and body work and was a welder’s helper.

Heidi Nycole Evans Marichalar, our baby girl, left this life on Sunday,
December 26, 2010 to be with her Lord.
Heidi lived life to the fullest, never leaving a stone unturned.
She had a heart of gold, leaving a legacy of love for her boys
to carry on. When a laugh
was needed, Heidi was always there to make it happen.
Her love for family and friends to Heidi was deep and true.
Heidi had a light in her eyes and a smile on her face that will
forever guide us.
She was born in Odessa on January 25, 1988 to Melissa Evans Ostergren
and Ray Marichalar. She
was a student.

Brian Vencent Brower, age 53, died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Hospice House of Odessa. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on August 13, 1957 to Vaughn and Gladys (Ratcliff) Brower. He was a cook and was a former Corpus Christi resident.
He is survived by three brothers: Kyle Brower of Missoula, MT, Blake Brower of Cedar Hill, MO, and Eric Brower of San Diego, CA; two sisters: Laura Burns of Cedar Hill, MO and Maureen Powell of Salt Lake City, UT; and his caregiver and best friend: Tamra and Steven Lopez and their children, Joseph and Apryl Morris.

Billy Wayne Durbin passed Monday Dec. 27, 2010 at Medical Center
Hospital in Odessa, TX after a long battle with illnesses. He was born
June 27, 1957 in Kermit, TX to Delores and Wayne Durbin. Billy was
loved by many and will be dearly missed.
In his early years he worked in the oilfields well servicing and a driving trucks. One of his true loves was woodworking. Billy had a quick wit and was very humorous, always the life of the party. You could always count on his karaoke rendition of ”You Never Even Called Me By My Name" to make you smile. A s

Albert James Gladding II passed away peacefully in his residence the morning of Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Albert was born in Oakland, CA on July 16, 1927 to Augustus L. Gladding and Ruth Clark Viehmann. He served in the U.S. Army’s 11th Airborne division in World War II, returning to civilian life to learn the family business at Gladding McBean in Lincoln, CA, later co-owning Gladding Ceramic Insulator in San Jose, CA.
He moved to Odessa, TX in 1983, where he worked as an aviation lineman for Wagner and Brown, retiring at the age of 70.
Survivors include his wife and partner of 40 years: Billie Jo Gladding; children: Albert James Gladding III of Concord, CA, Adriane Gladding of Odessa, Michael Tharp of Granbury, TX, and Kelley Bradshaw of Odessa.
Albert was the best partner a wife could have and the best father a child could ask for. If you knew Albert, you loved him.

Virgie Bernice Clary Chandler, 78, of Odessa was called home Tuesday, December 28, 2010. She was born on December 8, 1932 to Mr. and Mrs. George R. Clary in Breckenridge. She moved to Odessa from Breckenridge in 1951. Bernice married Roy Don Chandler on October 2, 1953 in Alamogordo, NM.
Bernice is preceded in death by her husband: Roy Don Chandler on July 6, 2007; her parents: George Rubin Clary and Virgie Lee Wells; her daughter: Brenda Kay Brych; granddaughter: Sandy Nance; two great-grandchildren: Kaitlen Parker and Roger Rogers; two sisters: Mildred Roberts and Bertie Segler; and three brothers: Johnny Roy, Jimmy Ray, and James Arnold Clary.
Survivors include one brother: George Donald Clary of Odessa; daughters: Barbara Nance, Linda Chandler, and Glenda Parshall, all of Odessa; sons: Eddie Chandler and Cole Chandler, both of Odessa; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Kimberly Dawn Stunkard Ashcraft, age 45, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Hospice House. She was born in Dallas, TX on July 7, 1965. She was a dollar store cashier.
She is survived by her father Terry Stunkard of Cumby, TX; her son: Cody Harrison of Odessa; and two sisters: Dina Stunkard of Odessa and Staci Strickland of Jefferson, TX.

Ronald “Ron” Gene Sims, age 69, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Eastland, TX on July 26, 1941 to Lennie James “L.J.” and Margaret F. (Holloway) Sims. He was a yard foreman for E.L. Farmer Trucking Company.
Ronald enjoyed being outdoors. His favorite pastimes included shooting sports, traveling, and hiking. He also enjoyed writing and was an avid animal lover.

Learneda May Schneider, age 85, of Odessa, Texas, died Friday, December
31, 2010 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. She was born on July 29,
1925 to George L. and Eithel (Gray) Miller in Casper, Wyoming.
As an infant, her parents moved to Marmorth, North Dakota. They moved
back to Wyoming in 1932. Learneda received her education in Wyoming,
graduating from Waskakie County High in Worland, Wyoming. She worked
various jobs. In 1945, she married John Schneider. Learneda was active
in the Altar Guild and Hobby Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother;
sons: Kenneth Schneider, Kameron Schneider, Gerald Schneider, Dwain
Schneider, and Jack Schneider; daughters: Sharon Schneider and Anna
Marie Schneider; and great grandson: Hilton Dean Goff.
