|Millard Jerome “Mike” Kingery|
Millard Jerome “Mike” Kingery, age 55, of Odessa, died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at his home. He was born in Athens, GA on June 26, 1959 to Millard Jerome Newman and Diane Vivian (Chase) Kingery. He was a computer technician.
Mike had a photographic memory and was skilled problem solver and very intelligent man. An avid sports fan, he could give you the stats on any team – any sport. He especially enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and playing golf was his passion. Mike was also an outdoorsman who loved to fish and made the most memorable bar-b-que. He also loved animals and music of all kinds (except rap).
He is survived by his son: Patrick Kingery of Midland; mother and step-father: Dian and Harry Kingery of Collbran, CO; brother: Jim Kingery and wife Denisa of Odessa; granddaughter: Renesamy Faith of Midland; and aunts: Sharon Chase and Kathy Fields, both of Albuquerque, NM.
His father: Millard Newman and brother: Harry Burdett, preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to Hospice of Midland would be appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Charles Robert Schelper-Dunn, age 63, of Goldsmith, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born in El Paso, TX on November 1, 1951 to the late Charles Aaron Dunn and Thelma Fay (Moon) Bond. He was a construction worker and a US Navy Veteran.
Bobby enjoyed sitting at the park with his trusted companion, Budro. He would spend hours at Vickie’s store talking to all who came in. Although something of a loner, he never met a stranger and easily befriended any and all types of folks. He enjoyed attending the Cossacks Bike Rallies and parties, where the members included him as one of their own. Bobby adored his mother and they were very close. We are sure that he is at peace now and happy to have joined his mom.
He is survived by his half sister: Debra Sue Edgar of Ft. Worth, TX.

|Sidney Lynn “Sid” Thomas|
Sidney Lynn “Sid” Thomas, age 63, of Odessa, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Thursday, December 4, 2014. He was born in Paris, TX on October 4, 1951 to the late Dewey Maltamore Thomas and Mary Louise (Kelly) Thomas. He and Darlean O’Neal were married in Odessa on December 7, 1988, renewing their vows December 7, 2013. They were members of Circle J Cowboy Church and he loved to worship the Lord.
Sid worked as a pediatric respiratory therapist. He loved his job, especially working with the very young. Once he started working at Deerings, he realized he also enjoyed a special rapport with the elderly. He collected eagles and dreamed of one day going on a fishing excursion in the Ozarks. All who knew him, knew that you did not speak to him until he had his morning coffee. He could be a grumpy old fart at times, but underneath it all, you knew he loved you. Darlean was his true love, he adored her and cared for her tenderly. His grandchildren were dearly loved by him as well. Sid was well loved and will be missed by all.
Survivors are his beloved wife: Darlean Thomas of Odessa; sons: Stacey Lynn Thomas of Arlington, Evan Jones and wife Tiffany of Arlington, and William Rice of Odessa; daughters: Christina Ragsdale and husband Doug of Gardendale and Ramona LeColst and husband Raymond of Electra; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents his brother: James Dewey Thomas and sister: Lynda White, precede him in death.
Memorial services will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Circle J Cowboy Church, officiated by Brother Dave Adkins. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Patrick Ward Barney, age 61, of Odessa, passed away in Odessa as a result of a bad accident on a foggy Friday morning, December 5, 2014. He was born in Hartford, CT on May 3, 1953 to Gerald Eugene Barney and Ida Rae (Mulheron) Barney. Patrick graduated from MVUHS and worked as a diesel mechanic. He had worked for Caterpillar for four years, Alliance Machine and Specialties for 2 years, DDJ Archery for 10 years, Turbo Custom Components for 19 years and Diesel Testers for 10 years.
Patrick enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, water sports, and archery. He was a member of the Permian Basin Archery Association. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around. Riding his motorcycle was a favorite pastime and he was a member of GWRRA (Gold Wing Riders’ Association). Patrick always helped everyone he could, including donating blood whenever possible.
He is survived by his father: Gerald “Jerry” Barney of Swanton, VT; brother: Joseph Barney of Escondido, CA; sisters: Sally Krupp and husband Robert of St. Albans, VT and Kelly Heinlein and husband John of Highgate, VT; one nephew: Matthew Aucoin; and three nieces: Aubree Bovat, Ashley Bovat, and Emily Aucoin.
Patrick was preceded in death by his mother: Rae Barney and his niece: Sara Aucoin.

