Willie B. Mims Jr. was born October 30, 1970 in Slaton, Texas to the parentage of Willie and Helen Mims.
At an early age, he confessed his faith in Christ and was baptized at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, in Slaton, Texas.
Willie attended and graduated from Slaton High School in 1989. While in high school he played football and basketball and ran track.
On April 23, 1994, Willie married his high school sweetheart, Tina M. Gipson at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, in Slaton, Texas. To this union four children, twins, Chasity and Willie, Destiny and Samuel were born. As a couple, they were very in love and loved spending time together as well as with their children.
Willie enjoyed spending time with family, telling jokes, listening to gospel music, coaching youth sports, debating with people and advising the youth. He never met a stranger.
Throughout the years, Willie worked in the oilfield industry with Halliburton, Windsor, SWECO Wellhead and as an Oilfield Consultant contracted by Concho.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Billy Mims, Mickey Mims and Jerrell K. Brown.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory two sons: Willie D. Mims (fiancé –Judith) and Samuel J. Mims; two daughters: Chasity I. Mims and Destiny T. Mims, both of Odessa, Texas; three brothers: Terry Mims (Linda) of Slaton, Texas, Donnie R. White (Daphne) of Houston, Texas, and Joe Wilborn (Coretta) of Lubbock, Texas; four sisters: Joann Miller and Sandra Wilborn, both of Slaton, Texas, Elaine Lawrence of Odessa, Texas, and Penny White of Pace, Florida; lifetime friends: “brothers” Vick Bryant, Jackie Johnson, Geremy Willard and Derek Burrell; three extended grandchildren: Ethan, Lillie & Zaden; and a special great- nephew: Bryce.
A wake will be held at Acres West Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, June 26, 2015. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm at Mid Cities Community Church, officiated by Pastor Christopher Redden. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Jason “with the long hair” Randall Givens, age 41, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Odessa. He was born in Henderson, Kentucky on October 1, 1973 to David Wayne Givens and Lorretta (Whitford) Moores. He was a hydraulic mechanic for Melvin Jones for many years. He had also served as a U.S. Marine.
Jason was a free spirit who loved to play video games, sing karaoke, and dance to country with all the ladies. He would always have a smile on his face and loved to give bear hugs. Jason was loved by many many people. He was an amazing son, brother and father. He had a huge family that was not just blood kin, and was a member of The Last Few Motorcycle Club. Jason will be truly missed.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother: Lorretta Moores of Odessa; sons: Daniel Wysong of Brownfield and Keegan Randall Givens of Odessa; brother: Marshall Richardson and wife Shannon of Tempe, AZ; sister: Marlena Pointer and husband David Bannon of Odessa; nephews: Alexander and Caleb of Odessa and Zachary and Salvatore of Tempe, AZ; nieces: Jessie of Odessa and Nicole and Inkara of Tempe, AZ; and great-nieces and nephew: Audrey, Angelina and Elijah.
Jason is preceded in death by his father: David Wayne Givens.

On June 18, 2015, the Lord was ready to take Johny Wane Hines to Heaven. A good hard working man; good husband and father, grandfather and friend - JW was at home with his beloved wife when this occurred.
J.W. lived and loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and working hard was his passion. He shared with all his loved ones. J.W. was very active in all aspects of his life you may say he never slowed down, but he always had the time to help any of his loved ones in need. He was always very caring and thoughtful to the needs of others. He instilled a respect unsurpassed by any means to and from his family and friends. He may be gone from our physical presence but by no means will his beautiful smile and sparkling eyes be forgotten. We will all miss him immensely.
J.W. is preceded in death by his parents: Ralph Hines and Juanita Hines, brother: Tommy Hines, and sisters: Brenda and Beverly Hines. Today heaven is having a family reunion… He will be missed by all.
Those left to cherish his wonderful and loving memories are his wife: Melissa (Missy) Smithson Hines; his sons: Johny Hines Jr. of Tyler and Kevin Hines and wife Jennifer of Deer Park; daughter: Misty Hines Thompson of Longview; daughter-in-law: Cindye Hines of Odessa; his brother: Ralph Hines of Odessa; beloved grandchildren: Destynii Hines , Brandon Wooten, Raevyn Hines, Preston Thompson, Keeli Thompson, Setrah Johnson, Roinne Johnson, Austin Hines, and Ashlynn Hines; and three great-grandchildren: Blytz Young, Zaybrii Dirickson, and Rylee Wooten.

