Daniel
Durham, both of Aransas Pass, and Kimberly Frazier of Odessa; two
great-grandkids: Kaylee and Jessica Fraizer, both of Odessa; one
brother: Travis Threatt; two sisters: Kaye Patterson and Anne Bowman of
Odessa; and many friends.
Sandy never met a
stranger; she would make friends with anyone. Sandy was a loving mother
and wife, who cared for her family very much. She had a heart of gold
and would give the shirt off her back if it would help someone out. She
was a member of Antioch Christian Church. She married Jerry Fulfer in
1971. He preceded her in death. Sandy married David Varnell some years
later and spent the last fourteen years with him. She attended Odessa
High School and was a long time Bronchos fan. She was a Boy Scout
leader and Girl Scout leader for several years. She was a J.R.O.T.C Mom
as well. Services will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel with James Fulfer officiating. Services will be held at 5pm Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Burial will follow at the Varnell Family Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel. |
