Karen Dee Rowlett, age 49, of Odessa, passed away on Thursday, June 21,
2012, at Hospice House of Odessa.
She was born in McCamey, TX on April 22, 1963 to Patricia Ann
(Hybarger) Butler and the late Charles James Weber.
She was a homemaker, a loving, caring mother, who was very
protective. She was always
there for her family when they needed her.
Karen was very outspoken and full of life.
She was a people person with a great sense of humor.
She loved rock music and riding motorcycles.
She had always wanted a Harley Davidson and rode whenever she
got the opportunity.
Karen was a simple person who enjoyed simple things like relaxing in
her yard with her dogs or getting together with her family.
She loved spoiling her grandbabies, then sending them home.
She is survived by her mother:

Xavier Isaiah Lopez, infant son of Ismael Lopez and Clarissa Delgado of Odessa, was carried by the angels to Jesus’s side on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Hospice House of Odessa. He was born in Odessa on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 and we borrowed him from Heaven for three days.
In addition to his loving parents, Little Xavier is also survived by his maternal grandparents: Rick and Minnie Delgado of Odessa; paternal grandparents: Ismael Lopez Jr and Melissa Lopez of Colorado; and his sister: Aubrey Lyn Lopez of Odessa.

Misty Dawn Dominguez, age 30, of Odessa, passed from this life on Saturday, June 23, 2012 in Odessa, TX. She was born June 11, 1982 in Fort Stockton, TX to Valeria Dominguez Lopez. She was a homemaker and mother who loved her children dearly.
Misty was full of life, loved people and had many friends. Though she could be wild and crazy, she was always consistent with and full of the love she had for her kids. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be missed by all.

Eloy Hernandez, age 37, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012, in Odessa after a fatal car accident. He was born in Greeley, Colorado on August 4, 1974 to the late Alvaro and Trinidad (Ramirez) Hernandez. Eloy was self-employed as a welder. He was Catholic.
He is survived by his son: Eloy Hernandez, Jr. of Sherman; daughter: Brianna Hernandez of Sherman; and brother: Hector Hernandez of Odessa.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister: Sorcorro.

Maria Ignacia Porras, age 77, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. She was born on January 28, 1935 in Presidio County, TX. She was a homemaker, a beloved mother and grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons: Tony and Miguel Porras, both of Odessa; six daughters: Hortencia Porras, Elpedia Porras, Ramona Lujan, Delma Porras, Micaela Porras, all of Odessa, and Naomi Porras of Farmersville, TX; one brother: Tonico Soto of California; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her mother: Margarita Garcia; husband: Rafael Porras; son: Victor Porras; brothers: Jesus and Juan Soto, Catarino Soto, and Felipe Soto; and sister: Colaca Soto all preceded her in death.
My Mom was our world. Her home was always open to everyone.
She was a great cook and everyone loved her asado and tortillas.
Our lives will never be the same without her. Our hearts are

|Gilbert Albiderez Madrid|
Gilbert Albiderez Madrid, “Tamales”, age 65, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at his home. He was born in Colorado City, Texas on November 9, 1946 to the late Felipe and Maria (Albiderez) Madrid. Mr. Madrid served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals and was discharged in 1968 at the rank of Specialist 4th Class. He received the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Marksmanship Medal, and Overseas Bar. Gilbert married Teresa Medrano in Colorado City on July 21, 1969 and they enjoyed almost 43 years together. He worked as a mechanic and was a member of the Catholic Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Teresa Madrid of Odessa; two daughters: Melissa Madrid and husband Abel and Graciela Suchil and husband Marco, all of Odessa; two sons: David Madrid and wife Lupe and Jesse Madrid, all of Odessa; two sisters: Angie Ramos Ortiz and Nancy Ramos, both of Windsor, Calif.; one brother: Antonio Madrid of Windsor, Calif.; six grandchildren: Isella Saenz and husband Joel, Larissa B. Suchil, Brittany Alvarez, Marco Suchil, Jr., Abel Alvarez, Jr., and Makayla Suchil, all of Odessa; and two great-grandchildren: Joel Baeza, Jr. and Janessa Baeza, both of Odessa.
In addition to his parents: Felipe and Maria Madrid, Mr. Madrid is also preceded in death by seven brothers: Felix Madrid, Johnny Madrid, Felipe Munoz Madrid, Jr., Raul Madrid, Billy Joe Ramos, Abel Ramos, and Daniel Ramos; and his grandparents: Tomas and Antonia Madrid and Manuel and Andrea Albiderez.

