|Charles Randall Robinson|
Charles Randall Robinson, age 59, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in El Paso, TX on August 2, 1954. Charles was a US Navy Veteran. A skilled mechanic, he worked for the last 15 years for All Aboard America.
Charles loved to play around and was a big-time agitator with his family. He believed in God and was a very private, religious man. A very active man, he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and camping with his buddies – Wayland and Allen McCann. He also loved to snow ski and used to play golf, until his brother Joe quit the game. Walking his dogs was his one of his favorite pastimes, but somehow on the way back around the block, he seemed to always end up carrying Toby Joe. His most recent venture was in the “recycling engineer” business – picking up aluminum cans.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Betty Joan McCann.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers: Joe Hicks of Odessa and Ricky Hicks and wife Patty of Midland; sister: Debbie Palmer and husband John of Odessa; and nieces and nephews: Anna Yandell and husband Brian, Harry Taylor, and James Taylor, all of Odessa.
Visitation will be Friday, July 25, 2014 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, with the family receiving friends that evening from 6 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Brother Wayne Shelton. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West.

Jack Dean Switzer, age 85, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Senior Care Nursing Home of Midland. He was born in Danville, IL on March 30, 1929 to the late Charles A. Switzer and Maude Hazel (Davis) Switzer. He worked maintenance at the General Tire Plant and was a US Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Carol Hayes Switzer of Midland; and two daughters: Tracy Yates of Midland and Caryn Stoner of Odessa.
No Services will be held at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel Crematory.

Reva Alicia Hernandez, age 27, of Odessa, was unexpectedly called to heaven on July 23, 2014. She was born to Delia Blakeney on August 20, 1986 in Sonora, TX. Reva was a cosmetologist at Smart Styles in Midland.
A very happy person, you always found her smiling. Reva was willing to help anyone and everyone. She liked being around her family. A true “Redneck gal”, Reva was a good friend, sister, daughter and mom - a person who anyone loved being around.

Chester Lee Gatewood, Sr., age 73, of Gardendale, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Midland, TX on June 27, 1941. He worked as a janitor.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter: Valencia Williams-Jackson of Midland, sons: Malcolm Gatewood and Michael Gatewood, both of Gardendale, sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
His parents: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gatewood, son: Chester Lee Gatewood, Jr. and one grandson: Derome Williams, precede him in death.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 at
Acres West Funeral Chapel from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.

Rubenia Joyce Haynes, 82, went to be with our
Lord, July 25th, 2014, surrounded by loved ones. She was born In
Bowser TX, on July 21st, 1932. She was a loving sister, mother,
Nannie and friend. She was a faithful Christian who loved The Lord
and was a member of Life Change Baptist Church of Odessa. She was
an avid baseball fan, enjoyed quilting, going on "adventures" with
her sisters, "Tea and cookies," and anything involving getting
together with family and friends.
Marilu Donato, 57, was called to Heaven on Saturday, July 26, 2014 in her home in Odessa. Marilu was born to Aurelio Renteria and Catalina Rivera on June 25, 1957 in Ojinaga, Mexico. Marilu was a housekeeper for Best Western Hotels until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son: Marcos, who she missed dearly.
Marilu was the heartbeat of the family. She was a rock, a very strong, independent, beautiful, loving and adoring woman. She was a great mom, wife, and grandmother. She was a very special woman. Marilu will be greatly missed by her husband, her kids and grandkids. She loved country music.
Those left to cherish her precious memories are her husband: Enrique Donato of Odessa, her sons: Joseles Donato, Josue Donato, and Moses Donato all of Odessa, parents: Aurelio Renteria and Catalina Rivera, both of Presido, her sister: Margarita Renteria of Odessa, and five grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Humberto Porras. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery, Peaceful Gardens Section.

Michael Wayne Chandler, age 53, of Coleman died Saturday morning at Abilene Regional Medical Center. He was born December 1, 1960 in Hollandale, Mississippi, the son of the late Albert and Pearlie Hollis Chandler. He worked as a derrick hand in the oil field industry for many years and had lived in Coleman for the past 15 years.
He is survived by five daughters including Amanda McKinley and husba...nd Jayton of Coleman; 1 step-son, Allen Fitzwater of West Virginia and his companion, Dorothy Chandler of Coleman. He is also survived by several grandchildren including Lexi McKinley and Leah McKinley, three sisters: Shirley Scantliong and husband Jim Bo of Odessa, Rosie Stairs and husband Mark of Midland and JoAnn McLennon, three brothers: Bud Chandler, Waynie Chandler and Eddie Ray Hamlin all of Odessa and his very special friends: Mike and Vicky Hall of Coleman. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Rita Adams and Betty Jo Chandler, a brother, Lewis Chandler and 2 brother-in-laws, Lacy and Tommy.
Services are scheduled for 2:30 PM, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in the Allcorn Funeral Chapel with an additional service to be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held in Coleman from 6 - 7 PM, Monday at the funeral home in Coleman and from 6 - 9 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home in Odessa. His body will be cremated following the services.

