Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Fairfield, OH.
He was born February 16, 1941 in Pioneer, TX to the late Roy
Allan Lane and Lola “Pearl” (Connelly) Lane.
He graduated from Amarillo
Sandy High School in 1959. He
was a US Air Force Veteran.
He is survived by his son:
Alan Lane and wife Dawn of Houston; daughter:
Sheila Kay Lane of Indian Trail, North Carolina; two
step-daughters: Christi Mitchell and Wendy Harbaugh, both of
Odessa; six grandchildren:
Gage Connor Lane, Seth Asher Lane, Jade Mackenzie Lane,
Brittany Kay Lane, Kelly Marie Carstens and Rylee Breece Kiser; and
cousin: Bobby Walker
and wife Jan of Odessa.
Family visitation will be at Acres West
on Thursday, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Friday, June
27, 2014 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.
Interment with military honors will follow at Rose Hill
Garden of Ector County Cemetery.

|Conrad Leroy Roberson|
Conrad Leroy Roberson, age 78, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Odessa Regional Medical Center. He was born in Oplin, TX November 18, 1935 to the late Carr M. and Mary Ellen (Bryson) Roberson. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Conrad began his service in 1953 and served until 1973 achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer. During his military years, he and his family's major duty stations included Honolulu, HI; Patuxent River, MD; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and Point Mugu, CA. He was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church.
Besides the United States Navy, Conrad had three other careers. Over 20 years at Merchants Fast Motor Lines Trucking Company as Operations Manager, The American Legion where he continued to serve his county for 33 years after his Naval retirement. Conrad held many positions in the organization including State Department Commander from 2001-2002 and National Executive Committeeman for Texas from 2008-2011. However, the most important career was as a Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Betty “Joyce” Roberson of Odessa; son: Joel Roberson and wife Natalie of Odessa; sister: Carlene Brooks of Clyde, TX; three granddaughters: Julia Roberson, Catelyn Roberson and Shauna Roberson; his best friend, Raymond Wildman, and other loving family plus many, many friends.
His parents, two sons: J. Roberson and Todd Lee Roberson, one sister: Betty Jane Barrington and his brother, Leonard Cortez Roberson, precede him in death.
The family will receive friends at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from noon to 3:00 pm. Memorial services with military honors will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Grace Christian Fellowship Church 3450 Billy Hext Road, Odessa, officiated by Pastor Clark Racca. Lillian Joyce Ryburn, age 86, of Odessa, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was born in Munday, Texas on August 28, 1927 to the late F. P. and Ruby Viola (Dobbs) Porch. She married Paul Ryburn in Carlsbad, NM on April 6, 1944. A longtime Odessa resident, Lillian was a self employed bookkeeper and a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Margaret Bowen and husband Bobby of Odessa; sister: Barbara Bratcher and husband Clyde of Midland; three grandchildren: Casey Ryburn and wife Renae, Paul Shaw, and Angela Shaw and husband Joseph; and six grandchildren: Alexis, Kira, Ethan, Lyla, Ryan, and Gavin. She was also a mother figure to many of her nieces and nephews including Carolyn Kittle, Beverly Norris, Sherry Henderson, Paulette Cassbonne, Vickie Lucky, Belinda, Gayla, Pam, Allen and Jeff Cantrell, and Kendra Phyllis Jones.
Mrs. Ryburn is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband: Paul Ryburn, sister: Mildred Talley, and brother: W. F. “Sonny” Porch.

John David Preston, 56, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at
his residence in Kermit, TX. He was born in Odessa, TX on June 26,
1957 to Bill Preston and Dorothy Preston.
John was a quiet person, a homebody. He loved his family,
especially his grandkids. John enjoyed cooking. A big sports fan,
his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Cubs. He

Carlos William Dailey, 17, of Odessa was called to Heaven on June 14, 2014 in Odessa. Carlos was born to Cristy Sarceda and the late Terrance Dailey in Grants, NM on June 27, 1996.
Carlos was a very quiet and respectful person. He always had a big smile. Carlos loved all sorts of electronics, especially his cell phone. He hated confrontations and never talked bad about anyone. He trusted everyone and saw everyone as his friend. He loved his family and adored his brothers. Carlos also considered his friends as family. His cousins and nephews thought he was super smart and always asked for his help with homework.

Edison Salap Gamow, infant son of Edward and Myra (Yagmar) Gamow, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Medical Center Hospital. He was a borrowed angel, here to bless our lives with his ready smile and sunny disposition for 5 months, starting his journey here with us on Sunday, January 12, 2014.
Edison is survived by his parents: Myra and Edward Gamow of Odessa, brother: Michael Gamew Gamow of Odessa, grandmother: Galla Gulee of Yap, Micronesia, and many extended family members.
He is preceded to his Heavenly home by his maternal grandfather: Michael Ragmau and paternal grandmother: Regina Tinmad.
Visitation in Odessa will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 2:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at St. Ignathius of Laola Catholic Church in Colonia on Yap Island, Micronesia, later this month with interment to follow at the church cemetery.