|Aubrey Lee Allen|
Aubrey Lee Allen, age 76, of Odessa, passed away at his home on Friday, June 19, 2015. He was born in O’Donnell, TX on March 3, 1939 to the late Troy Lee Allen and Laura Elmer (Burrier) Allen. Aubrey married Mary Nell Blevins in Odessa on December 28, 1987. He was an over the road truck driver.
Aubrey was one of the greatest men to walk this earth. He was dedicated to his family – his wife, children, and animals, and to his work. Innately kind, he was gentle and loving to everyone, whether human or animal. Every road trip always ended up with him bringing home a new four legged family member rescued along the way.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Allen of Odessa; son: Wayne Allen Altis and wife Kalen of Odessa; four daughters: Angie Fairchild and Linda Rocha of Oklahoma City, OK, Sharon McCollum of Odessa, and Wanda Quiver and husband Don of Anadarko, OK; brothers: Bobby Allen of Lubbock, Kenneth Allen and wife Dolly and Tommy Allen, all of Abilene; sister: Cathy Allen of Lubbock; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Aubrey is preceded in death by his brother, Roy Allen, and sister, Joyce Baack.

|Artie Belle Lauraine|
Artie B. Lauraine was born in Uvalde, TX on January 11, 1932 to Charles V. and Helen E. (Reed) Halsell. At the age of 83, Artie passed from this life into glory on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. Artie had expressed that she was ready to go to her eternal home with Jesus, where she would be at rest and be loved for all of eternity.
Artie was a sweet woman with a gentle spirit who was never found to be rude or hateful; she never said anything ugly. Artie was known as “Mom” or Granny to everyone and those who knew her knew that she was born to be a mother. She was an easy going woman who was never anything but nice and calm. Artie was a determined and independent woman; she loved to do yard work, and when she was seventy-five, she crawled into her tree to cut some limbs off while her family yelled at her to get down. Artie married young and was blessed with five children who she loved with all of her heart. They were her world and the light of her life. After her divorce, she went on earn her GED and raise her beloved children on her own. In 1976, she married the love of her life, Charles S. Lauraine, Jr. whom she considered a gift from God. She enjoyed cooking and being a mom was her favorite thing in life. Artie was a sweet natured woman, and she will be forever missed.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her children: son – David A. Hull of Mesquite, TX; and daughters – Barbara Mulkey and husband William of Richmond, TX, Deborah Dunn and husband Jackey of Wichita Falls, Sandra Miller and husband Brad of Gardendale, and Diana Fudge and husband Danny of Wichita Falls; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and godson to her Tony Salas and family, who helped her build her house. She also leaves behind two brothers: Jerry Halsell of New Braunfels, and Bobby Halsell of Pecan Gap.
Artie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Charles S. Lauraine, Jr; brother: Perry Halsell; sister: Mary Davis; grandson: Brent Miller.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Resthaven North (Valhalla Mausoleum) in Midland, TX where Artie will be laid to rest with her beloved husband. Reverend Jimmy Braswell will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark A. Dunn, Byron Dunn, Scott Livingston, Little Jack Dunn, and Dustin Dunn. The family wants to extend a special thank you to Home Hospice and to Reverend Jimmy Braswell for all their help and support. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa.