Maria de Jesus Madrid, age 89, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Shafter, TX on January 15, 1925. She was a homemaker and a Christian.
She is survived by her daughter, Anna Madrid of Ojinaga, CH, MX and twelve grandchildren: Hilda Madrid, Olivia Alarcón, Nataly Alarcón, Ruben Alarcón, Daniel Alarcón, Azucena Alarcón, Gina Madrid, Aaron Madrid, Judith Madrid, and Rosa Ramos.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Romulo and Francisca (Mancha) Leyva; husband: Tomas Madrid Lujan; and her son: Jose Arturo Madrid.

Gale Gene Kerr, age 67, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 in Odessa. Gale was born May 28, 1947 in Kermit, TX. Gale graduated from Odessa High School. She was employed by Medical Center Hospital, the Odessa Police Department, and AAA Storage.
She is survived by her husband: Jimmy Kerr; and son: Jerry Tennis of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; her mother: Betty Lou Miller of Odessa; brother: Robert L. Gann of Houston, TX; sister: Pamela Denise Price of Odessa; and niece: Tosha Renee Franklin.
Gale was preceded in death by her father: Tony Miller and brother: George Dale “Buster” Gann.
Services will be privately held. Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

George Edward Poston, age 62, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at his home. He was born in McAllen, TX on March 6, 1952 to the late William Cleburne Poston and Willene (Harber) Poston. He worked in construction.
George was a free spirited man who loved music and dancing. He once moved to Austin to be a part of a hippie commune, but later left that life when his family needed him. He was an adventurer, who enjoyed camping and fishing. However, when you would expect him to be fishing or visiting with the adults, instead you would find him playing and swimming with the children. He loved animals and children. Very family oriented, his kids always came first. He was a very funny man and George loved to make people laugh. A lover of fast cars, his Shelby Cobra was special to him and when he lost it, he kept the seatbelts with him always.
He is survived by his son: Brice Poston of Arlington; daughter: Susan Harber Poston Smith and husband John of Lake Charles, LA; brother: Dan Poston and wife Nell of Longview; and two grandchildren: Christian Lennon Poston and Grayson Lee Smith.

Jose E. “Lalo” Jimenez, age 81, of Marfa, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Reeves County Hospital in Pecos. He was born in Presidio on April 21, 1933 to the late Florencio and Eleuteria (Aguilar) Jimenez. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He and his wife, Frances, owned and operated a service station, Jimenez Chevron, in Marfa. He had served as a Presidio County Commissioner and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marfa.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife of over 55 years, Frances (Prieto) Jimenez of Marfa; four sons: Jose A. Jimenez and wife Teresa of Midland, Oscar P. Jimenez and wife Edna of Alpine, Frank P. Jimenez and wife Abigail of Midland, and Florencio A. “Tony” Jimenez and wife Ruby of San Antonio; three sisters: Alicia Jimenez, Juanita Hillin, and Ernestina “Nina” Hernandez, all of Presidio; and eight grandchildren: Marco A. Jimenez of Lago Vista, Briana Jimenez of Lubbock, Elisha Jimenez and Oscar Rey Jimenez, both of Alpine, Rebecca Jimenez and Frances McKayla Jimenez, both of Midland, and Gia N. Jimenez and Michael X. Jimenez, both of San Antonio.
One sister, Elidia “Lela” Molinar, preceded him in death.
Rosary will be recited at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marfa at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon, officiated by Fr. Esteban Sescon. Burial will be at Merced Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lonny Hillin, Billy Hernandez, Oscar Rey Jimenez, Marco A. Jimenez, Javier A. Moguel and Robert Silva. Honorary pallbearers will includ: Ismael Vasquez, Rito Rivera, Mario Rivera, Felipe Cordero, Salvador Hernandez, Jose “Pepe” Portillo, Juan Dominguez, and Ramon Nuñez.

Clara Asuncion Molinar, age 60, of Odessa, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at her home, surrounded by loving family. She was born in El Paso on August 12, 1953 to Elias Molinar and the late Ysidra “Chila” (Rubio) Molinar. She married Manuel Lopez in El Paso 44 years ago. She was a bus driver for Easy Rider. She was a Christian woman of the Pentecostal faith.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her husband: Manuel Lopez of Odessa; father: Elias Molinar of El Paso; two sons: Manny Molinar and wife Lily of Odessa and Norberto Lopez of Phoenix, AZ; brothers: Francisco Molinar of Odessa, George Molinar and Juan Molinar, both of El Paso, and Martin Molinar of El Paso; one sister: Brenda Kapahua of Whittier, CA; and numerous grandchildren.
She is preceded to her Heavenly home by her mother: Chila Molinar, brother: Raymond, and two sisters: Camilia and Rosario “Chayo”.

Jaziel Navarrette-Avila, an infant, was born and passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Odessa Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Manuel Alfonzo Navarrette and Emma Yadira (Avila) Navarrette of Candelaria, TX.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his twin brother: Damian Navarrette; two older brothers: Natanael Navarrette and Emmanuel Navarrette, all of Marfa; and his grandparents: Petra Baeza Avila, Juan Avila, Jesus Berta Navarrette, and Pablo Bustamante, all of Mexico.
Graveside services will be 9:00 am Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Candelaria Cemetery in Candelaria, TX, officiated by Pastor Juan Ornelas. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
