Jonathon Isaiah Peacock

Haltom City - Jonathon Isaiah Peacock, 32, died Friday, October 18th in Odessa, Texas.

Services: 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 26th at Bethesda Community Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Celebration: 3:00 pm at Gator’s Jam Inn II 817-222-9500.

He was born September 14, 1981 in Euless, Texas.  His passion was golf and music. He was preceded in death by his father John Earl Peacock, grandfather Raymond Kelley and aunt Myrtle Peacock. 

Survivors: He is survived by his parents, Herb and Rita Williams of Haltom City, Betty Cleere PeacockBetty Cleere Peacock of Odessa; Grandmother, Woody Broyles; Siblings, Dana Coffman of Haltom City, Deanna Reneé Peacock of Haltom City, Carita New of Odessa, Carl Cleere of Odessa, Amanda Idol of LaPorte and George Williams of California. Aunt, Paula Cantrell of Joshua and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Denise Morton
Denise Morton
Denise Morton, age 50, of McCamey passed away on October 18, 2013 in Odessa. She was born to John William Morton and Martha Mae Childress on September 28, 1963 in Midland. Denise drove a belly dump truck in the oilfield.

She was a very happy person who loved riding Harleys and was well liked by all. A force to be reckoned with, Denise was high spirited and lived life her way. She loved to BBQ and have a good time.

Those left to cherish her memories are father: John William Morton of San Angelo, one son: Dalton Robertson of McCamey, one daughter: Martha "Autumn" Hoskins of Odessa, two sisters: Brenda Morton and Cecilia Canada both of the Dallas Area, one grandchild: Zoey Gedney of Odessa and Dalton’s best friends - Denise’s "other” sons: Byron Gryder and Phillip Tinner.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd, Odessa, Texas.

Clyde Alvin Howard

Clyde Alvin Howard, age 81, of Odessa, passed from this life on Sunday, October 20, 2013 in Odessa.  He was born in Trent, TX on June 24, 1932 to the late Clarence and Armenta (Wheeler) Howard.  He married Doris Sullivan in Odessa in 1951.  He was a US Air Force veteran.

Clyde was a Christian man who loved God and Country.  He served in the Korean Conflict at Boling AFB and attended FBI school in Washington, DC.  When he moved to Odessa, he served our community as a police officer for over 20 years.  He also worked in the oilfield over the years.  He enjoyed guns and participated in pistol matches, even after his retirement.  He was an avid member of the NRA.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Doris Howard of Odessa; son:  David Allen Howard of Kingsland, TX; two sisters:  Ann Rose of Albuquerque, NM and Ethel Barnett of Ft. Stockton; grandson:  Jack Howard and wife Kelly of Lexington, TX; four great-grandchildren:  Wesley Howard, Aubrey Spivey, Wyatt Howard, and Rio Howard; step-granddaughter:  Jessica Magallanez and husband Daniel of Midland – they and all of Jessica’s friends lovingly referred to Clyde as “Paw Paw”; and his beloved German Shepherd:  Bear. 

He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends, and Bear.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son:  Terry Lee Howard, and two sisters:  Dorothy Hendrick and Ruth McCoy.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd. Odessa.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Maria Refugio Ochoa Ramos

Maria Refugio Ochoa Ramos, 66, of Ojinaga, Mexico, went to be with her Lord on October 20, 2013 following a fatal car accident in Ojinaga. Maria was born to Rafael and Petra Garcia Soto in La Pinta, Chihuahua, Mexico on December 31, 1943.

Maria loved to dance and sing Hispanic music. She was very loving and affectionate, friendly to all who knew her in Ojinaga and Presidio. Maria rarely had a frown on her face she was always happy. She called Luz Maria “Her Muniquita”. Maria always wrote letters the old fashioned way “handwritten” and always included a Bible verse. She always read and taught the Bible to her family. She always looked nice and loved to pose and taking pictures.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband: Baldo Ramos of Ojinaga Mexico, Daughter: Luz Maria Valencia and husband Edward of Odessa, sisters: Vickie and Rafaela of Chihuahua Mexico; Four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by parents: Rafael and Petra Soto and her first husband: Federico Ochoa, sister: Maria Soto, brothers: Ramon Soto and Francisco Soto.

Funeral Services are on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Humberto Porras. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Garden of Ector County Cemetery, Odessa Texas.

Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University, Odessa, Texas.

Baudilio Ramirez "Bo" Jr.

Baudilio Ramirez Jr., age 28, went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2013 in Odessa.  Baudilio was born to Baudilio Ramirez Sr. and Elizabeth Webster Ramirez in Odessa on September 2, 1985. He was employed as a monitor technician at Medical Center Hospital.

An outgoing, funny man, Bo loved his kids with all his heart. He was a dedicated worker and enjoyed golfing on his downtime. Baudilio liked to have cookouts and family gatherings and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife: Yesenia (Porras) Ramirez of Odessa, son: Michael Angel Ramirez of Odessa; daughter: Angelina Lee Ramirez of Odessa; parents: Baudilio Ramirez Sr. and Elizabeth Ramirez of Odessa; brother: Michael John Ramirez of Odessa; and his sisters: Selina Martinez and Eva Ramirez, both of Odessa.

