Elva Hernandez de Galindo, 76, of Odessa, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at her home in Odessa. She was born Friday, March 28, 1941 in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Manuel and Eldifonza (Galindo) Hernandez. She was a homemaker.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her sons: Ignacio Galindo and Arturo Galindo, both of Presidio, Pablo Galindo Jr. of Mexico and Reynaldo Galindo of Odessa; daughters: Chela Padilla of Presidio, Yolanda Coria of Odessa, Elida Garcia of Mexico, Dara E. Gonzalez and Maria Elsi Galindo both of Odessa, Lupe Gonzalez of Wilcox, AZ, and Sandra Galindo of Mexico; five brothers; three sisters; thirty-four grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Pablo Galindo; and one son: Oscar Galindo.
Funeral services will be at a later date in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico with burial to follow at Jardines de San Jose. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Jesus Natividad Rodriguez Contreras, age 72, of Odessa, passed away suddenly as a result of an auto accident on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. He was born in Canada Ancha, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on December 25, 1944 to the late Cristoval Rodriguez and Maria de Jesus Contreras Sotelo de Rodriguez.
Jesus was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Socorro Rodriguez; daughter: Yarabril Rodriguez, and sister: Maria Acosta.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his sons: Hector Rodriguez, Jesusin Rodriguez, Tito Rodriguez, and Gerardo Rodriguez; brothers: Antonio Rodriguez, Noe Rodriguez, and Guerro Rodriguez; sisters: Socorro Ramirez and Angela Rodriguez; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at a later date in Canada Ancha. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa and Funeraria de Valle in Ojinaga.

Douglas Edward Paup passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on November 17, 1964 in Monahans, TX to Don and Martha Paup.
Doug retired from TxDot after 31 years of service. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and motorcycle enthusiast. He had an abundant zest for life.
He is survived by his wife: Jody Paup; children: Jon Paup, Jennifer Belt and Melissa Walker; parents: Don and Martha Paup; sisters: Peppi Loony and husband Kirk, Charlotte Lee and husband Conrad; grandchildren: Brody Belt, Olivia Mosley, Reese Paup, Keely Paup, Tyler Deleon, Tanner Deleon, and Katlyn Deleon.
He was preceded in death one brother: David Paup.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 am Friday, April 7, 2017, at American Heritage Cemetery, 4100 N. FM 1788, Midland County, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Braswell. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his TxDot coworkers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
Funeral services are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Frances Marie (Miller) Miles, age 83, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at her residence on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. She was born in Oklahoma on Sunday, January 21, 1934 to the late James Foster and Estelle (Hobson) Miller.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her son: Rodney Miles of Odessa; daughter: Dian Worster and husband Jerry of Odessa and Lana Miles of Odessa; 12 grandchildren: Sabrina, Kenda, Jason, David, Tara, Willie, Ian, Ashley, LeAna, Evan, Kathy and Rhys; as well as 15 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Jack Earnest Miles; grandson: Christian; son: Charles “Buster” Dameron; two brothers and three sisters.

Martha Moore, age 72, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Sonora, TX on Wednesday, May 3, 1944 to the late William and Lois (Williams) Chancy.
Mom enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, painting and reading.
Those left to cherish her love and memories are her son: Billy Carson of Odessa; daughters: Robin Bennett (Mark) of Odessa, Shannon Helmstetler (Salvador Castillon) of Odessa and Johnna Helmstetler (Beth Jacoby) of Fort Meyers; brothers: Jerry Chancy, James Chancy, Leslie Chancy, Walter Hicks and Charles Hicks; sisters: Brenda Vaughn and Velva McKee; as well as 5 grandchildren: David Chandler, Jade Gray, Jeremy Stevens, Casey Gray and Holly Herford and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mom was preceded in death by her mother (4-7-2016) and husband, Denton Helmstetler (11-23-1970). We are all comforted knowing that as she enters Heaven, she will be greeted by her mom and husband who she loved dearly. Her brother, Timothy Evans and sister, Joyce Chancy also precedes her in death.

