Jerry Odell Baker Sr 
Jerry O’Dell Baker Sr
Jerry O’Dell Baker Sr., age 79, of Odessa, TX, left this earth to join the Lord at Odessa Regional Medical Center on Saturday, April 23, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Coleman County, TX on Friday, September 25, 1936 to the late James and Lillie (Cason) Baker.

Jerry married the love of his life, Barbara Macon on November 24, 1960. He worked at the family business in Albany, TX until 1968, when he packed up his family and moved to Odessa, TX. There, he worked as a machinist for over 30 years at Wooley Tool. Jerry is remembered for his kind heart and gentleness. He was an avid supporter of the Permian Panthers, as well as, the Texas Rangers. He loved all sports and especially loved coaching baseball and softball.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife of 55 years: Barbara Baker; daughter: Margie Dell Jenkins and husband Sheldon; daughter-in-law: Rhonda Baker; grandsons: Brian Baker and wife Gina, Erik Casarez and wife Chelsea, Justin Casarez and wife Kaitlin; granddaughter: Kelli Martin-Jenkins; brother-in-law: Willie Macon and wife Kim; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister; 3 brothers and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son: Jerry Baker Jr.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Will Macon. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

Terri Kathleen Munro, 55, of Odessa, passed from this life Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Odessa. She was born Sunday, September 18, 1960 in Odessa, TX to George C. Lyon and Emily Clark. Terri was a massage therapist for 16 years and was a member of First Christian Church.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her father: George Lyon of Tatum, TX; one daughter: Amanda M. Munro of Hobbs, NM; one sister: Julie Lyon of Odessa, TX; one grandchild: Kelly James Self of Odessa, TX; and one nephew: Zachary Lyon of Odessa, TX.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Emily Clark.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Boleka M. Vinson, 60, of Odessa, passed from this life Monday, April 25, 2016 in Odessa, TX. She was born in Micronesia on Saturday, May 28, 1955 to Benjamin Ludwig and Karianna (Otto) Johnny.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her two sons: Mason Russel of Odessa, TX and Willy Mays Rudolph of Micronesia; three daughters: Macelynn Russel of Odessa, TX, Mabelynn Russel of Micronesia and Tanisha Otoko of Euless, TX; five brothers: Paul Otoko, Benito Obdaiah, Princeton Johnny, Adalbert Johnny and Einstein Ludwig; eight sisters: Molly Edward, Ludwiga Ludwig, Cheeney Ludwig, Macelynn Ludwig, Joylynn Johnny, Monalisa Johnny, Joyce Johnny, Charlynn Ludwig; daughter-in-laws: Sandy Henry and Jubilynn Waayam; son-in-law: Brandon Iriarte and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Edwin Rudolph Vinson; son: Marvin Russel; brother: Apolois Johnny and sister: Rita Ludwig.

Esteban Lopez Cabello, age 71, of Fort Stockton, TX, passed from this life at Medical Center Hospital on April 27, 2016. He was born in Juncal, Coahuila, Mexico. He was born on Thursday December 28, 1944 to Antonio and Leonor (Lopez) Cabello. He was a laborer.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Andrea Cabello; three sons: Jaime Cabello, Joel Cabello and Joemar Cabello; three daughters: Elisa Cabello Acosta, Melissa Cabello and Minelda Cabello; three brothers: Luis Cabello, Pedro Cabello and Antonio Cabello; two sisters: Catarina Cabello and Rosa Cabello; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his son: Esteban Cabello; brother: Jose Cabello; sister: Maria Cabello and granddaughter: Brianna Cabello.

Funeral services will be held at a later date with burial to follow at Panteon Municipal in Manuel Benavides, Mexico. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Barbara L. Turner, age 63, of Odessa, passed from this life on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Odessa Regional Medical Center Hospital. She was born in Roswell, New Mexico on Monday December 8, 1952 to the late Nick James and Barbara Lucille (Wilson) Reed. She attended Tanglewood Baptist Church and was a Veteran of the US Air Force.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her son: Chris Arnold and wife Sandra of Roswell, NM; daughter: Robin Smith and husband Mike of Abilene, TX; brother: Robert Prince and wife Jackie of Odessa, TX; uncle: Lonnie Wilson; 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her biological father: Nick James; step-father: Reaford Reed and two brothers: Michael and Alan Prince.

Tyler Daniel Keeton, age 24, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at his residence on Saturday, April 30, 2016. He was born in Odessa, TX on May 10, 1991 to Stephen Lynn and Ella Mae (Keeton) Hightower.