Vicki Lynne (Nichols) Broom, age 64, of Monahans, passed from this life on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Odessa Regional Medical Center. She was born in Crosbyton, TX on December 13, 1949 to Vera Jonell (Smith) Barton and the late Jack Dalton Nichols. She was a homemaker, a loving wife to Danny Joe Broom for 30 years and mother to two children. She was Baptist.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her husband: Danny Broom of Monahans; mother: Vera Jonell Barton of Mildand; son: Darrell Ray Smith of Monahans; daughter: Jacqlin Raylene Little of Monahans; brother: Bart H. Douglas Patrick Irwin, age 43, of Big Spring, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 due to a car accident in Andrews County, TX. He was born in Ft. Stockton, TX on March 17, 1971 to Billy Gene Irwin and Velma Correne Stidham. He worked as an oilfield mechanic for Best Services.
Doug was a feisty redneck and a hard working man who was often seen wearing a hard hat. A country boy, he loved wearing boots and cowboy hats and played guitar singing old country songs.
Doug is survived by his wife of six years: Georganna (King) Irwin of Big Spring; son: Dallas Irwin of Florida; daughter: Tonya Hunter of Odessa; brothers: Billy Gene Irwin, Jr. of Larose, LA and Bruce Irwin of Worcester, MA; and one granddaughter: Payton Hunter of Odessa.
Tragically, his son: Markus Irwin, was with Douglas in the car accident and both Doug and Markus lost their lives.
Markus Patrick Irwin was born in Odessa on July 26, 1999 to Doug and Michelle Carrisa Allen. He was a student, a sophomore at Coahoma High School.
Markus is survived by his mother: Carissa Allen and husband Richard of Terlingua; sister: Katherine Monica McLain of San Angelo; brother: Dallas William Irwin of Florida; grandmother: Mona McAuley of Terlingua; step-mom: Georganna Irwin of Big Spring; uncle: Scott Turner and wife Jennifer and their daughter Jessica, all of Ft. Davis; uncles: Billy Irwin and Bruce Irwin and Bruce’s daughter Jennifer; cousins: Scott and Leticia Walters and their children: Matthew, Dillon, Ashe, and Whitney; aunt: Alecia Deaver of Odessa and her children: Brad, Robert, Aidan, and Kerry; best friend: Patrick Orona; and many other extended family members.

For 28 years we received your love, your smiles and everything in between. You left a gap in our lives and will always be remembered with all of our love.
Fernando was kind hearted and hard working man. He never could tell you “No.” He enjoyed playing games and watching movies. His favorite restaurant was Whataburger. He loved his nieces and was always taking care of them.
Fernando is preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather: Yolanda and Marcelino Dominguez, and his sister: Coraima Gomez.
He is survived by his mother: Rosa Dominguez and husband Jesus Amaro; brothers: Victor Gabaldon, Carlo Omar Gomez and Damian Gomez; his sisters: Vanessa Gabaldon and Lysette Brito and husband Daniel; and several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews, all of Midland.

Dolores Elizabeth Krawczyk, age 78, of Odessa, died Sunday, December 7, 2014 at her home. She was born in Wauwatosa, WI on September 7, 1936. She was a retired newspaper dispatcher.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Earl and Ruth (Martin) Georg; and husband: Chester Krawczyk.
She is survived by her son: Chuck Krawczyk and wife Jackie of Odessa; two daughters: Susie Johnson and husband Mark of Apple Valley, CA and Wendy Mitchell and husband Dale of Odessa; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

John Randal “Randy” Deal, age 49, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 in Odessa. He was born at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX on June 10, 1965. He was an auto mechanic.
Survivors are two sons, two daughters, one brother, two sisters, and several grandchildren.

Ruben Galindo Tavarez, age 76, of Presidio, passed away in Odessa at Medical Center Hospital on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. He was born in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico on January 6, 1938 to the late Seferino and Francisca Galindo. He married Gloria Caballero in 1973. He was a construction worker and a Catholic.
Ruben was a musician. He played a variety of instruments; guitar, saxophone, and trumpet, and loved to dance. He was a very happy person who liked to joke around. He was a loving husband and father, who enjoyed spending time with family.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Gloria Caballero Galindo of Presidio; sons: Ruben Galindo, Jr. and wife Irene and Samuel Galindo Caballero and wife Jovita, all of Presidio; daughters: Anavelia Galindo Sanchez and husband Ildefonso and Elida Galindo and husband Antonio Leyva, all of Presidio, Arsenia Bustamante and husband Jose of Monahans, Martha Galindo and husband Santos Enriquez of Odessa, and Lourdes Galindo and husband Sergio Baeza of Presidio; brother: Antonio Galindo of Presidio; sister: Maria Concepcion Galindo of Presidio; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son: Jesus Jose Galindo.

Maria Modesto Sanchez, age 75, of Goldsmith, passed from this life on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at her home, surrounded by loving family. She was called home to be with her Lord and to return to the arms of her beloved husband, who had preceded her to their Heavenly home less than two months ago. Maria was born on July 25, 1939 to the late Rosario and Delfina (Gallegos) Modesto in Ejido Escobillas, Manuel Benavides, Mexico. She married Gaudencio in Ojinaga, Mexico on August 15, 1956 and they shared 58 years together. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
A caretaker at heart, Maria loved to cook and tend her flower garden. She enjoyed drawing. Family was everything to her.
