Teresa C. Sanchez, age 46, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born in Van Horn on February 11, 1964 to Simon Sanchez and Rafaela (Calderon) Sanchez. She was a bookkeeper and an avid reader. A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and mother, she was the family historian and was always the one to remind you of everyone else’s birthdays.
Teresa was an avid Catholic, who, like her patron saint, St. Thérèsa of the Little Flower (Lisieux), gave in many little ways; such as volunteering at church and donating blood.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents: Simon and Rafaela Sanchez of Van Horn; five sisters: Linda Sanchez Whiting of Dallas, Kathryn Fuentes of Odessa, Mary Lou Kirkman of Sachse, and Barbara Sanchez and Nancy Sanchez, both of Richardson.
Her son: Alejandro Simon Sanchez precedes her in death.

Roberto Julian Lozoya, age 62, of Odessa, Texas, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Hospice House. He was born in Naica, Chihuahua, MX on January 9, 1948. He worked in oilfield construction and enjoyed his work.
Roberto loved to fish, gamble, drink, smoke, and listen to music. He was a happy man who loved his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He was devoted to his wife and took care of her for the last ten years while she was on bed rest. When he lost her it left a big void in his life.
He is survived by his mother: Maria (Aguilar) Lozoya of Naica, MX; two daughters: Rosa Hernandez and Teresa Maria of Odessa; four sons: Roberto Lozoya, Marco Lozoya, Alex Lozoya, and Luis Lozoya, all of Odessa; four sisters: Eva Angelina Ortiz of Chihuahua, MX, Consuelo Vargas of Fairbanks, AK, Lupe Ferrel and Inez Lozoya, both of El Paso; two brothers: Raul Lozoya and Jorge Lozoya, both of Naica, MX; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Maria Lozoya; his father: Guadalupe Lozoya; two brothers: Jesus and Alfredo Lozoya; and one sister: Irma Lozoya.

Maria Herlinda Rodriguez Barron, age 40, passed from this life on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX. She was born on Tuesday, October 7, 1969 in Acuna, Mexico to Raul and Irene (Montanez) Rodriguez. She was a caregiver. She married Antonio Barron, and they had three children together.
Maria loved to read, dancing, and crossword puzzles. She loved music, especially cumbia and country. Her favorite country artist was Alan Jackson. Other pastimes that Maria enjoyed included driving around town, shopping, and spending time with her kids.

Xavier Sanchez, age 23, passed from this life on Monday, September 27, 2010 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in San Antonio on October 6, 1986 to Rogelio Sanchez and Cynthia (Rodriguez) Carrasco. He attended Permian High School. He was a warm, loving person, who was fun to be around. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his mother: Cynthia Carrasco; step-father: Fred Vogt III; three brothers: Jesse Vogt, Christopher Vogt and Fred Vogt IV; and three sisters: Melissa Mendoza, Jessica Vogt, and Vanessa Vogt; all of Odessa. David William Sweeden passed away at the Hospice House on September 28, 2010.
He was born in Midland, TX July 7, 1958 to Louis and Margaret Sweeden. As a teenager he moved to Odessa. He attended Permian High School. He worked in the oil field his whole life. He met Kay Slaughter and had two daughters Kandis Sweeden and Krystle McGill.
He was a wonderful father, son and friend. He liked country and rock music, fishing, hunting, drinking beer and bar-b-qing with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Hubert and Crystal Willis, Lenlie and Nettie Sweeden, brother Robert Sweeden, and Granddaughter Destiny Sweeden.
He is survived by parents: Louis and Margaret Sweeden; daughters: Kandis Sweeden and Krystle McGill both of Odessa; sisters: Cecilia Moseley of Odessa and Patti Philips of Medford,OR; aunt: Huline Holand of Odessa; cousin: Michele Martinez of Odessa; six grandchildren: Shane Wicklander, Jaramiah Mejia, Braden Sweeden, Micheal Surles, Landon McGill and Kayleigh Surles; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Dana D. Donaldson, age 52, passed from this life on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born in Pasadena, TX on April 10, 1958 to Floyd Drake and Sue (Adams) Drake Avery. She was a member of the Church of God. Dana married Kyle Donaldson on June 6, 1975 in Texarkana, AR. They had recently celebrated 35 years together. She was the co-owner of Donaldson Fire and Safety. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Goldsmith. He was born on Wednesday, November 4, 1959 to Wendell Lee
Hicks, Sr. and Millie Ruth Netherly in Monroe, LA.
He married Cassie Riggen on October 14, 1996 in Odessa.
Wendell was a wonderful father to Michael Lee Hicks,
Neil Allen Riggen and Jeffrey Ben Riggen. He was also a wonderful
Grumpy to all five of his grandsons. Wendell was a wonderful companion
to his wife, Cassie Hicks.