Wallace Louis Park, 78, of Odessa, died June 25, 2012 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born September 20, 1933 in Quinton, Oklahoma to the late Fred and Myrtle (Bell) Park. He was a retired printer.
His wife: Ella Mae (Smith) Park of Odessa survives him.

Ricky “Rick” Clay Sharp, 50, of Odessa, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at his residence in Odessa. He was born in Rotan, Texas on May 18, 1962 to Romie Lee Sharp and Bonnie Jean Sheldon.
Rick was a sweet kid and loved everybody. He would hug everyone he met every time he met you. He was extremely proud of his nieces and nephews. He was never found without a picture of them all. Rick loved fishing, country music (old country), guitar, and family reunions. When he sang he had a beautiful voice. It is hard to find lifetime friends but Rick had one and she was his best friend, Ashley Martin. And his best buddy in the world was his dog, Hootus. Rick will be missed by all he knew and loved and who loved him.

She was born in Foreman, Arkansas on February 1, 1944 to the
late Virgil David Hammond and Clara Mae (Honnoll) Hammond.
She was a counselor the Starlite Recovery Center in
Kerrville, TX. She was
a member of the United Church of God.
She is survived by two daughters:
Sherrie Tehas of Odessa and Captollia Renee Williams of Leachville,
Ark.; one sister:
Oleta Mangus of Odessa; four grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren; and her good friend: Darrell.

Guadalupe Almanza Maldonado Smith, 85, of El Paso, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Hospice House in Odessa. She was born in Winslow, Arizona on January 30, 1927 to Jose and Apolonia Almanza. Guadalupe was a retired factory seamstress. She married Marvin Smith of Jacksboro, Texas. They enjoyed their brief time together until his death.
She was an upbeat, happy and popular person loved by all who knew her. She truly enjoyed her life, family, friends and her dogs.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her son: Oscar and wife Frankie Sue Maldonado of Odessa; sisters: Lucy Almanza and Mary Almanza both of Norwalk, California; grandchildren: William Maldonado, James E. Maldonado & Paul J. Maldonado all of Odessa; great- grandchildren: Logan, Cameron Aaron, Nathan, Blake, Landon, Kiarra, Bryne, and Phinox; one great-great granddaughter ( and one great-great grandchild on the way); and numerous nephews and nieces.

Buddie M. Robnett
Buddie M. Robnett went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 30, 2012 following a brief illness. He was admitted to Home Hospice of Odessa, Texas on June 12, 2012 and moved to Hospice House on June 14, 2012 where he was lovingly cared for by the Angels of Hospice House until his untimely death at age 64 years.
Buddie was born in Littlefield, Texas on January 9, 1948 to Zeph and Edna Mae Robnett. He grew up in Earth, Texas where he attended schools there until he graduated from high school in 1965. He attended South Plains College and Texas Tech University where he majored in accounting. While working at Lubbock National Bank he met and married Carla Sue Fortune. They were married for 25 years and had 3 children. They lived in Lockney, Texas for many years and Buddie was an active member of the Lockney Baptist Church until he moved to Lubbock, Texas in March of 1996.
Buddie met Lynn Pool Day in October of 1995 at a Singles Ministry Function in Lubbock, Texas. They were married on March 16, 1996 and they had a very happy marriage until his death.
Buddie was employed by U.S.D.A. for over 23 years until he retired in 1998. Following his retirement from U.S.D.A., he was employed by Lowe’s Grocery Store/Ace Hardware in Lubbock and Odessa, Texas until October 2011. He was the Night Manager of the West University Street Lowe’s/Ace Hardware Store in Odessa. He loved his fellow employees and was always willing to help anyone in need. He sometimes helped pay for his customers groceries when their funds ran short, gave customers a ride home if necessary, and would even go to their homes when time allowed to help work on or finish repairs if they needed help or were unable to do the job themselves! He was a man of few words and believed hands on teaching was most effective. Buddie was known for always having a project going. He could be found working on cars and piddling in the shop most days after he retired. He was greatly loved by everyone who knew him and will be sorely missed.
Buddie’s greatest loves were his family, wife, children, his seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews as well as his dearest friends.

