Vickie Elaine Daughtery
Vickie Elaine Daughtery, age 52, of Odessa, Texas,
passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born in Big Spring on February 9, 1959 to Ben and Bennie
Vickie was a retired licensed vocational nurse who
worked at the Big Spring State Hospital and Permian Basin Community
Center for MHMR. She was
an extremely creative person who enjoyed dancing, singing, playing
guitar, and painting with watercolors and oils. She had invented her
own cartoon character and was just learning cake decorating.
Vickie was a loving person who was devoted to her family and
gave freely of herself to them. She
was a beautiful person inside and out.
She is survived by her long-time companion:
Lori Don Scott of Odessa; two sons:
David Scott and wife Leslie and Justin Scott, all of Odessa;
brothers: Ben Daughtery,
Jr. of Hoama, LA, Terry Daughtery of Dahlonega, GA, and Joben Daughtery
of Lower Lake, CA; two sisters:
Kay Kennemur and husband Danny and Tammie Daughtery, all of Big
Spring, TX; one grandchild:
Marley Scott of Odessa; and numerous nieces and nephews,
great-nieces and great-nephews.

Sanford Dee “Sandy” Preslar II of Odessa, age 73, passed from this life on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Hospice House in Odessa. He was born on February 4, 1938 to the late Sanford Dee Sr. and Orleana (Cosatt) Preslar in Fort Worth, Texas. He married Mona Angus on June 8, 1958 in Ranger, Texas. They celebrated over 52 years of marriage together.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son: Troy Preslar.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Mona Preslar of Odessa; sons: Trey Preslar and wife Jacque, Trapper Preslar and wife Misty, Trinity Preslar and wife Crissy, all of Odessa; daughter: Denise Davis and husband Wesley of Abilene; brother: Layne Preslar and wife Sue of Three Rivers, NM; and eleven grandchildren: Jade and Chelsea Preslar, Dillon, Jordan, Reagan, and Keaton Davis, Hannah, Taylor, and Trison Preslar, and Tanner and London Preslar.

He was a drummer in the band “Mr. Burns” and owned his own

Linda Darlene Tew Alegria, age 51, of Odessa, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Hospice House. She was born in Odessa on August 26, 1959 to Rudolph William Tew and Otilia (Ybarra) Tew. She was a homemaker; beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of New Life Ministries Church and loved the Lord and her religion.
Linda was a Dallas Cowboys fan. She enjoyed camping and soul food. She also was a collector. More than anything, she loved her family and devoted herself to her husband, children, and grandchildren.

James Glenn Couch, age 49, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at his home. He was born in Carlsbad, NM on July 14, 1961 to James Charles “Sonny” Couch and Esther LaVern (Upton) Couch. One of four children, he was the “best” baby. He married, Leisa Michelle Jarrett on September 22, 1981. They enjoyed 28 years together before they were separated by her death on March 17, 2010. He missed his wife dearly.
Glenn was a tough guy and could be honery, but sweet as could be underneath. He was a comic character and a tease, who could scare you to death – then hug you until you got over it. A wonderful father and grandfather, he was loving to all. Glenn raised game cocks and loved all animals. He enjoyed watching the Cowboys play.

Glenn Douglas Finn
Glenn Douglas Finn went to be with the Lord March 7, 2011 at the age of 82. Glenn was the second child of Joe & Louise Finn. He was born in Grainola, Oklahoma on August 20, 1928. Glenn lost his mother at the age of 6 and his father at age 14. He and his siblings were raised by his step-mother, Minnie Finn. Glenn went to school in Grainola through the 3rd grade and then to Foraker, Oklahoma where he graduated in 1946. Glenn married his high school sweetheart June Martin on October 22, 1949. They celebrated their 61st anniversary this past October. Glenn and June were blessed with three children. Glenn Dustin “Dusty” Finn, Paul Dee Finn, and Linda June Anderegg. Glenn worked as a cowboy before owning his own ranch in Arkansas. He later sold his ranch and went to work for Phillips Petroleum where he worked in both Oklahoma and Texas. He retired in 1987 having worked for Phillips for 34 years. After his retirement with Phillips he took up his passion for wood working. He made his children, grandchildren, and other relatives and friends beautiful pieces of furniture. Glenn and June traveled all through the United States seeing numerous historical and beautiful places and enjoyed several cruises. They enjoyed “country” living to the fullest but moved a few years ago to town to be closer to their daughter. Glenn was a member of First Baptist Church Odessa.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Louise Finn, his two brothers Gene and John Finn, his sister Mary Jo Finn Griggs, and a granddaughter Charity Day Finn.
He is survived by his wife June Finn of the home, son Dusty Finn and wife Jody of Montrose, Colorado, Dee Finn and wife Jeanie of Odessa, and daughter Linda Anderegg and husband Rick of Odessa. Grandchildren Lacy Finn Borgo and husband Doug and their daughters Aiden and Anwen all of Montrose, Colorado; Brandan Finn and wife Mary of San Antonio, Texas; Jerrod Finn and wife Sabrina and their children Ryan, Jonathan, and Victoria of Broad Run, Virginia; Melissa Finn Clark and husband Eric and their son Jackson of Haslet, Texas; Emmy Anderegg Espericueta and husband Freddy of Prosper, Texas and Tyler Anderegg of Leadville, Colorado.

March 8, 2011.
He was born in Odessa on February 26, 1983 to Oscar S. Cadena
Sr. and the late Karen Sauceda Cadena.
He was a painter and carpet installer.
He is survived by his father: Oscar S. Cadena, Sr.; his mom: Tammy Marie Sauceda of Odessa; and three sisters: Ashley Sauceda and Valerie Cadena, both of Odessa, and Maria Sauceda of Monahans.
