|Terry Morris Cawley|
Terry Morris Cawley, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded with love on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Terry was born on October 21, 1945 in Levelland, Texas to J.L. And Lorene Vernell (Abshire) Cawley. He grew up in Midkiff along with his 4 other siblings, and went to school in Rankin. On February 8, 1967, he married his loving wife Judith Marie Schneider in Rapid City, SD. Although they were anticipating celebrating their 50th anniversary this year with their anniversary mini pancakes, we will devour them in his honor.
Terry was a man of many trades from a roughneck to a business man to a professional storyteller. Terry and his brothers started an ambulance service, he was the owner of Colorado Gulf, and Production Engine and Field Service. He would "do anything to make a dollar". He had a love for guns, antique cars, and racing. He spent unforgettable weekends at the Penwell Dirtbowl Speedway. Anyone around him for very long knew that he always had a story to tell and you were guaranteed a good laugh, while questioning the validity of the story. He enjoyed making others laugh and the finer things in life. Most importantly, he loved every person that he ever met, and he was well respected by them. He was the most generous and admirable man around, he would often give to those in need even if he didn't have it. As a devoted and loving family man, his family was "the apple of his eye".
Terry was preceded to his heavenly home by his parents: J.L. And Lorene Cawley; his sister: Mildred Cawley; his brothers: Nathan Gale "Nate" Cawley, James Wade "Jim" Cawley, Billy Ray Cawley, and Wayne Lee "Slim" Cawley; and a beloved grandson: Hilton Dean Goff.
To keep his memory alive, he leaves behind his doting wife: Judy Cawley; daughters: Sissy Goff and husband Benny of Iraan, and Terri Renee Penegar and husband John of Odessa; son: Daniel Allen of Odessa; and five grandchildren: Ashley Kaehler and husband Gary, Justin Cawley, Jonathan Penegar, Kristen Penegar, and Austin Allen.

Interment will follow at American Heritage Cemetery in Midland County. Pallbearers will include: Gary Gardenhire, Kenneth Abbott, Coby Duncan, Rowdy James, Gary Pitts, Troy Chesnut, Jerry Tucker, and Scott Thane.