Sheila Anne Hunt, age 72, passed away Friday, October 08, 2010 at her Odessa home. She was born in Jacksboro, TX on May 25, 1938 to Elias Dan Cloninger and Willie Lee (Jolly) Cloninger. She married Clinton Lester Hunt on August 28, 1957 in Odessa. She was a homemaker; beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Clinton Hunt; three sons: Thomas Dan Powers and wife Tammy, Michael Don Powers and wife Debbie, and Clinton Ray Hunt and wife Sabrina; one sister: Madilyn Marie Lowman; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, all of Odessa.

Dustin Dell Brown Teague
Dustin Dell Brown Teague, age 22, of Odessa, Texas, was taken unexpectedly up to Heaven on Sunday, October 10, 2010. He was born in Odessa on June 5, 1988 to John Carl Teague II and Shannon Dell (Brown) Teague. He was a typical rowdy boy. He loved fast cars and good times and enjoyed life like he was bulletproof. He bought a Camero when he was 18. He started playing ice hockey with the Permian JV. He later was on the Midland Bulldogs team, playing together with his brother and sister. He was employed by Pinnacle Pipe Inspection and was contracted out of the Smith Pipeyard. He had lost his left index finger in an oilfield accident. Dustin was in a committed relationship with Chelsea Jo Taylor and they had a son together, Kaiden Dell Teague, affectionately called “Dr. K” by his dad. He was all wrapped up in Kaiden and loved him like no other.

|Everett (Buck) Otto Molitor|
Everett (Buck) Otto Molitor (86) of Odessa, Texas passed away on 10/10/2010. He was born in Seminole, Oklahoma, the son of Ruth and Otto Molitor. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Wardna for 68 years.
During World War II, Everett entered the 82nd Infantry preparing for D-Day. After getting pneumonia, he transferred to London where he worked as a Code-Breaker. He served overseas for 2 1/2 years gaining the rank of Master Sergeant.
The Molitors raised their children in Oklahoma. Everett and Wardna moved to Odessa 39 years ago, where he worked as Area Manager for The Western Company until retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Wardna; his 3 children, Jean, Mike and Susan; and 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Don in 1964.
A cremation was held at Acres West Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held later at Little Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma. Everett was a member of the Sunset Golf Course and Cumberland Presbyterian Church. As a member of the “Greatest Generation”, he served with valor and will be missed by many friends and family.

|SSG Tony Daniel Nix|
Tony Daniel Nix, age 33, formerly of Kermit, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born in Odessa on February 11, 1977 to Ronald James Nix and Cindy Jean (Charles) Warren. He graduated from Kermit High School in 1995.
He enlisted in the US Navy on August 25, 1995 as a Tomahawk Cruise Missile Technician, where he served superbly for 13 years. Wishing to continue his service to his country, SSG Nix departed the Navy and joined the Army in 2008 as a 91G, Fire Control Repairer. Shortly after joining the Army, he deployed with Delta Company, 201st BSB, to Operation Enduring Freedom from July 2008 to June 2009. SSG Nix was instrumental in maintaining the various weapon systems in the 6th Squadron, 4th Calvary Regiment. SSG Nix was a disciplined, knowledgeable, loyal, and caring NCO who would have only continued to succeed. SSG Nix loved the outdoors, particularly enjoying hunting and fishing. His favorite pastime was taking care of soldiers and their families and sharing stories about his two daughters. SSG Nix was a great citizen soldier who loved America and serving the nation. He was currently stationed at Fort Knox.
During his enlistments, SSG Nix received the Army Commendation
Medal (1 OLC), the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Army Good
Conduct Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal with two Services Stars, and the
Army Combat Action Badge.
