Edra Fern “Pedie” Robertson

Edra Fern “Pedie” Robertson, age 80 of Gardendale, TX went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Pedie was born Friday, February 28, 1936 to Mary and Vernon Wilson in Muskogee, OK. She met and married Gary Robertson in Odessa on Saturday, December 21, 1957.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pedie is survived by her husband: Gary Robertson, one daughter: Shelly Espinoza and husband Joe, one son: Michael Robertson and wife Gina, one sister: Peggy Newport, one brother: Sonny Wilson and wife Barbara, three grandchildren: Nick Blain and wife Maria, Syrice Bogart and husband Casey, Shanna McCarry and husband Mike and three great- grandchildren.

Memorial Services for Pedie will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Ramon Torres Gonzales, age 86, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at Medical Center Hospital on Thursday, July 28, 2016. He was born in Colonia Pueblito, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 11, 1930 to the late Gorgonio and Jesusita (Torres) Gonzales. He was a farmer.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his three daughters: Maria de Jesus Mancha and husband Guadalupe, Martha Carrillo and husband Jose and Ana Maria Mancha and husband Cruz; one brother: Enrique Gonzales; one sister: Concha Gonzales; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Gorgonio and Jesusita (Torres) Gonzales; brothers: Dolores and Jose Gonzales and sisters: Hortencia and Pilar Gonzales.

Burial will be held at Cemeterio de Colonia Pueblito, Chihuahua, Mexico. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Juanita Gomez Tarin, age 86, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at her residence on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. She was born in San Pedro, Coyame, Mexico on Saturday, May 10, 1930 to the late Juan and Dorotea (Gomez) Tarin. She was a Homemaker.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her three sons: Cruz Tarin, Ramon Tarin and Abelino Tarin, all of Odessa; two daughters: Isidra Tarin and Carmela Tarin, both of Odessa; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Juan and Dorotea (Gomez) Tarin.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Miguel Gonzalez. Burial will follow at the Peaceful Gardens section of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Pauline (Bailey) Wright
Pauline (Bailey) Wright, age 93, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at Medical Center Hospital on Saturday, August 6, 2016. She was born in Silver Valley, TX on Saturday, February 24, 1923 to the late Adolphus and Della (Thompson) Bailey. She was a Homemaker. Pauline married JD Wright on August 30, 1940 in Coleman, TX. He preceded her in death in 1996.

When Pauline was young she picked up the guitar and would sing on the radio in the 1950’s. Pauline enjoyed sitting with her family and having jam sessions. She would play for dances and country music was everything to her. Pauline was strong willed and hardworking, having come from early Texas pioneers. Her great-grandfather was a Texas Ranger. Pauline loved doing yard work. She always kept her yard so beautiful and rode her riding lawnmower until the age of 90. Pauline enjoyed Thanksgiving at her house and making the turkey and dressing was her favorite.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her sons: Jerry Wright, Larry Wright and wife Imogene and Rodney Wright and wife Candace, all of Odessa, TX; daughters: Patsy Craig of Odessa, TX and Judy Gilliam and husband Bill of Weatherford, TX and sister: Kathey Fox of Wichita Falls, TX; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Adolphus and Della (Thompson) Bailey; husband: JD Wright; son: Jimmy Wright; brothers: Dock, Bill and Mack Bailey and sister: Louise Surratt.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Mike Bartlett. Burial will follow at the Rosehill section of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

William Thomas Craven, age 88 of Odessa, TX passed from this life at Mo’s Country Living in Andrews, TX on Saturday, August 6, 2016. He was born in Mineral Wells, TX on Wednesday, September 7, 1927 to Lathan and Pearl Craven. He married Bertha Paige Craven in Odessa, TX and she preceded him in death in May 2006.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his son: Keenan Craven of Dallas, TX; daughters: Britnee and Dustee Craven, both of Odessa, TX; grandchildren: Shana Glasgow of Odessa, TX, Scott Thomas Price of Bowie, TX, Billy Craven of Florida and Tammy Cooper of Florida, as well as several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lathan and Pearl Craven; wife: Bertha Paige Craven; son: Billy Craven; daughter: Gloria Jean Price and sisters: Novella and Lona Mae Craven.

Adrian “Gordo” Madrid Barrera, age 38, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. He was born in Andrews, TX on Sunday, July 30, 1978 to Adrian and Estella (Madrid) Barrera.

Adrian was a good son. He loved to joke around and would give you the shirt off of his back. Adrian cherished his family and loved playing with his nieces and nephews. He was also a good baseball player while in school. In the past Adrian owned Diamond Auto Paint in Odessa. He was a fan of oldies and tejano, as well as Santana.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his parents: Adrian and Estella (Madrid) Barrera of Odessa, TX; two sons: Angel and Alexander Barrera of Odessa, TX; two daughters: Lexxis and Theresa Barrera of Odessa, TX; two brothers: Abraham and Elijah Barrera of Odessa, TX and two sisters: Katrina and Sabrina Barrera of Odessa, TX.

He was preceded in death by his daughter: Amariss Renae Barrera.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, August 15, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, officiated by Father Fernando Bonilla.  Interment follows at Odessa II Gardens Section of Ector County Cemetery.

Jasper Jess Adamson, Sr. age 67, of Odessa, passed peacefully from this life at Medical Center Hospital on Monday, August 8, 2016, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Alpine, TX on June 1, 1949 to the late Hallie Levi and Beatrice (Cobos) Adamson.  He was a self-employed construction contractor.

Mr. Adamson is survived by his sons:  Jasper Adamson, Jr. of San Antonio and Lee Roy Adamson of Marion, IN; daughters:  Christina Adamson of Rosenburg and Susie Martinez of Odessa; one brother and three sisters; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00 am.  Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Nancy Sue Jones, age 74, of Odessa passed from this life Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at her residence. She was born Thursday, October 2, 1941 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to the late Battis and Lewis Jones. Nancy married Wesley “Buck” Jones Friday, December 1, 1961 in Odessa, TX.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her spouse: Wesley “Buck” Jones of Odessa, TX; one son: Dee Jones of Abilene, TX; one sister: Pat Masse of Odessa, TX and two grandchildren: McKenna and McCoy both of Abilene, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter: Tina Jones and her sister: Ann Crawford.

Memorial Services will be held at 10 am Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Sylvia Lee Greenwade, age 58, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at Medical Center Hospital on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. She was born in Odessa on Monday, October 14, 1957 to the late Willie and Eula (Patterson) Thomas.  She was a homemaker.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband:  Ronald Greenwade of Odessa; son: Andre Thomas of Odessa; daughter:  Shamaica Taylor and husband Sidney of San Antonio; two brothers:  Andronicus Briggs of Odessa and Darius DeMarcus Briggs of Amarillo; sister:  Regina Germany of Odessa; brother-in-law:  Gary Greenwade of Odessa; two grandchildren:  Shatoya Ellis and Khalil Taylor, both of San Antonio; and a host of friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother:  Aaron Wesley.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Parks Memorial Church of God and Christ at Murphy and Humble Streets, officiated by Rev. Roy Colvin, Sr. Interment will follow at Odessa II Gardens Section of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
