Terrie Sue Kersch, age 53, of Odessa, TX, passed from this life at Medical Center Hospital on Thursday, March 10, 2016. She was born in Andrews, TX on Wednesday, November 28, 1962 to Willie Oliver and Betty Sue (Sutherland) McIntyre. She was a Registered Nurse and an Air Force Veteran.
Terrie was a very intelligent and caring person. She was a Registered Nurse and was one of the first to train and work with Dr Srivastava and to use the DiVinci robot in New York. She also traveled to San Francisco to train other nurses in the new technology that would be saving lives safer and easier. Terrie was in the US Air Force for 2 years in Germany as an administrative assistant. She also enjoyed yard work, housework and organized chaos. Terrie loved her pet rats Rocket and Rascal as well.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her mother: Betty McIntyre of Andrews, TX; son: James Phelps of Sun Prairie, WI; daughter: Angela Menzl and wife Stephanie Munoz of Odessa, TX and five grandchildren: Aric Menzl of Crane, TX, Damon Menzl of Andrews, TX, Luis Munoz, Aaron Theisfeld and Manuel Theisfeld of Odessa, TX.
She was preceded in death by her father: Willie Oliver McIntyre; son: Christopher Allen Menzl and brother: Jerry Oliver McIntyre.

Martin Enrique Madrid, age 46, passed away
Friday, March 11, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX.
He was born Friday, January 30, 1970 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, MX to
the late Santos and Trinidad (Torres) Madrid. He was a farm and
ranch hand. He was Catholic.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Faustina Leon Huerta Madrid of Odessa; son: Martin Madrid, Jr. of Midland; daughters: Julissa Madrid and Naomi Madrid, both of Roswell, NM; sister: Guadalupe Torres of Odessa; niece: Blanca Anaya of Odessa; and nephews: Librado Anaya, Diego Anaya, and Mauricio Anaya.
Rosary will be recited at Acres West 24 Chapel at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, officiated by Father Fernando Bonilla. Interment will follow at the Peaceful Gardens Section of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
Theartis Quincy Johnson, age 50, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at his home. He was born in Long Beach, CA on June 14, 1965 to the late Audry Major Johnson and Alfred Maxine (Russell) Johnson. He was an auto mechanic.
Theartis is survived by his sister: Venita Cannon and husband Allen of Odessa and brother: Roger Keith Jackson of Midland.
In addition to his parent, Quincy was preceded in death by his brother, Audry M. Johnson, Jr. and sister, Gail Alonza Terry.
Services will be privately held at a later date in Ruidoso, NM. Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Maria Ines Serrano, age 93, of Gardendale, TX, passed from this life at her residence on Sunday, March 13, 2016. She was born in Vado De Piedra, Chihuahua, Mexico to Fortino and Maria (Carrasco) Sandoval on October 22, 1922. She was a homemaker. She married Juan Serrano in Barrancos de Guadalupe on January 11, 1941 and they enjoyed 39 years together before he preceded her in death in April 1980. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Presidio.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her seven sons: Rafael Serrano of Lovington, NM, Pablo Serrano and wife Ignacia of Presidio, TX, Porforio and wife Maria of Presidio, TX, Luis Serrano of Andres, TX, Benjamin Serrano and wife Linda of Presidio, TX, Jaime Serrano of Hobbs, NM and Victor Serrano and wife Leticia of Lovington, NM; two daughters: Aida Serrano and husband Juan of Gardendale, TX and Elena Serrano and husband Manuel of Presidio, TX; sister: Marsela Chavez of Artesia, NM; daughters-in-law: Monica Serrano and Delma Serrano; son-in-law: Jose David; 49 grandchildren; 113 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Fortino and Maria Sandoval; husband: Juan Serrano; daughter: Viviana Serrano; two sons: David and Librado Serrano, three sisters and six brothers.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday,
March 15, 2016 at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel. Burial will follow at

