Isaias Rodriguez, age 73, of Artesia, NM passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 14, 1940 to the late Alfonso and Mary (Salizar) Rodriguez. He was a cowboy and had worked ranch work for over 50 years. Isaias married Gloria Ramirez in Mexico in 1961 and they raised five children.
A cowboy at heart, Isaias loved horses. Even at his weakest, he had to know how his horses were doing. He was a family man who enjoyed cooking outside, listening to music, and being with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Gloria Rodriguez of Artesia, NM; sons: Efren Rodriguez and wife Ludi of Odessa and Ebert Rodriguez and wife Criselda of Artesia; daughters: Alma Rodriguez of Dallas, TX, Maribel Dominguez of Roswell, NM, and Daisy Rodriguez and husband Arcadio Bustamantes of Virginia; brothers: Joel Rodriguez and wife Estelle of Denver, CO, Eliasar Rodriguez and wife Micala of Andrews, TX, and Saragosa Rodriguez and wife Margarita of Presidio, TX; sisters: Alda Rodriguez and husband Santos Gomez of Mexico, Ludivina Rodriguez of Mexico, Sara Rodriguez and husband Chono of Midland, TX, Esperanza Rodriguez of Lovington, NM, and Belzua Rodriguez and husband Pascaceo of Lovington, NM; thirteen grandchildren: Adrian, Delilah, and Becky Jimenez, Bianca and Nathan Bustamantes, Noel, Alan, and Emily Dominguez, and Crystal Carina, Edward, Eric, Gracie, and Evan Rodriguez.
Isaias was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters: Ofelia Rodriguez, Josefa Rodriguez, and Tabita Rodriguez.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am at Acres West
24 Hour Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd. Odessa, TX on Tuesday,
October 1, 2013.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Pecos, TX.

Bryan Eugene Young, 29, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born in Odessa on April 16, 1984 to Lynn Young and Debbie Johnson. Bryan worked as a welder in the oilfield.
Bryan was a fun, bubbly and full of energy kind of guy. Just like a big teddy bear, he always wanted to be held and loved. He was a momma’s boy. If anyone ever needed anything he would supply it - no questions asked. Bryan loved to cook and eat, his momma’s potato salad being his favorite dish. His favorite football team was the Green Bay Packers. But above all Bryan was an excellent father, husband, uncle and brother and will be missed by many.

Ray Carroll Smitherman, passed away on Saturday October 5, 2013 in Midland, Texas. He was born in McRoberts, Kentucky on March 6, 1932 to Dora Day and Charlie Smitherman. Ray worked for the Railroad Commission for over 20 years. He was a US Army Veteran.

Leaving us at age 26, he left behind his wife, Krista, and four beautiful daughters, Taylor, age 8, Brylee, age 5, Zoey, age 2, and Kayleigh, age 1. An awesome dad who always did anything for his children, his life revolved around them, spending every hour and second showing them all his love. He touched many lives the short time he was here. He is now gone, but his memories left behind will never be forgotten. God was ready to bring his sweet angel home, but the times spent with Brandon will always hold a special place in our hearts. His time was temporary, but the remembrance of him will never fade. His life here was a blessing, his memories a treasure. You are loved beyond words.

Darcy Karl Conley, Sr., age 40, of Midland, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Urbana, NY on February 26, 1973 to David Conley and Donna (Hoad) Conley. He worked as an auto mechanic until disability prevented him from working. He was also a US Army Veteran.
When he was happy, Darcy always made funny faces and funny noises to express his emotions. He kept his kids entertained in the car by playing travel games like trying to get them to figure out what kind of car was coming based on just how the headlights looked or asking them to identify to singer of the song playing on the radio. Darcy was an avid hunter, who loved horses and old cars and his motorcycles. His favorite saying was, “You think your shit don’t stink.”

Colby Dalton Baker, 18, of Odessa passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013, at his residence in Odessa. He was born in Odessa on November 22, 1994 to Ricky and Misty Baker. Colby was a recent graduate from Zion Christian Academy.
Colby was a very caring and loving person, who would give with no expectation of anything in return. He was an exceptional artist, who loved to draw and listened to music all of the time. He loved spending time with his niece, nephew, and cousins.

Our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend has been welcomed into the open arms of Jesus. Donald Walter Shellenberger, age 77, of Odessa, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Deerings Nursing and Rehabilitation in Odessa. He was born on April 15, 1936 to the late W.J. Shellenberger and Sarah (Courtney) Shellenberger in Cisco, TX, the third of seven children. He married Nora Louise Tiemann on August 17, 1958 in Ft. Stockton, TX.
Don worked a variety of positions in the plumbing and air conditioning business. Raised in Ft. Stockton, TX, he developed a strong work ethic from his father. He loved his family and friends.
Even though he was a big man in stature, personality, intelligence, and strength, he was a gentle giant. Don, in his low, deep, voice, loved to tell stories. His smile and laugh brightened the room.
He is survived by his wife: Nora Shellenberger of Odessa; daughter: Sarah Shellenberger and her fiancé Jeff of Odessa; brothers and sisters: Betty Stark of Grand Prairie, TX, Bill Shellenberger (Lois) of Cameron, TX, Martha Ford of Newton, TX, Frances Tabor (Glen) of Andrews, TX, Al Shellenberger (Marcie) of Midland, TX, Glenda Taylor (Jeffrey) of Levelland, TX; and brother-in-law: Carl Tiemann (Gladys) of Redwater, TX. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and many cousins, as well as his four legged grandchildren: Liberty Belle, Precious, Sadie, and Maggie.
He was preceded in death by his parents: W.J. and Sarah Shellenberger, and his in-laws: Charles and Faye Tiemann.

Donald Ray Tuck, age 62, of Odessa, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Martin County Hospital in Stanton, TX. He was born in Odessa on July 20, 1951 to the late Hobart Albert Tuck and Dorothy Louise (Thomas) Tuck. Donald married Julia Morris in Odessa on November 8, 1971. He was a proud product of the West Texas oilfield; spending 22 years at LG Pump Inc. as a truck driver.
Donnie was very intelligent and an accomplished story teller. He had a story for every situation. He enjoyed exercising his mind watching Jeopardy and playing cards, such as Crazy Rummy, Texas Hold ‘em and especially Rook with his friends and family. He liked to go to the Black Gold Casino and Donnie loved watching his Dallas Cowboys. He spent countless hours wrestling with his feisty basset hound, Stretch. He was a wonderful husband, grandpa and father, and a damn good friend. Donald was “Oompa” to his grandbabies.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife of 42 years: Julia Tuck of Odessa; sons: Nathan Tuck and wife Monica and Zach Tuck, all of Odessa; daughter: Beth Easter and husband Steve of Seminole; brother: Tommy Tuck and wife Liz of Oracle, AZ; sisters: Gail Wolfe of Lewisville and Mary Swanson of Seminole; four grandchildren: Brandon, Jonah, Elijah, and Andres;; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He is to be reunited with his twin brother, Ronnie Tuck, who preceded him in death in 2001, and his beloved Mamaw and Papaw.

Isaac “Chucky” Montoya, age 42, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Odessa on Saturday, January 16, 1971 to Mike L. Montoya and Abby Segovia Montoya. He was a backhoe operator in oilfield construction for over 15 years.
Isaac was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and anything country. He liked to BBQ with his family and work in his yard. He never stopped moving. Chucky was a fan of Norteño music and the Texas Longhorns. He was very fond of his pets.