Johnston and husband Sam of Buffalo Gap, Texas; grandchildren: Alexa-Rae Gist, Bryce Gist, Zackary Gist, Breeana Gist, Sophia Crawford, Elijah Crawford and Zeph Everett Crawford.
Buddie is preceded in death by his parents: Zeph and Edna Mae Robnett; brother: Billie Robnett; and great nephew: Charles Jacobs.

Texas Ave., Odessa, Texas Monday July 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Johnny Thomason. Larry Ray Moody, 62, of Odessa, passed away after a short illness on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Hospice House in Odessa. He was born in Odessa on March 30, 1950 to J M and Velma Moody. Larry met and married the love of his life, Janet Lee Atkins, on November 3, 1972. They enjoyed almost 40 years of marriage together.
Larry was enthusiastic about life. Besides being a self employed carpenter who traded exclusively with McCoys Building Supply, Larry loved camping, fishing and was definitely a FORD man! He enjoyed collecting the game, War Hammer. He loved all animals, but the greatest love in his life was his wife and children. Larry loved his family very much, and he will be sorely missed by them all.

Flavio Tavarez Estrada, age 87, of Odessa, passed from this life on
Sunday, July 1, 2012, at
Deerings Nursing Home. He
was born in Redford, Texas on December 22, 1924 to the late Amador and
Seferina (Tavarez) Estrada.
He married Josefina Montoya in Redford on July 10, 1972.
They were close to celebrating their 40th

He raised cattle and grew hay, melons, chilies, tomatoes and
other vegetables. He was
an animal lover and greatly enjoyed working around cattle and horses.

Sixto Terrazas, age 56, of Odessa, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on December 22, 1955. He was an oilfield hand.
He was the son of Simona (Carrasco) Terrazas of Presidio and the late Trineda Terrazas. He is also survived by his wife: Maria Ramona Terrazas of Odessa; daughter: Erica Terrazas of Odessa; two sons: Jose Terrazas and Alejandro Terrazas, both of Odessa; two sisters: Socorro Terraza of Presidio and Salome Munoz of Midland; brother: Hugo Terrazas of Presidio; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at a later date in Ojinaga, Mexico. Interment will be at El Ultimo Refugio Cementerio in Ojinaga, Mexico. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa and Funeraria de Valle in Ojinaga.

Sheila Ann (Oglesby) Pate, age 54, of Goldsmith, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. She was born in Littlefield, TX on January 11, 1958 to Elizabeth Ann (Wall) Robertson and the late Earnest Monroe Oglesby. She worked as a cook and dishwasher at Vickie’s Mini Mart.
Sheila was a fun loving person who loved life and could be a real firecracker. She had a strong sense of right and wrong and was a hard worker. Although independent and stubborn, she had a big heart and had a deep love for her family. Her pets, Bear and Kit, were her babies.

Ernestine (Freels) Adams, also known as “Granny”, age 85, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at La Estancia Nursing and Rehabilitation in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born in Sunbright, Tennessee on January 7, 1927 to Ernest and Enon (Donahue) Freels.
Ernestine was a retired LVN, who firmly believed in the promise of Romans 8:28. She was a very unique individual, an original. She passed from this life into her eternal one on Independence Day, leaving them with laughter. “That’s my mom – going out with a bang!”