Jimmy Lawrence “Jim” Sandlin, age 82, of Odessa, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 21, 2015. He was born in Lubbock County, TX on February 10, 1933 to the late Lawrence Hugh and Thelma (Copeland) Sandlin. He earned his degree from Texas Tech and worked in agricultural banking. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
Jim married Mona Rae Powell in Lubbock, TX at St. Luke’s Methodist Church on July 16, 1954 and they spent 60 happy years together.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Mona Sandlin of Odessa; son: Bradford Ray Sandlin of Odessa; and two grandchildren: Lana Rae Sandlin and Jimmy Lawrence Sandlin II of Little River, KS.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his son: Lannie Lawrence Sandlin and his sister: Kay Yvonne Sandlin Hickman.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm, June 29, 2015 at Crescent Park Baptist Church, officiated by Chaplain Clay Porter. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Jean Annette (Olive) Crews, age 46, of Leander, TX, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 in Leander. She was born on Friday, April 4, 1969 to Stella Jean Olive, and was later adopted by her grandparents, the late Willie James and Loyette (Hendrix) Olive, at the age of four. She was employed as a construction worker building houses.
Jean was a huge family woman, she adored her grandchildren and talked about them constantly. She loved doing construction. Jean enjoyed being outside, especially in the country. She liked to spend her free time going fishing, camping, and hunting. Jean was a fun loving person; you never saw her without a smile on her face. If Jean heard music, no matter to what genre was playing, be it country or rock and roll, she could be found dancing to it. She was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are son: Jeffery Wagner of Odessa; daughters: Chantel and husband Joe Elizondo of Odessa, and Stella and husband Royce Mason of Odessa; brother: Dubby Olive of Lubbock; sister: Christina Greene of Brownwood; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Stella Olive and her grandparents: Willie and Loyette Olive.

Jesus Jose Esparza, age 63, of Odessa, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in Stanton, TX at Martin County Hospital. He was born in San Pedro, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 28, 1952 to Manuel and Maria (Marquez) Esparza. He worked as an operator for the oilfield for many years.
Jesus was a very hard working man who had a kind and loving heart. To Jesus family came first. He was a great father, a simple man, and a man of few words.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Elsa Esparza; sons: Angel, Jesus and wife Claudia, and Adrian Esparza and wife Brenda, all of Odessa; brothers: Hector and Ramon Esparza, both of Chihuahua, MX ; sisters: Rosa Palomino, Elsa Silva, Aurora, Mari, and Monserat Esparza, all of Chihuahua, MX ; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 P.M. on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Iglesia Cristo Viene Casa de Misericordia 2111 W. 22nd St. Odessa, TX, officiated by Roman Iniguez. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery at Peaceful Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Jorge Adrian Rodriguez, age 39, of Odessa, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in Odessa, TX. He was born in Odessa, TX on December 21, 1975 to Ruben and Connie (Perez) Rodriguez. He was a cashier at Dollar Tree.
Jorge was a loving simple man. He was the type of person who would worry about everyone else and put their needs first. He was very artistic and loved to draw and paint portraits. Jorge also loved sports, his favorite being basketball which he played in high school at OHS. He loved any kind of music but his favorite was rap.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are wife: Denise Rand of Odessa; father: Ruben Rodriguez of Odessa; mother: Connie Rodriguez of Odessa; daughters: Jacenda Rodriguez of Big Spring and Carly Rodriguez of Odessa; step-daughters: Lalani Rand of Odessa and Miguela Munguia of Big Spring; brothers: Robby Rodriguez and wife Ivonne, Ruben Rodriguez and wife Veronica, all of Odessa, and Eric Rodriguez and wife Cathy of Austin; and sister: Jessica Delgado of Midland.
He was preceded in death by his brother in law: Sammy Delgado.

J. W. Morgan, age 87, of Odessa, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Deerings Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Odessa. He was born in Kingston, OK on May 6, 1928 to the late John Wesley and Rosa Etta (Stubblefield) Morgan. J. W. met his wife, Frances Perry, while working at a carnival. Her sister left them high and dry, upside down at the top of the “Bullet” ride and they have continued the topsy turvy adventure ever since. He and his beloved “Frances Lou – ezy” married in Ulysses, KS on September 25, 1948 and enjoyed almost 67 years together. He worked as a hot oiler for Yale E. Key in the oilfield, retiring at the age of 62. J. W. was also a retired pastor, having served many years as Pastor of Beacon Apostolic Church in Odessa.
A funny and loving man, he enjoyed giving nicknames to his grandkids and making up rhymes. Without the benefit of a formal education, J. W. taught himself to read and write. He also composed songs.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Frances Morgan of Odessa; son: Bill Morgan and wife Nquyet of Ft. Worth; daughter: Sharon Kay Lowrance and husband Jim of Ft. Worth; twelve beloved grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Jerry Wayne Morgan and Roy Lee Morgan; his brother: Wesley Lesley Morgan; and sisters: Annie, Lucile, Pluma Mae, and Goldie Morgan.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Gene Land.
