|Neda Laverne Robinson|
Neda Laverne Robinson, age 60, of Odessa, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 after a long illness. She was born in Odessa on January 31, 1953 to the late Cleatis and Bonnie (Ramey) Pate, one of four children. Neda met the love of her life in Odessa over 30 years ago. It was love at first sight and she went home to her daughter and son-in-law exclaiming, “Look what I found!” She was a homemaker and an excellent cook.
Neda was a collector, who filled the areas around her with angels, yard art, flowers, and all kinds of things that caught her fancy. She was a music lover and would turn up the volume! Although she loved to work in her yard and do her own thing, Neda enjoyed a good argument and really knew how to pick a good fight.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband: Johnny Hembree of Odessa; son: Benny Robinson of Odessa; daughter: Kathy Oliver and husband Mark of Odessa; brothers: Cleatis Bryant Pate of Buffalo, TX and Aubrey Pate of Odessa; sister: Juanita Brooks and husband Dennis of Odessa; six grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; nephew: Curtis Hayes of Odessa; niece: Jennifer Lett of Odessa; and her beloved dog and faithful companion for 14 years, Cootie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Christina Robinson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 20, 2013 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd. Odessa, officiated by Pastor Malcolm Tyree. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Kayden Lewis Gray was born and passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013 in Odessa. He was born to Abigale Gray on December 16, 2013. Our little darling will forever be in our hearts.

Alba Regalado, 67, of Odessa passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Hospice House. She was born in La Paz, Mexico on January 17, 1946 to Tomas and Lorenza Garcia. Alba was a cherished homemaker.
Alba was a fighter. She was very protective over her family, especially her sisters, kids and grandkids. She was a loving and caring Mom who heroically defied Mexican tradition to keep her eldest son, Johnny, upon entering her second marriage. Alba was a courageous, outgoing, talented, and stubborn woman when it came to family. She valued culture and taught her kids to be independent. Playing bingo at the VFW was her favorite pastime and above all, Alba had a familiar relationship with her Lord making her a pillar of strength to not only her children but her sisters as well.

Clara Molina Arredondo, age 86, of Odessa, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born in Yorktown, Texas on December 9, 1927 to the late Desiderio and Felipa (Galvan) Molina. She worked as a nurse’s aide at several different nursing homes. She married Erasmo Arredondo in Lamesa on October 25, 1943. They are members of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Clara loved the Lord and taught Catholic Classes to young children. She liked to play Bingo and was an excellent cook and seamstress. Besides raising her own children, she also had a niece and nephew who she raised from an early age. An awesome listener, after hearing you out, she was never afraid to let you know if you were in the wrong. An upbeat, positive person, Clara loved Gospel music and loved to say, “Never say you can’t, always say you can, and DO IT!”
She is survived by her husband of 70 years: Erasmo Arredondo of Odessa; daughters: Maria Elena A. Lopez (Lorenzo Sr.) of Odessa, Sylvia A. Saucedo (Rafael) of Odessa, Connie Foret of Ft. Worth, and Berlinda Lopez Licon (Jose, Jr.) of Odessa; sons: Jody Arredondo, Jr. (Sheryl) of Arizona, Ernie Arredondo (Martee) of Memphis, TN; and Sammy Arredondo of Odessa; sister: Viola Jacobo (Sammy) of Odessa; eighteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren; and sisters-in-law: Maria G. Arredondo, Estella Robles, Dora Arredondo Ramirez, and Antonia Arredondo, all of Corpus Christi, TX, and Raymunda Arredondo of Donnelton, FL.
She was preceded in death by her son: Edwardo “Bobby” Arredondo; grandson: Javier Villa; great-grandson: Christian Ray Saucedo; sisters: Julia Rodriguez, Maria de Jesus Aleman, Dominga Derikson, and Philipa Ramos; brothers: Desidero G. Molina, Jr., Sonny Molina, Lee Molina, Jimmy Molina; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Adalberto Rosales Cardenas of Odessa passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on May 31, 1943 to Francisco and Maria Cardenas. Adalberto was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Odessa and was a construction worker.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Alicia Cardenas of Odessa; sons: Adalberto Cardenas, Jr. of Juarez, Mexico, Jorge Cardenas of Odessa and Francisco Javier Cardenas of Juarez, Mexico; daughters: Maria Isela Cardenas of El Paso, Texas, Patricia Cardenas of Odessa, Christina Montez of Juarez, Mexico, Lorenza Cardenas of Juarez, Mexico and Rocio Leticia Espinosa of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brothers: Francisco Javier Cardenas, Jr. of Juarez, Mexico, Manuel Cardenas of Juarez, Mexico, Epitacio Cardenas of Juarez, Mexico and Ruben Cardenas of Odessa, Texas; sisters: Luz Cardenas, Juana Cardenas, Gloria Cardenas, Celia Cardenas and Maria Magdalena Cardenas all of Juarez, Mexico; forty grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