Prayer services will be held Monday, October 28, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel.   Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Acres West Funeral 24 Hour Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Braswell.  Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Section of Ector County Cemetery in Odessa. Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Raul Garcia Hermosillo

Raul Garcia Hermosillo, age 83, of Odessa, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013 at his residence.  He was born in San Pedro, Coyame, Mexico on July 15, 1930.  He worked in farming and ranching.

He is survived by his daughter:  Lorenz Nieto of Odessa, son:  Emilio Garcia of Ojinaga, MX; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel.  Funeral services will be in La Paz, Mexico at a later date.  Interment will follow at the La Paz Cemetery in La Paz, Coyame, Chihuahua, Mexico.  Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa.

Gary Dan Collins

Gary Dan Collins, age 58, of Odessa, passed from this life on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital.  He entered this life on Saturday, August 20, 1955 in Iraan, TX, born to the late Jonn Euan Collins and Lujuanda Charlene (Ballard) Collins.  Gary married Donna Eudy in 2001.  He worked in the oilfield in wireline and drilling.  He was a Christian man and attended the Odessa Christian Faith Center.

A caring and compassionate man with a huge heart, Gary had many friends.  He loved animals and had numerous cats and a chiweenie named “Dusty.”  A quiet person and always a gentleman, he could be something of a ladies’ man. 

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife:  Donna Eudy of Odessa; two sons:  Brandon Collins and Vance Collins, both of Oklahoma City, OK; two daughters:  Kristi Collins of Sabinal, TX and Shawna Collins of Oklahoma City, OK; brother:  Tony D. Collins of Odessa; four sisters:  Sherry Nicks of Mathis, TX and Linda Voyles, Brenda Martin, and Sandra Thompson, all of Odessa; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, his son:  Jeremy Collins, preceded him in death in 1995.

The family will receive friends at Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd. Odessa on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  Graveside services will be at West Texas Memorial Park, 4100 N. FM 1788, Midland County on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm, officiated by Chaplain Larry Hood.  Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Ronald Eugene Dobbins

Ronald Eugene Dobbins, 57, of Odessa, passed away at his residence in Odessa on Monday, October 28, 2013. Ronald was born to the late Albert Cleo Dobbins and Lois (Babcock) Dobbins in Durango, Colorado on February 4, 1956. Ronald worked in the oilfield.

He is survived by his mother: Lois Dobbins of Odessa, son: Brad Dobbins of Odessa, brothers: Myrton Woolen and Roy Dobbins both of Odessa, sisters: Roseanne Smith of Tucson AZ, Sherry Dobbins of Boulder, CO, and Allyn Dobbins of Lamesa, TX, one grandchild and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

M Wood
Martha Lee Wood

Martha Lee Wood, age 84, of Monahans, passed from this life on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her home.  She was born in Abilene on July 28, 1929 to Jesse “Chick” Wise and Martha (Copeland) Wise.  Martha married Claudie Leo Wood in Abilene in 1946.  Her home church was Broadview Baptist Church of Abilene.

Martha was an outgoing woman who never met a stranger.  She worked in the bar and restaurant business.  Martha would bend over backward to help others and had helped everyone in her family in some way in the past, but waited for all to leave her side before she joined her Lord.  She lived her life her way, but loved her family with all of her heart. Her children grandchildren and great-grandchildren were much loved, and her great-great grandchildren, her “Little Whipper Snappers”, were the light of her life.  In the days before her passing, she just kept reminding her family, “It will all be OK.”

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her sons:  Bruce Wood of Monahans and Preston Wood of Odessa; daughter:  Claudia Gunter of Monahans; brother:  Jasper “Buddy” Wise of Abilene; three sisters:  Kathryn LaVerne “Kay” Schmidt of Orlando, FL, Barbara Allen of Potosi, and Ester Mae Wise of Abilene; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death April 8, 1990.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, son:  Tommy Gene Wood; brother:  John Wesley Wise; and two sisters:  Helen Gore and Ruby Caffee.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd. Odessa, TX, officiated by Chaplain Larry Hood.  Interment will be 3:00 pm Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Hawley Cemetery in Hawley, Texas.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Billy Joe “Jody” Webb

Billy Joe “Jody” Webb, 80, went to be with our Lord on Monday October 28, 2013 In San Angelo, Texas. Billy was born on December 28, 1932 to Roy Oliver Webb and Zelma Maxine (Hodges) Webb in Buford, Texas. Jody was a retired plant operator at Phillips Petroleum in Crane.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son: R. David Webb of Lancaster, CA, niece: Wyvonne and husband J.K. Smith of Sterling City, TX, nephew:  Larry Don “L.D.” Webb of San Antonio, TX, uncle:  Johnny Lee Hodges of Fredericksburg, TX, and aunts:  Willie Mary Hodges of De Leon, TX and Lorene McCulley of Eastland, TX; and great-nephew:  J.W. Smith and wife April of Grape Creek, TX.

Jody was preceded in death by his parents:  Zelma and Roy Webb, wife:  Grace Geneva (Hembree) Webb, son:  Ralph Allen Webb, and his brother:  Glen Walter Webb.
