Karen Beaubien
Karen Diane Beaubien

Karen Diane Beaubien, 75, of Odessa, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 in Midland, TX. She was born Sunday, December 8, 1940 in Fallon, NV to Norman and Betty Thoyre. Karen enjoyed sewing, making quilts and the company of her grandchildren. She became a broker for Century 21 before opening her own practice in real estate. In 1974 she was returning to Reno, NV with her husband and first born son when they settled in Midland, TX.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her two sons: Scott Beaubien and Craig Beaubien both of Midland, TX; one brother: Ron Thoyre of Winnemucca, NV; three sisters: Norma Johnson of New Castle, CA; Jean Wolfe of Rhode Island; Nancy Moore of Bothell, WA; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Victor Gonzelez IV

Victor Gonzelez IV, age 33, of Andrews, passed away in Odessa on August 26, 2016.  He was born in Odessa on September 2, 1982 to Victor Quintela Gonzelez and Nancylee Helen (Wells) Gonzelez.  He worked as a diesel mechanic.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his father:  Victor Q. Gonzelez of Andrews; stepmother:  Rebecca Treviño Mandson of Andrews; mother: Nancylee Gonzelez of Schertz; brothers:  George Gonzelez of Schertz, and Pedro Garcia and wife Audriana of Andrews; sister:  Monica Lee Rodriguez and husband Mark Anthony Rodriguez of Odessa; three nieces and two nephews, and aunts and uncles.

Visitation at the funeral home will begin Monday, August 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm.  Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Bartlett.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

Jesus Manuel Lujan Sotelo, age 59, of Odessa, passed away in a car accident in Reeves County, TX on Saturday, August 27, 2016.  He was born in Ojinaga, CH, Mexico on February 6, 1957 to Santos and Agricola (Sotelo) Lujan.  He was an independent truck driver.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife:  Alicia (Muñoz) Lujan; his parents:  Santos and Agricola Lujan; seven sons:  Juan Manuel Lujan and wife Dana, Omar Lujan and wife Diana, Santos Lujan and wife Victoria, Jesus Gutierrez and wife Evana, Fabian Lujan, Efren Lujan, and Ivan Lujan; daughter:  Brenda Yvonne Lujan Velez and husband Josh, all of Odessa; brothers:  Adrian Lujan, Carlos Lujan, Jose Luis Lujan, and Margarito Lujan; sisters:  Armeda Aguilar, Genoveva Sanchez, Margarita Leyva, Felicitas Caballiero, AnaMaria Levario, Rosario Leyva, and Zoraida Huitron; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers:  David Sotelo and Santos Lujan, Jr.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, officiated by Father Fernando Bonilla.  Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Section of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Emmett Hollowell
Emmett Lee Hollowell

Emmett Lee Hollowell, age 63, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at his residence on Sunday, August 28, 2016.  He was born in Artesia, NM on Thursday, March 26, 1953 to the late Ray Lee and Myrtle LaVerne (Curruth) Hollowell.  Emmett married Fawnda Shupe in Odessa on October 18, 2003.  He had retired from work as a tongsman in the oilfield.

Emmett enjoyed carpentry especially doing the framework.  He also enjoyed fishing, guns, and motorcycles.  His preacher called him an old biker hippie.  Emmett always pretended not to care for people, but truly loved them all.  It was a great pastime to sit and listen to Emmett tell stories of his life adventures.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife:  Fawnda Hollowell of Odessa; son: Ricky Hicks of Odessa; daughters:  Racheal Harris and husband Andrew of Odessa, Elysha “Tooter” Hollowell of Dallas, and Jessi Nicole Hollowell of Anderson; sister: Thresa Sexton of Bedias; and eight grandchildren:  Natalie, Austin, Mariah, Evin, Ezequiel, Erika, Freedom, and Savanah.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Barbara Ann Kelly, age 74, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at Medical Center Hospital on Sunday, August 28, 2016. She was born in Eastland County, TX on February 21, 1942 to John Lewis and Mary Elizabeth (Weaver) Allen. She was a member of Emet Ha Torah.  Barbara was an RN for 55 years and a PTA for 20 years.  She worked at Medical Center Hospital and Midland Memorial Hospital.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her daughter: Jamie Burk of Odessa, TX and her two children.

