Maria (Gardea) Rivera, age 71, of Presidio passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. She was born Monday, April 9, 1945 in Monte Marqueño, Mpio de Ojinaga Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Emeterio and Modesta (Astorga) Gardea.
Maria enjoyed parties, camping and cook outs. She loved to swim and her family and grandbabies meant the world to her. She was a big jokester and loved teasing everyone. Just a few days before her passing, she was telling everyone in the hospital that she wanted taquitos, asado and asadero cheese. Maria always helped everyone and had a heart of gold.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband, Severiano Rivera of Presidio, two sons, Victor Rivera and wife Miria of Presidio, Jorge Rivera and wife Rosario of Odessa; one daughter, Lucy Rivera de Ramirez and husband, Jesus of Odessa. She also leaves behind 5 brothers; Hector, Antonio and Juan all of Wichita Falls and Reyes and Francisco both or Ojinaga, Mexico; two sisters: Elia of Wichita Falls and Margarita of Roswell, NM as well as seven grandchildren.
Maria will be laid to rest in Jardines de San Jose in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Kevin Roy Harden, age 53, of Odessa, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Monday, October 10, 2016. He was born in Odessa on August 23, 1963 to William Lewis Harden, Jr. and the late Lois Marie (Latch) Harden. He worked as a carpet cleaner.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Leisa Joann (Bell) Harden of Odessa; father: William Harden, Jr. of Llano; sons; Kevin Ryan Harden and Aaron Roy Harden, both of Odessa; daughter: Bethany Ashton Harden of Odessa; brothers: Lewis Harden and wife Jacque of Odessa and Steve Harden of Kerrville; sisters: Deborah Simmons and husband Roger of Llano and Lori Yochum and husband Owen of Greenwood; grandson: William Joseph Harden Stewart of Odessa; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Lewis Harden. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West.

Pedro Chavez Balvaneda, age 85, of Odessa, TX passed from this life
at Medical Center Hospital on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. He was
born in Durango, Durango Mexico on March 22, 1931 to the late
Santos and Candelaria (Balvaneda) Chavez. He married Eva Bustamante
in Odessa, TX on July 9, 1981.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Eva Bustamante Chavez of Odessa, TX; son: Ruben Chavez and wife Maria of Odessa, TX; three daughters: Candelaria Garcia and husband Candelario of Odessa, TX, Pola Chavez of Phoenix, AZ and Imelda Chavez and husband Edmundo Barraza of Ft. Worth, TX; 21 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Friday October 14, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Judy Faye Drinkard, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She was born in Midland, TX on Wednesday, February 19, 1941 to Walter and Mildred (Garrett) Whitmore.
Judy married Wendell D. Drinkard in Odessa in September of 1958. They would have celebrated 58 years together this year, had Wendell not preceded Judy in death in May. They were members of Faith Community Baptist Church and had been a long time part of the community here in Odessa.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her sons: Mark Drinkard of Alamogordo, NM and Eric Drinkard of Odessa; sister: Sharon Miller and husband Billy of Arlington, TX; grandchildren: Lauren Drinkard of Ft. Worth and Jacob Drinkard of Las Vegas, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband, Wendell
The family will receive friends at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Friday evening from 6 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Faith Community Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Wayne Shelton. Interment will follow at Odessa Garden II of Ector County Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Lucky Rainbows passed away in Odessa on October 13, 2016 at the age
of 72. He was born in Annapolis, MD on July 9, 1944 to the late
Paul Walter Rosemark, Sr. and Katherine Marie (Staley) Rosemark. He
retired from a career in the military at a Master at Arms 1st Class
for the US Navy in 1989 after 20 years of service.
Graveside memorial services with military honors will be at the Texas State Veterans' Cemetery at Abilene at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.

Howard Edward Dean, age 57 of Odessa, TX passed from this life at his residence on Friday, October 14, 2016. He was born Wednesday, March 25, 1959 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to Eunice Elaine (Erickson) and Dale Dean. Howard started life loving to pick on people. He loved the outdoors, fishing, classic cars, motorcycles and watching “Howard the Duck”. Howard thought the world of his kids and grandkids. He was a good friend to all and loved his wife dearly. Her passing in 2003 was devastating to him.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Debbie Wheeler, brother: Paul Pace and sister: Patricia Jean Pace.

Arval Walker, age 69, of Big Spring, passed away at Medical Center Hospital of Odessa on Sunday, October 16, 2016. He was born in Roscoe, TX to the late Edd and Nora (Kidd) Walker on April 28, 1947. He was a member of the National Guard and had worked for Superior Electric (WESCO) for 30 years.
Arval is survived by his son: James Walker and wife Shelly of Dallas; daughters: Jeanie Jones and husband Patrick of Dallas and Jennifer Hilton of San Antonio; two sisters: Jan Baldwin of San Antonio and Sandy Hudson and husband Gary of Paris, AR; three nieces: Cheryl Hudson, Nora Hudson, and Karen Brown; and two nephews: Jesse Dickens and Jeff Dickens; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
His parents and one son, Robert Walker, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

On Monday, October 17, 2016, our little angel, Harley Neal Bee, was born at Odessa Regional Medical Center and quickly whisked back away to his Heavenly home.
He leaves behind his loving parents: Heather and Neal Bee; one brother: Charles Thomas; two sisters: Allyson and Kathryn Bee; maternal grandmother: Judy Thomas; and paternal grandparents: Jeannie and Leslie Bee, maternal great-grandparents: Bill and Patsy Brindle, all of Odessa; and paternal great-grandparents: Audrey and Lawrence Peterson of Brownwood.
His grandfather, Charles Thomas, preceded him in death.
