Ramon Galindo Polanco, age 84, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010
at Hospice House of Odessa. He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua,
Mexico on April 4, 1926 to Esteban Polanco Contreras and Leonor Galindo
Aranda. He married Aurelia Pando on July 31, 1955 in Ojinaga.
He was a farmer.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his beloved wife:
Aurelia Polanco of Odessa; four sons: Ramon Polanco and Humberto
Polanco, both of Andrews, Victor Polanco of Midland and Esteban Polanco
of Ojinaga, MX; six daughters: Maria Galindo, Maria Esther
Polanco, Guadalupe Hernandez and Griselda Terrazaz, all of Odessa, Ana
Maria Udave of Ojinaga, MX, and Mayla Polanco of Chihuahua, MX; one
brother: Jesus Polanco of El Paso; five sisters: Josephina
Pando of Presidio, Nina Acosta of El Paso, Rita Olivas and Felicia
Sanchez, both of Ojinaga, MX and Manuela Rodriguez of Delicias,
Chihuahua, MX; thirty-two grandchildren and twenty-two
great-grandchildren. Rosary will be said 7:00 pm Friday, April 30, 2010 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday, May 1, 2010 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Los Angeles Garden of Ector County Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Elvis Galindo, Obed Hernandez, Christian Polanco, Jesus Polanco, Larry Polanco, and Trinidad Terrazaz. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

John Henry Johnson, Jr. age 53, passed away on
Saturday, May 01, 2010 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He
was an Odessa resident. He was a truck driver. He is survived by his wife: Delores Alexander
of Odessa; son: Robert Alexander of Odessa; daughter:
Angela Alexander of Odessa; and four grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date.

| David Robert Pollard |
|
David Robert Pollard, age 58, passed from this life
on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Hospice House of Odessa.
He was born in Monterey Park, CA to Robert W. Pollard and Norma
Sue (McClelland) Pollard on Sunday, September 16, 1951.
He married Linda Lichenstein in Odessa on August 25, 1979.
He served in the US Navy from 1972 to 1978, then worked in
oilfield sales for Anchor Bolt and Big 3 Industries.
David and Linda were members of Temple Beth El, but
also worshipped with the congregants at Westside Christian Church.
He was a creative man with a love of music.
This resulted in his interest in playing and writing music.
He was a gifted guitarist and had written several original
songs. He also took
photographs of his travels and could produce video journals or
electronic scrapbooks that made you feel as though you were with him
for the journey. He was a
loving husband and a very generous man.
He had a kinship with his pet dogs.
They were always a part of the family to him, and he provided
for them with love and compassion. Those left to cherish his love and memory include
his wife of over thirty years:

Robert “Bob” Pollard and Donald Pollard and wife Jan, all of
Bakersfield, CA, and Thomas Gregory Pollard and wife Adrienne of Tampa,
FL; nephews: Josh and
Finn; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. His father:
Robert W. Pollard; his uncle:
Jim McClelland; grandfather:
James P. McClelland; grandfather:
Claude Pollard; and grandmother:
Mary McClelland, precede him in death. Public visitation will begin at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, May 7, 2010 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Don Swindell. Pallbearers will be: Eddie Perales, Dale LaCroix, Eric Evans, Eddie Rhodes, Donald Pollard, Sam Lichenstein, Joel Rhodes, Robert Parker, Ken Parker and Thomas Pollard. Bob Tobin will be an honorary pallbearer. Interment with military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Garland Edward Keasler, Jr. age 66, died
Monday, May 03, 2010 at his Odessa residence. He was born in
Hobbs, NM to Garland Keasler Sr. and Connie Nunley. He was in
maintenance for the school district transportation department.
He was a US Air Force Veteran. He was Baptist. Those left to cherish his love and memory are
his wife of 25 years: Barbara Keasler of Odessa; two sons:
Michael Gabrel of Cortez, CO and Jimmy Gabrel of Odessa; one
brother: John Keasler: San Diego, CA; one sister:
Martha Good of New Orleans, LA; two grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 9:00 am Wednesday,
May 5, 2010 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Owen
Sharp. Interment with military honors will be at 2:00 pm at
the Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery in Abilene, TX.

Natividad Lujan Ortega, age 85, died Monday, May 3, 2010 at her Odessa residence. She was born in Ojinaga, Mexico to Paz and Andrea (Rodrigues) Lujan on September 8, 1924. She was a homemaker. Six sons survive her:
Javier Ortega, Samuel Ortega, Auden Ortega and Abdiel Ortega,
all of Odessa, and Ruben Ortega and Manuel Ortega, both of Ojinaga, MX;
as well as five daughters: Maria
Galindo of Midland and Olivia Anzurez, Olga Soto, Andrea Minjarez, and
Hortencia Valenzuela, all of Odessa; two brothers:
Rufino Lujan and Constantion Lujan, both of Ojinaga; four
sisters: Ramona Ramirez
and Olivera Lujan, both of Odessa; Petra Peńa
of El Paso and Racquel Zuniga of Dallas; 46 grandchildren; 66
great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at noon Thursday, May 6,
2010 at La Parroquia de Nuestro Padre Jesus in Ojinaga, Chihuahua,
Mexico with interment to follow at Jardines de San Jose.