Tyler was very adventurous and loved using his hands. He enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. Tyler was also very stubborn and headstrong. He worried about others and had a heart of gold. His dog Siri and his truck were his babies. Tyler never wanted to be the center of attention. He worked throughout his illness, never asking “Why Me”. Tyler was always a phone call away whenever you needed him and was not bashful in any way. Our Tylee will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his father: Stephen Hightower of Odessa, TX; mother: Ella Woodard and husband: Cody of Odessa, TX; paternal grandmothers: Cheryll Hightower and Lynda Thompson; girlfriend: Amanda Foust of Odessa, TX; four brothers: James Keeton and wife Lindsey and their children Cheyenne and Kylee, Luke Hightower, Kramer Woodard and Hayden Deitrick, all of Odessa, TX; four sisters: Jamie Williams of Midland, TX; Bryttanie Dietrick, Tamara Deitrick and Charlynn Westbrook and husband Dustin, all of Odessa, TX, as well as, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Peggy Sue Presley
Peggy Sue Presley, age 72, of Odessa, TX, passed from this life at her residence on Saturday, April 30, 2016. She was born in Bay, Arkansas on November 27, 1943 to the late Emmett and Clara (Proctor) Long. She was a homemaker.

Peggy was a loving mother, who enjoyed gardening, history, sewing and helping Tammy. Peggy always volunteered for PTA and school and loved her family very much. She was always there for Tammy and her friends. She enjoyed cooking for all of them. Peggy also loved fishing, cleaning the fish but not eating them. In her later years she was employed as a hostess at Western Sizzler’s in Midland and Odessa.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her daughter: Tammy Presley and one grandson Jordan, both of Ft. Worth, TX; three brothers: Emmett Long and wife Gay of Odessa, TX, Ray Long and wife Rhonda of Garland, TX and Roger Long of Bonham, TX; two sisters: Vera Cupp and Velda Record and husband Charles, both of Whitney, TX. She also leaves behind best friend Janelle Owen and husband (AJ) of Odessa, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Our little angel, Jeremiah Enoch Martinez was whisked away to the arms of Jesus on Monday, May 2, 2016.  He was born on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Odessa Regional Medical Center in Odessa, TX to Roberto and Aydee (Serrano) Martinez.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his parents: Roberto and Aydee Martinez of Odessa, TX; sister: Isabella Martinez of Odessa, TX and 9 nieces and nephews.

Reynaldo Lujan Gonzalez, age 81, of Alpine, TX, passed from this life at Medical Center Hospital on Thursday, May 5, 2016. He was born in Los Boquillas, Mexico on June 16, 1934 to the late Mauro and Josefina (Lujan) Gonzalez. He was a rancher.

Reynaldo loved ranching and being outside. He enjoyed tending to his chickens, roosters, garden, and mowing lawns. Reynaldo loved his corridos and his lottery tickets as well. He liked to play poker, going for rides and telling stories.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his three daughters: Rena, Suzanna and Blanca Gonzales, all of Alpine, TX; brother: Gomisidio Gonzalez of Midland, TX; two sisters: Petra and Chata Gonzalez, both of Ojinaga, MX and 5 grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Vicente and Justino Gonzalez and sister: Maria Gonzalez

Ronnie Dean Sanders, age 65, of Battle Ground, WA, passed away at Medical Center Hospital of Odessa on May 5, 2016.  He was born in Chicago, IL on May 22, 1950 to the late Walter and Maudie Estelle (Griffin) Sanders.  He was a pipeline inspector and a US Army Veteran.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his fiancée:  Betty Raycraft of Battle Ground, WA; children:  Ronald Sanders of Crestview, FL, Walter Sanders and Stevie Sanders, both of Brewton, AL; brothers:  George Sanders and Owen Glen Sanders, both of Bay Springs, MS, Billy Sanders of Sheridan, TX; and five grandchildren:  Michaela, Alyssa, Kristofer, Waylon, and William.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa.

Juan Carlos Fierro, age 38, of Odessa, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Friday, May 6, 2016.  He was born to Maria Garcia and Marcos Fierro in Ojinaga, Mexico on August 26, 1977.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his parents:  Maria Garcia and Marco Fierro; paternal grandmother:  Maria Lujan Fierro; maternal grandparents:  Manuel and Antonia Carrasco; two brothers:  Israel Fierro and Angel Loya; and one sister: Marisol Fierro.

He was preceded in death by his sister: Mayra K. Fierro; and paternal grandfather:  Benito Fierro.

Rosary will be recited at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 7:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, officiated by Father Fernando Bonilla.  Interment will follow at the Peaceful Garden section of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