On June 20, 2014, Ronda passed from this life to join loved ones who have gone before her. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Alton and Clarene Pursley, grandmother: Dorothy Gattin, father: Robert Pursley, Sr. and brother: Robert “Rob” Pursley, Jr.
Ronda was born in Odessa, Texas on December 11, 1964. She grew up in Odessa and attended school there. Ronda worked for Bulldog Specialties for several years. She has several hobbies, including jewelry making, oil painting, and scrapbooking. In 2005, Ronda moved to Ohio to be with the love of her life, Ron Hartley. They traveled some. However, the last several years, Ronda was plagued with health problems.
She loved her two sons and two grandsons with all of her heart.
Survivors are her sons: Bryson Pursley and wife Mirandy of Odessa and Trever Yochum of Lubbock; grandsons: Braydon and Skylar Pursley of Odessa; mother and step-father: Glenys and Ronny Mathis of Dublin; brother: Bryan Pursley and nephew Tylor Pursley of Bonham; three aunts: Sandra Marker and husband Bob of Denton, Elizabeth “Liz” Robinson and husband Lucky of Odessa, Sharon Von Trotha and husband Larry of Hamilton, OH; uncle: Terry Crownover and wife Sandra of Garland; and numerous cousins.

Ellen E. Nuyttens, age 89, of Odessa, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Sunday, June 22, 2014. She was born in Sayre, PA on May 17, 1925 to the late Myron and Della (White) Eaton. She was an accountant and served on the board of directors for the University of Arizona.
Survivors are her son: Phillip Tichenor of Ithaca, NY; daughters: Susan Kaufman of Henderson, NV, Debra Kennedy of Odessa, and Anita Rowe of Tucson, AZ; brother: Edward Eaton of Cartland, NY; sisters: Marjorie Bowman of Ithaca, NY, Alice Greene of Charleston, WV and Nina Fritts of Marathon, NY; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her parents, brothers: Gene, Rodney, Joe, Bob, and Milton Eaton, first husband: Richard Elmer Tichenor and second husband: Jack Raymond Nuyttens, precede her in death.

Haidie Bonan Nelson, age 45, of Odessa, passed
from this life on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born in Masbate, Philippines on May 22, 1969.
She married Warren Nelson in Manila on April 4, 1986.
She was a massage therapist and CNA, who loved school and
learning. She was
hard-working and thoroughly loved her job.
Haidie enjoyed photography.
She was an outgoing, friendly person who always treated
everyone with kindness.
No one could stay mad at her for long.
Family oriented, she was a very loving wife and mother.
She was a generous and spiritual person, who went out of her
way to help others.

|Clyde B. Kitchens|
Clyde B. Kitchens, 70, was taken home to be with our Lord on
Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
He was born in Merkel, TX on September 27, 1943 to Ephron “E.C.”
and Jewel Amanda (McWilliams) Kitchens. He married the love of his
life Frankie Sue Grimes on March 7, 1963.
Clyde started as a firefighter in the United States Air Force for 4
years. In 1967, he began his service with the City of Odessa where
he started as a firefighter and later also became one of Odessa's
very first crew of paramedics. Clyde retired from the Odessa Fire
Department on September 29, 1993. He also volunteered as an Ector
County Sheriff’s Deputy for many years. Clyde was a member of
Northside Baptist Church and became an organ donor.
Clyde was a very creative individual and had extreme talent and
imagination when creating and working on his hobbies. He enjoyed
restoring classic cars and he was a model car and truck
enthusiast. He enjoyed connecting with friends on Facebook and
playing on his computer. He wanted to own his own bus, so he would
design his own models and build them from scratch to scale. His
passion for the buses earned him a spot as a charter member of a
national social group “Bus Nuts”. Music also was a big part of his
life. He had a vast collection of music and musical talent to
share. Clyde was never an idle person. He could be found on the
first Tuesday of every month at Central Firestation meeting with
his brothers and sisters of the Fire Department.
A family man, Clyde loved his children and grandchildren with all
of his heart. Those left to cherish his love and memory are his
wife: Sue Kitchens of Odessa, TX; daughters: Mechelle Lewis of
Mesquite, TX, and Robyn Holtzclaw of Odessa, TX; twin brother:
Claude D. Kitchens of Slaton, TX; and grandchildren: Lacy Wenger of
Garland, TX, Kevin Lewis of Mesquite, TX, Collin Holt of Odessa,
TX, and Madisyn Tharp of Odessa, TX; along with a host of family

Juan Leyva Tejada, 70, of Odessa was called to heaven on June 25,
2014 in Odessa. Juan was born to Lazaro Tejada and Rita Leyva on
November 29, 1943 in Ojinaga Mexico. Juan worked in the
construction business as a paver.
Juan was a workaholic. He was a good teacher to Josue. Juan always said “never give up”. He loved being outdoors and doing things. Juan was very caring towards his family. Juan was a good and loving husband, father, grandfather and will be missed and loved by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife: Rosa Leyva Tejada, three sons: Josue Tejada and wife Adrianna, Lazaro Tejada and Julio Tejada all of Odessa, brother: Chuy Tejada of Abileine, sister: Anita Tejada of Ojinaga, three precious grandchildren: Aaron, Nathalie, Jayden and one on his or her way.
