Robert Lee Brown, 43, passed away on February 26, 2013 at his residence in Odessa. He was born on April 17, 1969 to the late James Farmer Brown and Elosia Vallejo Brown in Van Horn. He owned his own business, R & R Tire, in Odessa.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Nina (Rainwater) Brown of Odessa; his mother-in law: Sue Schaaf of Midland; son: Robert Dwite Schaaf of Odessa; daughters: Danielle Renee Rainwater of Odessa and Brittany Paige Brown of Oklahoma; brothers: Larry James Brown and Bill Ray Brown both of Van Horn; sisters: Debbie Brown Armijo and Sandra Brown both of Odessa; three grandchildren: Mika Schmaltz, Kajin Schmaltz both of Odessa and Nathan Xavior Brown of Van Horn.
He was preceded in the death by his parents and his son: Robert Joel Brown.

|Guadalupe “Lupe” Villa|
Guadalupe “Lupe” Villa, 65, of Odessa passed away on February 26, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. She was born on September 26, 1947 in Big Spring, TX to Ycidro Villareal and Jovita Olague Villareal. She married Julian H. Villa, Sr. on February 11, 1966 in Big Spring. She was a homemaker.
Lupe’s pastime was shopping at Wal-Mart but her favorite shopping center was Target. She enjoyed smoking her Marlboro Lights soft pack, knitting and singing. Lupe was a strong woman who was straight forward and quick to let you know she was ALWAYS right. She would light up a room when she walked in and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Lupe will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband: Julian Villa, Sr. of Odessa; sons: David Joe Villareal of Big Spring, Julian H. Villa, Jr. and wife Yadira, Antonio “Tony” V. Villa and wife Gloria, and Carlos M. Villa and wife Vanessa, all of Odessa; daughters: Josephine Melendez and husband Raul, and Caroline Chavez and husband Tomas; twenty-one grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Irene Villa; two brothers: Ycidro Villareal, Jr., and Roberto (Bobby) Villareal.
Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Acres West 24 Hr. Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Monday, March 4, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Frank Chavez officiating. Pallbearers will be Carlos Villa, Julian Villa III, Alejandro Villa, Oscar Chavez, Raul Melendez, Jr. and Antonio Villa, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Chavez, David Joe Villareal, Saul Melendez, and Tomas Chavez, Jr. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens of Ector County Cemetery. Linda Joyce Mangus Scott, age 63, of Odessa, passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Midland on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. She was born in Seiling, OK on September 3, 1949 to Claude and Edna (Jenkins) Mangus. Linda graduated Valedictorian from Ector High School and went on to a career as an administrative assistant for the Ector County Adult Probation offices, retiring in 2007.
Linda was a dedicated woman who believed in hard work. She was a good cook and enjoyed gardening – although despite all of her efforts, she never developed a green thumb. She was a generous and loving person whose grandchildren meant the world to her.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her son: Christopher Scott and wife Desiree of Odessa; daughter: Dianna Scott of Mobile, AL; brother: Kenneth Mangus and wife Lisa of Odessa; sisters: Christine Brokaw and husband Ed and Barbara Cates, all of Odessa and Mallori Hayden and husband Darin of Hales Corner, WI; and four grandchildren: Brittany Scott of Lubbock, Eevie Scott and Drake Scott, both of Odessa, and Christian Scott of Camp Eagle, Rocksprings, TX.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Carol Ann Scott.

Oscar Montes, Jr. age 40 of San Antonio, passed
away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital in
Odessa. He was born in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico on December
7, 1972 to Oscar Montes Sr. and Socorro Rodriguez Montes.
He was a truck driver and driver supervisor as well as a
volunteer fireman for Fabens, TX.
Oscar was a sociable person with many friends
who liked to go out, dance, and listen to Mexican music.
He had a very positive attitude and was always willing to
lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
He is survived by his parents:

Cruz Rodriguez of San Antonio; and three brothers:
Aldo Montes and wife Claribell of San Antonio and Ernesto