Enrique Salazar, age 73, went to be with the Lord
on Tuesday, May 4,
2010 at Hospice House of Odessa.
He was born in Buenos Aires, Chihuahua, Mexico to Gregorio and Teresa
(Olivas) Salazar.
He was a farmer and crew leader.
He was a Presidio resident and a member of the Church of Christ. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife:
Josefina Vasquez Salazar of Presidio; four sons:
Elizar Salazar of Levelland, TX, and Antonio Salazar, Enrique
Salazar, and Adan Salazar, all of Midland; five daughters:
Yolanda Burrola of Presidio, Noemi Alexander
and Rosa Ortiz,
both of Levelland, Maribel Corrales of Presidio, and Marisela Baeza of
Coyanosa, TX; one brother:
Dulses Nombres Salazar of San Angelo; twenty-eight grandchildren and
twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 9:00 am Friday, May 7, 2010 at Iglesia de Cristo in Presidio, TX, officiated by Brother Pablo Rodriguez. Interment will follow at the Redford Cemetery in Redford, TX. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa.

Aaron Duane Joyce, age 78, passed away on Tuesday,
May 4, 2010 at Buena Vida Nursing Center in Odessa, TX.
He was born in White County, IL on September 26, 1931 to Orran
and Veda (Munsey) Joyce. He is survived by one brother: Wayne Joyce of Hobbs, NM and three sisters: Marilyn Gage, Frances McFatridge, and Ida Berry Jones, all of Odessa. His parents and one brother: Aubby Joyce. Memorial services will be at a later date.

| Larry Mac Clement |
|
Larry Mac Clement, age 61, passed from this life on Thursday, May 6,
2010 at his residence in Odessa.
He was born in Lamesa on February 28, 1949 to MacDonald Clement
and Frances Larue Pewitt. He married the love of his life, Cheyrl
Brooks, on March 5, 1970 in Odessa. They
shared 40 wonderful years together.
He loved to coach Little League baseball. He also loved to play pool.
Larry played the role of Santa Claus for his family for over 30 years.
His favorite pastime was spending time with his extended family. He
worked as a roughneck in the oilfield for many years and was better
known as “Scooter”. He was
a member of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife:
Cheyrl Clement of Odessa; two
daughters: Misty Torres
and husband Felipe and Dee Hill and husband Jacob, both of Odessa;
brother: James Tackel of
Odessa; four grandchildren:
Candace Clement, Jarod Clement, Kaybrie Hill, and Ammelie Hill,
all of Odessa; and one great-grandchild: Conner Don Brooks of Odessa.
He was preceded in death by his parents: MacDonald and Frances Clement;
father-in-law: D.W.
Brooks; mother-in-law: Ruby Allene Adams; and brother: Kenneth Don
Clement.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Acres West
Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Clydell Chapman.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers
will be Jarod Clement, Buster Brooks, Felipe Torres, Jacob Hill, Eddie
Fulton, Calvin Morris, Johnny Ray McDorman, and Tony Brooks. Honorary
pallbearers will be Doug Yarbor, Keith Hill, Ricky Mitchell, and Craig
Brooks. The family would like to send a special thanks to Star Hospice and Ricky and Roxanna Mitchell for everything that they did for the family.

Ronald Mercer, age 57, passed from this life on
Thursday, May 06, 2010 at his Odessa residence.
He was born in Kermit, TX on August 10, 1952 to Billy Lee Dale
Mercer and Mary Alice Stroud Mercer.
He was a mechanic and a musician. He is survived by his mother:
Mary Alice Bryant of Odessa; two sons:
Matthew Mercer of Odessa and Ronnie Mercer, Jr. of Arlington;
two daughters: Melanie
Mercer of Midland and Kimberly Mercer of Odessa; one brother:
Billy Mercer of Odessa; three sisters:
Nancy Graham of Charlotte, TX, Elizabeth Mercer of Odessa and
Marlo Rogan of Allentown; and two grandchildren. Informal Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Saturday,
May 8, 2010 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Wylie "W. C." Dugger, age 74, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at his Odessa residence. He was born in Apache, OK to Samuel Wylie Dugger and Amy (Hollis) Dugger on January 12, 1936. He was a self employed welder. He is survived by two sons: Dale Dugger and Charles Dugger, both of Odessa; sister: Pauline Brewton of Roswell, NM; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. One daughter: Denise Dugger; a brother: Jimmy Dugger; and a sister: Ester Brewton, precede him in death. Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, May 10, 2010 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Clydel Chapman. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Alvis Lee Pounds, age 92, went to be with the Lord
on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at her residence in Odessa. She was born on
Saturday, August 25, 1917 in Blackwell, TX to John Dunam and Ola
Swindell. She married the love of her life, Sherman Pounds on May 28,
1980. She was a faithful member of Crossroads Fellowship in Odessa.
Alvis was a beloved wife, mother , sister and friend. She will be
missed dearly. Those left to cherish her love and memory include:
her husband: Sherman of Odessa, one son: Jerry Pounds of Longview, TX.;
four daughters: Doris Been of Pampa, TX, Glenda Burwell and Lana
Peatree, both of Odessa and Rebecca Ferguson of Balinger; one sister:
JoAnn Marshall of San Springs, TX and 14 Grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to Home

Elmer Wayne McLemore, age 83, died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Big Spring, TX. He was born in Mexia, TX on February 18, 1927 to Ivan and Ethel (Liles) McLemore. He was a Baptist minister and had pastored churches in Odessa, Clovis, NM, and Canutillo, TX. He was also an Army Veteran who served our country during WWII. Those left to cherish his love and memory are his son: John W. McLemore of Gardendale, TX; sister: Ruby McKee of Martindale, TX; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