Maria Concepcion Becerra Nunez, 87 years of age, passed away on April 7, 2017 in Odessa, Texas. She was born on October, 26, 1929, in San Benito, Texas. She was the second of seven children born to Manuel Becerra and Guadalupe Luna.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years: Raul N. Nunez, Sr.; her son, Raul Nunez, Jr.; her daughter Maria Alicia Nunez and her grandson, J.J. Nunez.
She is survived by daughters, Lucy Nunez of Andrews, Texas, and Connie Galan of Midland, Texas; sons, Joe, David, Steven, Edward, Bobby and Conrad Nunez, all of Odessa, Texas; brothers Frank Becerra and Meme Becerra of San Benito Texas; grandchildren, Andy Nunez, Chris Nunez, Raul Nunez, Stephanie Nunez-Fuqua, Jacob Nunez, James Nunez, Marlene Skidmore, Steven Spain, Vincent Nunez, Bobby Joe Nunez, Catherine Nunez, Michael Cornejo, Zack Cornejo, Michelle Gray, Victor Nunez and numerous great-grandchildren.
She spent most of her young adulthood living in San Benito, Texas. Later in her life, she lived in Andrews, Texas, where she worked in her home, taking care of her children and grandchildren. The latter part of her life was spent in Odessa, Texas, and Andrews, Texas. She was a woman of great faith and a devout Catholic. She enjoyed reading novels, working on puzzles, cooking, playing board games and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A prayer service and rosary will be held on Monday April 10, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Acres West Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 11, 2017 St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Andy Nunez, Chris Nunez, James Nunez, Vincent Nunez, Zachery Cornejo, Michael Cornejo, Raul Nunez and Bobby Joe Nunez.

Aubrey "Buddy" Lee McDuffee, age 73, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Friday, April 7, 2017. He was born on Monday, May 10, 1943 in San Rafael, California to the late Ernest Lee and Winnie Mae (Moellering) McDuffee.
Buddy was a rough and tough man. He was stern but had a big heart. You would never hear a bad word about him. Buddy worked as a tool pusher and leader in the oil field. He was a man's man and loved fishing and running trout lines. Buddy was a mechanical genius and ran McDuffee Well Service from 1977 to 1988. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his beloved wife of 11 years: Yvonne McDuffee of Odessa; sons: Allen McDuffee, Tony McDuffee and wife Misty, Chris McDuffee and Ricky McDuffee; daughters: Angela Pullen and Melissa McDuffee; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Winnie Mae McDuffee; sons: Jimmy and Kenneth McDuffee and sister: Audrey McDuffee.

Robert Norvil Williams, Jr. of Monahans, passed away at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX on Monday April 10, 2017. He was born in La Jolla, CA on June 20, 1971 to Kathy Mann and the late Robert Williams. Sr. Robert was a lifelong truck driver.
Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Susan (Bryan) Williams; mother: Kathy Mann; two sons: Aaron Bryan and Travis Bryan; daughter: Holley Westerman; and sisters: Jennifer Mann and husband Donnie, Barbara Mann and husband David, all of Monahans. His cousin: "Nikkie" Howard and husband Damon of Summerall, MS and four grandchildren also survive him.
A Celebration of Life, with stories and a meal will be at 2:00 pm at the Pyote Community Center in Pyote, TX on Sunday, April 30, 2017, officiated by Brothers Gordon Cox and Mike Dennis.

Lena Marie Stringer, age 81, of Odessa passed from this life and into eternity on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. She began her earthly journey on June 25, 1935 in Hermleigh, Texas, born to the late Jesse Lawrence and Edna Katherine (Turner) Campbell. Lena married Burton Roe Stringer, Jr. in Snyder on September 23, 1953 and they enjoyed 38 years together before being separated by his death November 19, 1991. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper.
Lena is survived by her children; two sons: Burton Stringer III of Midland and Don Stringer and wife Shawn of Odessa; daughters: Elizabeth Murray and husband Bill of Odessa and Vickie Schwartz and husband Jerry of Wolfforth; two sisters: Mary Echeverria and Margie Campbell, both of Odessa; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and one more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother-in-law, Nick Echeverria.
The family will receive friends at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, April 14, 2017 at West University Church of Christ, officiated by David Valencia. Interment follows at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