All family has preceded her in death except her daughter and her family.

Funeral services will be at Acres West Pine Chapel in Odessa at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 31, 2016.  Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at Kermit Cemetery in Kermit, TX.  Services are officiated by Dan Johnson and Pastor Brian Serrano. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Paulina Gomez Ojeda, age 83, of Odessa, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in Odessa, TX. She was born Thursday, June 22, 1933 in Redford, TX to Demetrio and Catalina (Ramirez) Gomez.  She was Catholic.  Paulina was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her two sons: Enrique Ojeda Jr. of Odessa, TX; Tony Ojeda Sr. of Anaconda, MT; one sister: Maria Salgado of Midland, TX; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Paulina was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Enrique Ojeda Sr.

Dorothy Naomi Henderson

Dorothy Naomi Henderson, age 80, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at her residence on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. She was born in Indiahoma, Oklahoma on Thursday, September 12, 1935 to the late Daniel Nathan and Augusta Lillian (Albright) Kirk.   Dorothy married Harry Henderson in Lovington, NM on August 2, 1954.  She was a nurse.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband of 62 years:  Harry Henderson; two sons: Larry Leroy Henderson and Gary Lee Henderson, both of Odessa, TX; daughter: Terry Ann Nelson of Odessa, TX; brothers: George Kirk of Granby, MO and Steve Kirk of Odessa, TX; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren with another one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Daniel and Augusta Kirk and one brother:  Arthur Kirk.

No services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Hervey "El Cabezon" Levario  Sr.

Hervey "El Cabezon" Levario Sr, age 49, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at Medical Center Hospital on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. He was born in Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 8, 1967 to Jesus Jose and Pilar (Padilla) Levario. He was a truck driver.

Hervey was a very positive man and would give you the shirt off of his back. Even if he had to lie he would make the best of it. He was a caring father and grandfather. Hervey had a big heart and helped a lot of people. He started SOS Logistics in 2011 with his sons. Hervey also enjoyed traveling to Mexico.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his mother: Pilar Levario of Odessa, TX; sons: Hervey Levario Jr, Levie Levario and Kobe Levario, all of Odessa, TX; daughter: Christian Hinojos of Odessa, TX; brothers: Jesus Levario Jr and Hector Levario of Odessa, TX; sisters: Leticia Levario of Cuchillo Parado, MX, Lorena Marquez and Roxanna Cervantes, both of Odessa, TX and three grandchildren: Xavian, Santiago and Darien.

He was preceded in death by his father: Jesus Jose Levario.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, September 2, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, officiated by Father Fernando Bonilla. Joyce Halfacre

Iva Joyce Halfacre, age 62, of Odessa, passed away at her home on Friday, September 2, 2016.  Joyce was born in Odessa on October 24, 1953 to the late Earl and Mary Lee (Coats) Lisenbee.  Joyce married Danny Halfacre in Odessa on March 10, 1971.  Together they worked as a team doing long haul trucking. 

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her husband:  Danny Halfacre; sons:  Shane Halfacre and Dean Halfacre; daughter:  Danna Charles; brother:  Lonnie Lisenbee; sisters:  Kathy Lisenbee, LuAn Lisenbee, Linda Sanders, Pat Phillips, and Deanna Parrack; grandchildren:    Victoria Choate, Alex Halfacre, Maritza Brand, LeeAnn McNutt, Kade McNutt, Tagein  Halfacre, Sabrina Charles, ShiAnn Charles, and D.J. Charles; and great-grandchildren:  Colton Oliver and Rylan Choate.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister:  Mary Brown.

Larry Hambrick, age 73 of Odessa, TX passed from this life at Buena Vida Nursing Home on Saturday, September 3, 2016. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, July 25, 1943 to Martin “Slim” and Lily (Whitmire) Walters. He worked in Construction for over 20 years and was previously a Paramedic in Midland, TX.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his son: Jake Hambrick of Austin, TX; daughters: Tammy Stokes of Odessa, TX, Dawn Mermis of Gardendale, TX, Kelly Shults of Odessa, TX and Tanya Welch; brother: Don Hambrick of Arizona; sister: Karla Grantham of Miles, TX; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at Acres West Funeral Chapel at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, officiated by Pastor Roy Smith.
