Kyle (Keith) Clint Stone, age 19, of Goldsmith, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in Odessa. He was born in Odessa on February 24, 1994 to Roger and Kelli Bigham Stone. He was a 2012 Permian High School graduate and a member of First Baptist Church.
Clint was a "badass"! He LOVED music!! As a very gifted and talented musician, he was first chair French Horn in the band for Permian. He was in a Texas Country band with his buddies, needless to say guitar was his favorite instrument. Growing up, through his freshman year, he played football and baseball. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, helping out on the ranch and C.O.D. Black Opps 2 can't be left out.

June Rogers, age 85, of Odessa, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born in Water Creek Township, Hempstead County, Arkansas on June 5, 1928 to the late James Dalco Hays and Nora May (Brosius) Hays. She married Herschel Rogers in Hope, Arkansas on December 24, 1947.
Herschel and June moved to Denver City, TX in 1948, living there until they moved to Jal, NM in 1957. During this time, they raised three children. They ended up in Gardendale in 1972. A mom through and through, her favorite saying was “Stop that, right now!” June loved cooking and canning, with strawberry preserves and homemade ice cream being some of her specialties. Christmas just wasn’t Christmas without her coconut balls and a favorite family tradition was Sunday dinner at her house. June enjoyed watching the hummingbirds at the feeder in her yard, as well as watering her yard and caring for her pecan trees. Pecans were a new enchantment within these last five years, and she would make all sorts of pecan sweets. Her great-granddaughters, Jordan, Carley, and Baylie, had all come out recently for quality time and she had delighted in giving them cooking lessons, teaching them to make chicken and rice soup and other treats. Another much loved family tradition were the big birthday parties at Teresa’s house.
Those left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are her son: Jeff Rogers and wife Connie of Gardendale; two daughters: Jan Holamon and husband Dave and Teresa Ferguson and husband John, all of Gardendale; five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death June 30, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, three brothers: Lee, Henry, and Bill Rogers; and her sister: Bernice Bain.
No services will be held at this time.

Selena Saiz, 18, was called to heaven on Friday, November 15, 2013 in Odessa. Selena was born in Grants, New Mexico on August 1, 1995.
Selena loved her dog Romo. She loved to play with her little sister Daniella. Selena took care of everybody and was a caregiver for the family. She loved trees and the outdoors. Selena loved watching movies. Selena loved to read. She was a very vibrant and charismatic girl. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Irineo Ramirez, 87, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 16, 2013, in Odessa. Irineo was born to Amado Ramirez and Juana Ramirez in Ojinaga Mexico. Irenio was a devoted Catholic. He was long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He married Ramona Lujan in October 1947.
Irineo was very happy and worked hard. He never had any worries and was always calm. Irineo had the most beautiful outstanding blue eyes. He loved his beer and always said he "wasn’t a drinker just being sociable”. Irineo always wore his hat crooked. He was a cotton farmer and grew his own fruit. Irineo loved to eat fruit every morning. His favorite was watermelon.
Those left to cherish his wonderful memories are his wife: Ramona Ramirez of Odessa, sons: Saul L. Ramirez and Cosme Ramirez both of Odessa, and Heriberto Ramirez of Chihuahua, MX; daughters: Maria Ramirez and Silvia Ramirez, both of Odessa, Elia Ramirez of Fort Stockton, and Aracely Ramirez of Ojinaga, MX; brothers: Cirilio Ramirez of Carlsbad, NM and Florentino Ramirez of Odessa; sister: Adela Lujan of Seminole; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Ruben Ramos Martinez, age 48, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 in Odessa. He was born in Ojinaga, Mexico on June 28, 1965 to Ramon and Anna Maria Marquez. After his parents passed away, he was raised by his adoptive parents: Victor and Juliana Martinez. He was a brick layer.
Ruben was a work-a-holic, but a very loving father, who spoiled his kids rotten. He was kind and caring. His favorite saying was, “Gimme a beer.”
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: Juliana and Victor Martinez; son: Abraham Martinez; daughter: Brenda Martinez; five brothers: Maurilio “Will” Martinez and wife Carmen, Juan Marquez, Concepcion Marquez, Martin Marquez, and Jaime Marquez and wife Minerva; three sisters: Francisca Tarango and husband Jose, Maria Marquez, and Cristina Ramirez and husband Jesus, all of Odessa.
In addition to his biological parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Alfredo Marquez.

Emma Perez Torres, age 85, of Odessa, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at her home. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on November 17, 1928 to the late Pedro and Soledad (Ramirez) Perez. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Apostolic Assembly of Odessa.
Emma married Eliseo Torres in Torreon, Mexico on December 31, 1944. Family and God were her number one priorities, which was a perfect fit as a pastor’s wife. A labor of love, she and Eliseo built the First Apostolic Church at 5533 Mapp Street together in the mid ‘80’s. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and vegetables.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her daughters: Esther Estrada, Martha Morales and Eunice Torres, all of Odessa; sons: Ruben Torres of Odessa, Efrain Torres of Phoenix, AZ, Joel Torres of Odessa, Jose Luis Torres of Phoenix, AZ, and Ezequiel Torres of Odessa; brother: Jacob Perez of Odessa; twenty-six grandchildren and forty-four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Eliseo, brother: Isidro; and one sister: Isabel.
Visitation will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Wednesday and Thursday morning. Visitation Thursday evening will be at the First Apostolic Church, 5533 W. Mapp St. Odessa, and a Prayer service will be at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, November 22, 2013 at the First Apostolic Church, officiated by Pastor Roman Arreola. Dennis E. Head, 68, of Odessa passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Buena Vida Nursing Home in Odessa. He was born in Amarillo, Texas on September 27, 1945 to K.S. & Kathleen Head, Jr.
Dennis was an avid guitar picker. He liked to sing and pick his guitar in his down time. He loved people and was a salesman by nature. Dennis was so convincing at selling, he could sell you something you already had. In his lifetime, he was an auctioneer, ran flea markets and owned furniture stores in Lubbock and Abilene. He owned Head Furniture, Factory Outlet, Home Furniture and Frontier Furniture. Dennis will be missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son: Anthony Bryan Head of San Antonio, Texas; daughter: Lori J’nene Head of Odessa; brother: Clovis and wife Linda Head of Burnet, Texas; one grandchild.

Alfredo Gomez Gutierrez, age 47, of Odessa, passed from this life on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Cd. Jímenez, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 2, 1966 to Socorro and Petra (Gomez) Gutierrez. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Alfredo was self employed. He owned and operated Gutierrez Concrete Company for the past 25-30 years.
He married Sonia Garcia in Odessa on October 20, 2008 and they had just celebrated five years together.
