Odessa on Friday, August 19, 2016. He was born in Fort Worth, TX on
Thursday, August 15, 1974 to Charles Phillips and Loretta Belknap.
Billy was very opinionated, stubborn, polite, fun loving and good hearted. He was very mischievous as a child but had a great personality. Thru all of his illness he was a believer in Jesus Christ. Billy enjoyed taking things apart only to rebuild them, as well as artistry, doing tattoos and sketch work. He was the biggest Mama’s boy and his last dying wish was for his mom to hold him.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his mother: Loretta Belknap of Odessa, TX; son: Logan Phillips of Ft. Worth, TX; daughter: Bailey Phillips of Kermit, TX; three sisters: Stephanie Pena and husband Roy of Odessa, TX, Lisa Henkell of Midland, TX and Regina Smith and husband Bill of Midland, TX; four nieces; four nephews; many cousins that he grew up with, one grandchild and one grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his father: Charles Phillips; grandfather: U.G. Logan and cousin: Christy Warden.

Annie Lula (Pegues) Clark, age 98, of Odessa, TX passed from this
life at Crane Nursing and Rehabilitation in Crane, TX on Friday,
August 19, 2016. She was born in Odessa, TX on December 28, 1917 to
the late Henry Harvey and Mary Emily (Bates) Pegues. She married
Glen LeRoy Clark in Odessa, TX on September 1, 1936 and he preceded
her in death in 2002.
|Maxye Buren "Max" Thomas|
Maxye Buren "Max" Thomas, age 77 of Odessa, TX passed from this
life in Odessa, TX on Saturday, August 20, 2016. He was born in
Carthage, TX on Tuesday, August 23, 1938 to Allen and Bernice
(Lane) Thomas. He married Bonita Colbert on October 27, 1956 in
Rockwall, TX and they enjoyed 60 years together. Maxye was baptized
in Sweetwater in 1962.
Max had a great sense of humor and was very funny. He was adventurous and enjoyed spending time with his sons camping.
Maxye became a biker in the 1960’s and bought his first Harley in the 1990’sj. He went on and joined the CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) and rode until about 2005. He had an eye for motorcycles and seemed like he would sell one to his sons almost yearly, then tell Bonita, her behind sure would look good sitting on that new one!
He enjoyed traveled abroad with Bonita after the kids left home and he always romanced her. Max loved spoiling Dyann because she was his only daughter. He always said “I hate kids and dogs” but he lied, his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids meant the world to him.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Bonita Thomas of Odessa, sons: Mark Thomas and wife Juli of Grand Junction, CO, Gary Thomas and wife Joni of Farmers Branch, TX and Sam and wife Mae Thomas of Pila the Philippines; daughter: Dyann Wythe and husband Gil of Odessa; honorary daughter: Beth Bustillos and husband Roland of Odessa; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Allen and Bernice Thomas.

Maurine Fincher Jones, age 73, of Odessa, passed away at her home on
Sunday, August 21, 2016. She was born in Bonham, TX on June 12, 1943
to the late Dan and Clara (Harmon) Fincher. She was a homemaker,
loved Elvis Presley, dancing and was the best cook ever.
In high school she played basketball and track, lettering in both sports. Maurine also loved camping, fishing and going to the horse races with Dad.
Maurine is survived by her son: Mark Jones of Odessa; daughter: Kim Sheehan and husband Greg of Odessa; four brothers: Mike Harmon and wife Shirley of Allen, TX, Pat Harmon of Wichita Falls, James Lee Harmon and wife Jean of Denton, and Roy Fincher and wife Pat of Albuquerque, NM; fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her spouse: K.R. Jones (retired Deputy Chief of Odessa); her parents and her sister: Maxine Fincher.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Heights Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Judy Lynn Williams, age 67, of Odessa, passed from this life Monday, August 22, 2016 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born Saturday, November 20, 1948 in Stanton, TX to the late Ethel Harrison and Samuel Overby. Judy married Jessie Williams Thursday, April 23, 1970 in Lovington, New Mexico.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband: Jessie Williams of Odessa, TX; one son: Dennis P. Williams of San Angelo, TX; one brother: Caroll Overby; two sisters: Jeanie Burton of Monahans, TX and Fay Wigglesworth of Covington, TX; one granddaughter: Sydney L. Williams of San Angelo, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carrie May Wright, age 27, of Odessa, passed away at her home on Monday, August 22, 2016. She was born in Lubbock, TX on July 21, 1989. She graduated Permian High School in 2008.
Carrie had a great sense of humor and was always cracking jokes. She was very smart and naturally computer savvy, even doing some “hacking” in her high school days. She loved color pin bowling. She and her Daddy were very good buddies and she always took care of Momma.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her parents: Ricky and Andrea Wright of Odessa; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Jack and Mary Berniece Wright; maternal grandparents: Andy E. and Shirley May Register; aunt: Sharon Gay Courtney; and uncles: Danny Wright, Bobby Register, and Johnny Register.

residence. He was born in De Leon, TX on April 8, 1936 to the late
Venison and Gladys (Perkins) Bradford. Gerald married Elsie Leach
on September 9, 1958 in Hale Center, TX and they enjoyed 58 years
together. He was a US Army Veteran.

Jerrald Dean Gatlin, age 68 of Odessa, TX passed from this life at his residence on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. He was born in Key West, FL on Saturday, July 3, 1948 to the late James Edward and Gladys Louise Gatlin. Jerrald married Brenda Kay Ray in Odessa, TX on November 24, 2012. He was a veteran of the US Navy and also worked in the oilfield.
Jerrald was a mischievous man who loved to stir the pot. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing along. Jerrald also loved his dogs very much.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife Brenda Gatlin of Odessa, TX; two sons: Roy Gatlin of Odessa, TX and Jerrald Gatlin Jr. of Mount Bevel, TX; two daughters: Lawanda Gatlin of Payne Springs, TX and Chelsea Gatlin of Houston, TX; two brothers: James and Billy Gatlin, both of Homestead, FL; three sisters: Linda Swain of Mississippi, Mary Nagel of Brownwood, TX and Cindie Howell of Marshville, MO; two grandchildren: Samantha Earl and Heather Moore and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: James Edward and Gladys Louise Gatlin.

Antonio Estrada Ibarra, age 47, of Odessa, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Thursday, August 25, 2016. He was born in Ejido Conocido Jose Isabel Robles, Durango, Mexico to the late Paulino and Maria de Los Angeles (Ibarra) Estrada on June 13, 1969. He was Catholic.
Antonio is survived by his wife: Gloria (Salinas) Estrada; three sons: Antonio Jr., Marco Antonio, and Jesus Estrada; two daughters: Mabel Estrada Carrasco and Tracy Estrada; all of Odessa; two brothers; five sisters; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at a later date in Ejido Conocido Jose Isabel Robles, Durango, Mexico with burial to follow at Cementerio San Francisco.