Ben Joseph Limchig, age 54, of Odessa, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Colonia, the capitol of Yap, Micronesia on June 11, 1959 to the late Stanley Limchig and Maria Buthungmow. He married Jovita Santos in Saipan on July 28, 1991. He worked at WalMart and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Ben enjoyed the outdoors and loved to garden, mow and landscape his yard. He greatly missed his island home. He liked to fish and watch shows about the outdoors on the Discovery Channel or the popular shows about Alaska. He was also a fan of Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal. First and foremost, Ben loved God and his family. He had a great sense of humor, and kept his family laughing.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Jovita Limchig of Odessa; sons: Michael Limchig and Christo Mugyan of Odessa, Leeroy Santos of Corpus Christi, Justin and Jacob Limchig and Peter Mingefiiy, all of Odessa, and Peter Johathan Deleon Guerrero Santos of Honolulu, HI; daughters: Lisa Edmond of Elgin, OK, Katrina Camacho of Jacksonville, FL, Colleen Epps of Corpus Christi, Angela Santos of Lawton, OK, Melinda Tamag of Yap, Micronesia, and Tanya Rubin of Deridder, LA; brothers: James Taman of Saipan and James Wogthuth of Palau; four sisters: Annie Kagay of Guam, Grace Untinag and Maria Felippin of Saipan, and Elizabeth Gaamad of Indiana; and seventeen grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, two brothers: John and James Falangrow, and three sisters: Grace Pisman, Grace Oyaol, and Angie Gootin, preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 5:00 pm and continue until the Sunday evening at 8:00 pm at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel. passed from this life on Sunday, December 22, 2013.
She was born in Santa Anna, TX on October 3, 1941 to the
late S. O. and Eunice (Trent) Yates.
She was a homemaker.
Linda had a heart of gold. Although she had no
children of her own, her nieces and nephews were the light of her
life. A die hard
country music lover, she could sing her heart out.

Adolph Benavides Vasquez, Sr. age 77, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Buena Vida Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Kennedy, TX on November 12, 1936 to the late Rafael and Inez (Benavides) Vasquez. He was an auto paint and body man. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Adolph loved to cook and loved his boots and cowboy hat. A simple man, who considered himself blessed by the Lord, his greatest enjoyment was in being with his family. His laughter brightened everyone’s day.
Those left to cherish his memory are three sons: Gilbert Richard Vasquez of Odessa, Quentin Vasquez and wife Lenna of Midland, and Adolph S. Francisco Javier Ortega, age 64, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on December 3, 1949 to the late Manuel and Natividad (Lujan) Ortega. He worked as an operator in the oilfield.
Francisco worked thirty years in the oilfield and was most recently employed with Mulato Well Service. A dedicated worker, while ill in his hospital bed, he told everyone he was working. Francisco was a very special person. He loved to eat and always welcomed people into his home and made sure they had plenty to eat. Although very friendly and outgoing, he could also be honery, hard headed and stubborn. His interests included playing baseball in his younger days, playing pool, and raising roosters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his companion: Rosie Mendoza of Odessa; two sons: Alonso Ortega and wife Nydia of Andrews and Francisco Jr. and wife Marlena of Odessa; two daughters: Blanca Torres of Eunice, NM and Yesenia Ortega of Odessa; five brothers: Ruben Ortega of Ojinaga, Samuel Ortega, Manuel Ortega, and Auden Ortega, all of Odessa, and Audiel Ortega of Gardendale; five sisters: Maria Ortega Galindo of Midland, Olivia Ortega Anzures, Olga Ortega Soto, Andrea Ortega Minjares, and Hortencia Ortega Valenzuela, all of Odessa; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