Marian Chapa Wilkerson, age 81, of Odessa, passed from this life on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at her home. In her last days, she was surrounded by love and support of family and friends. She was born in Beeville, TX on July 2, 1934 to the late Lucio and Enriqueta (Gonzalez) Chapa.
She married her beloved, Kellis Elbert Wilkerson, Sr. on April 2, 1966 in Lubbock, TX and she took on many responsibilities as a new wife and mother. She was a loving mother to his four children and raised them as her own. She always remembered everyone’s birthdays and faithfully sent cards. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her and she loved having family around her. She loved to watch her grandchildren play sports and dance. All children who came to her home were welcomed and adopted by a loving, “Nanny”. Marian enjoyed listening to Tejano music and dancing Cumbia while cooking. Bingo was her addiction and the family thanks Odessa Bingo for all the love given to her over the years.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her daughters: Susanne Althea Clark and husband Johnny of Midland and Charlotte Wallace and husband Billy of Odessa; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kelli Flores and husband Bernardo and their children, (Abigayl, Anavel, and Bernardo Jr.), Kevin Colt Wallace and his children (Kevin II, Kaylee, Faith, A. J. and Bailiegh), Stormy Marie Hawkins and her children (Jessie, Samuel, and Merrick), and Johnny Brett Clark II; sister: Victoria Ragusin of Mission; and niece and nephew: Crystal Bird and Alfred Ragusin III. She was loved and will be mourned by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Kellis Wilkerson, Sr. who passed September 6, 2014, brother: Lucio Chapa; and one son who passed at an early age of 24: David Isaac Wilkerson.
Public visitation will begin at
noon Tuesday. Funeral
services will be 4:00 pm Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Acres West
Funeral Chapel, officiated by Father Joe Uecker.

Auther Clifton Cheairs was known by many names, Auther, A.C., Daddy, Dad, Papaw, Poppy. He was a husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, great-great-grandpa, a sailor, an uncle, brother and friend. In life he was a painter. Each title, every name, all areas in which he served, he did so with great pride and love.
On Sunday evening, March 13, he took his final breath, he quietly drifted, from the life he had loved so dearly, to his new home. He had said his goodbyes, heard each “I love you”, it was time. The second his heart stopped, he entered his eternal home. He was greeted by his beloved wife, Bonnie. They shared almost 68 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on September 9, 2014. The days since their separation were difficult but were filled with love, family, friends and making new memories for his loved ones to cherish.
Auther is survived by his son, David and Carla of Mansfield; daughter, Judy Cichon of Odessa; grandchildren: Chris and Lori Beam of Springtown, John Cheairs of Calera, Oklahoma, Becky and Dale Laird of Lewisville, Tina Cheairs of Carrollton, Amber and Edgar Hernandez of Odessa, and Azure Dodson of Humble; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Alyssa, Madison, Riley, Grace, Zoi, Faith, Fallon, J.J. and Amos; loved and will also be missed by his nieces and nephews. His mother and Dad, all of his brothers had made their last journeys before him.
A memorial service and celebration will be held on Tuesday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. Odessa Bible Church, his home church, will host the service. J.D. O’Neal will officiate. Auther loved and appreciated Pastor Bob Thayer, who will be unable to be with the family on Tuesday.

Justin Kyle Honesto, age 33, of Odessa, TX
passed from this life unexpectedly on Sunday, March 13, 2016. He
was born in Levelland, Texas on Monday, November 15, 1982 to Joseph
and Jamie Honesto. Justin graduated from Levelland High School in
2001 and relocated to Odessa in 2005 to be near his parents.
He was a salesman for Blue Line Rental.

Justin was really big in nutrition, health, fitness and weight lifting. He enjoyed woodworking and was currently working on living room furniture. Justin loved riding motorcycles and was a diehard Florida Gators fan. He enjoyed the single life, you could always see him at Hooters, Twin Peaks and Tilted Kilt. He also loved his children more than anything and loved taking them out to eat.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his parents: Joseph and Jamie Honesto of Odessa, his children: twins Kyle Joseph and Kynadee Ann Honesto both of Lubbock, brother: Brandan Honesto and wife Brittany both of Odessa, two nephews: Donovan and Jaxson Honesto of Odessa and one niece: Dnae Honesto of Odessa.
Funeral Mass for Justin will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and Rosary will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Chihuahua, Mexico, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 at Medical
Center Hospital. He
was born in El Mimbre, MPO Ojinaga, Chihuahua, México on November
18, 1928 to the late Antonio Carrasco Martinez and Estefana Mendoza
de Carrasco. He was a
farmer and rancher.

Manuela Gonzalez de Olivas, age 89, of Odessa, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. She was born in San Juan, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on Wednesday, January 26, 1927 to the late Efrain Gonzalez and Gabina (Mendoza) Gonzalez. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Maria Isela Martinez, Sylvia Muñoz, and Celia Lujan, all of Odessa; sons: Higinio Olivas and Miguel Olivas, both of Ojinaga, CH, MX; brothers: Ramon and Concepcion Gonzalez, both of Odessa; sisters: Maria Gonzalez of Odessa and Carlotta Gonzalez and Felimon Gonzalez, both of Ojinaga, CH, MX; thirty-one grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband: Mariano Villanueva, her second husband: Roberto Olivas, children: Jose Angel Olivas, Gilberto Olivas, Domingo Villanueva, and Ramona Villanueva, and several siblings: Juan, Timoteo, Jose, Mercedes, Angela, Diega, and Elpidia.