Barbara Marie Miles, age 67, of Marfa, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. She was born in North Philadelphia, PA on January 23, 1946 to George and Mary Katherine (Cockrell) Green. Barbara married John Klusek in East Hampton, Connecticut on June 4, 1989. She was a homemaker.
Barbara is survived by her husband, two sons, two grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were privately held at Friday, March 01, 2013 at Merced Cemetery in Marfa, TX.
|Jesus Jose “CheChe” Levario|
Jesus Jose “CheChe” Levario, age 78, of Odessa passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born February 14, 1935 to Damaso Levario and Martina Torres Levario in Cuchillo Parado, Chihuahua, Mexico.
“CheChe” was a big story teller who loved to joke around with those he loved and to play pranks on them as well. He was a loving, kind hearted, gentle man who enjoyed going to the CAF Airshow to look at all the planes, and partake in the festivities. CheChe raised cattle as a living and spent his life dedicated to the ranchers’ way of life.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 55 years: Pilar (Padilla) Levario of Odessa; three sons: Jesus Jose “Pepe” Levario Jr., Hervey Levario, and Hector Levario, all of Odessa; three daughters: Lety Levario of Cuchillo Parado, Chihuahua Mexico, and Lorena Marquez and Roxanna Cervantes, both of Odessa; two brothers: Horacio Levario and Manuel Levario, both of Odessa; one sister: Soledad Navarette of Los Angeles, CA, twenty-four grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
CheChe was preceded in death by two brothers: Celerino and Domingo Levario, and four sisters: Amelia Romero, Matilde Morales, Basiliza Ramon and Gracia Levario.
Rosary will be 7:00 pm Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 pm Monday, March 4, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Mamatehan Joseph officiating. Timoteo Jaime "Chapo" Garcia, age 99, of Balmorhea, passed away on Saturday, March 02, 2013 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, TX. He was born in Balmorhea on February 14, 1914 to Seferino and Maria (Jaime) Garcia. He was a lifetime farmer and rancher, but also worked for the Texas State Highway Department and drove a truck. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Balmorhea.
Chapo is survived by his children; nine sons: Tommy Garcia and Joe Garcia, both of Balmorhea, Timothy Garcia of Ft. Worth, Frankie Garcia of Monahans, Raymond Garcia of Odessa, Armando Garcia of Saragosa, Steven Garcia of Odessa, Robert Garcia of Midland, and Billy Garcia of Odessa; and four daughters: Mary Baeza of Odessa, Monse “Cindy” Lara of Ft. Davis, Beatrice Armendariz of Odessa, and Margie Garcia of Marfa; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
His parents, wife: Cinderella (Millan) Garcia; and three sons: Armando, Martin, and Andy Garcia, preceded him in death.
Rosary will be said at Christ the King Catholic Church in Balmorhea on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Christ the King Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 11:00 am, officiated by Father Fabian Marquez. Interment will follow at Balmorhea Cemetery. Aaron Salazar, age 17, of Odessa, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 after a tragic accident in Odessa. He was born in Denver City, TX on December 15, 1995, the only son of Efren Salazar and Anna Esquivel. He was a tenth grade student at OHS.
He is survived by his mother: Anna Esquivel of San Angelo; father: Efren Salazar of Odessa; maternal grandparents: Isidoro and Natividad Esquivel of San Angelo; paternal grandmother: Angelina Salazar of Denver City, TX; brother: Victor Esquivel of Midland; three sisters: Lyliana Salazar of San Angelo and Cynthia Aguilar and Natalie Salazar, both of Midland; niece: Veronica Portillo; nephew: Xavier Portillo; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. |William Joe “Jody” Truelock|
William Joe “Jody” Truelock was born in Hobbs, NM on August 31, 1940. He passed away March 2, 2013 after a long fight with heart disease. Jody made his home in Paducah, TX with his wife Mary Ann.
He was preceded in death by his father: O.L. Truelock; mother: Flossie Truelock; brother: James Truelock; and sister: Oree Truelock.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Truelock; three sons: Rex Truelock of Albuquerque, NM, Shane Truelock and wife Misty of Paducah, TX and Rick Truelock and wife Lee of Campbell, TX; two daughters: Janice Schmaltz of Gallup, NM and Dianne Burris of Enid, OK; one sister: Jean Mayberry of Odessa, TX; brother: Cecil Truelock and wife Judy of Childress, TX; four grandsons; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Viewing in Odessa will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel from 6:00 pm Sunday evening, March 3, 2013 until 1:00 pm Tuesday afternoon, March 5, 2013. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Viewing in Paducah will be at First Baptist Church on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday morning from 8:30 until the funeral service. Funeral services will be at First Baptist Church of Paducah on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00 am, officiated by Pastor David Williams. Interment will follow at Paducah Cemetery. Amalia Martinez, age 60, of Odessa, passed from this life on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 15, 1952 to the late Guadalupe Martinez and Socorro (Tarin) Martinez. She was a homemaker.
Amalia loved to cook and was always concerned about seeing to it that everyone had their fill. (There was nothing like Mom’s cooking!) She was a very caring and giving person who never asked for anything in return. Amalia would give away her last dollar if someone else needed it. She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting gamerooms. Amalia’s children and grandchildren were #1 to her and her grandchildren had a very special place in her heart.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory four sons: Saul Padilla and wife Elsa, Jose Padilla, Luis Angel Burrola and wife Maria, and Luis Burrola Jr. and wife Maritza, all of Odessa; daughters: Melecia Burrola and husband Gino Flores and Elizabeth Padilla Franco and husband Hugo Franco, all of Odessa; numerous brothers and sisters; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, one daughter: Veronica Padilla, precedes Amalia to her Heavenly Home.
