Andy Rios Ortiz, age 47, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Monday, July 3, 2017. He was born in San Angelo, TX on February 6, 1970 to the late Jesse Rodriguez Ortiz and Sylvia Rios Trinidad.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his beloved wife: Debra Ortiz; son: Isaak Ortiz; daughter: Mariah Llanez; brother: Tereso Ortiz (Popeye); sisters: Leticia, Lillian Zamarron, Susie Ortiz (Tutu) and Sandy Ortiz (Nana) and grandchildren: Mariposa and Christian Zocher.

Cain Costilla, age 32, of Odessa passed away in Reeves County in a fatal car accident. He was born in Odessa on July 20, 1984 to Alfonso and Jovita (Torres) Costilla.  He was an OHS graduate and had worked as a driller for H&P and Lariat.  Cain married Lacie Houser in Odessa February 19, 2007.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife:  Lacie Costilla of Odessa; father:  Alfonso Costilla of Odessa; mother:  Jovita Costilla of Odessa; mother-in-law:  Donna Dollar and husband Jeffrey; fathers-in-law:  Lonnie McKinney and Bubba Busch; maternal grandmother:  Rosa Torres; sons:  AJ Costilla and Jordan Costilla of Odessa; two brothers:  Alfonso Costilla Jr. and Eli Costilla of Odessa; sister:  Maria Costilla of Odessa; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents:  Meliton and Vicenta Costilla; aunt:  Cruz Aldava; maternal grandfather:  Aureliano Torres; and brother-in-law:  Derick Busch.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 10, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Fr. Joe Uecker and Pastor Cliff DeArmond. Interment follows at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to a memorial fund for Cain's sons would be appreciated.  An account has been set up at Wells Fargo under "Costilla Boys" account number 3201444407.

Gilbert Cobos Espinosa, 53, of Alpine, TX passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in Midland, TX. He was born Sunday, April 19, 1964 in Alpine, TX to Cruz and Francis (Cobos) Espinosa.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Elia Espinosa; son: Michael Espinosa; daughters: Ruth Rivera (Johnathon) and Adriana Espinosa; brother: Carlos Espinosa; sisters: Virginia Rios and Linda Zubia; 4 grandchildren: Johnathon Rivera Jr., Enrique and Mireya Rivera and Maicruz Espinosa.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace in Alpine, TX. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 10, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace in Alpine, TX. Burial will follow at Holy Angeles Cemetery in Alpine, TX. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Enrique Ramos Galindo, age 58, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. He was born Sunday, July 13, 1958 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, MX to the late Francisca (Galindo) and Santiago Ramos. Enrique was a loving and caring husband and father. He was responsible and hardworking. Enrique was also funny, intelligent and creative. He had loveable characteristics, for example he always had a sweet tooth, loved scratch off tickets and watching Mexican soccer and telenovelas.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his beloved wife: Angelica Ramos; six daughters: Milly Reyes and spouse Joshua Reyes, Edith Ramirez and spouse Eric Ramirez, Ruby Ramos, Laura Ramos, Jessica Ramos and Jennifer Ramos; one brother: Octavio G. Ramos; one aunt who was like a mother to him: Andrea Ramos and three grandchildren: Ayleen Isel Ramirez, Angel Cecil Ramirez and Asher Alexander Reyes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Aurelio G. Ramos.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Amber Kaye Gunter

Amber Kaye Gunter, age 18, of Odessa passed away suddenly in a fatal car accident in Monahans, TX on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.  She was born in Odessa on January 15, 1999 to Albert Brown and Linda Gunter.  She was a 2017 graduate of Permian High School.  Amber loved school and participated in everything.  She truly loved to learn and had been in the AVID program.  All of her teachers loved her.  Knowing that continuing education would make her family proud, she was about to start classes at OC. Her aspirations included becoming a physical therapist, so that she could help others.

Amber was energetic, had a bubbly personality and was always happy.  She always looked for the good in others and treated everyone like family. 

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her best friend and mother: Linda Gunter; father:  Albert Brown (She was a real Daddy's girl!); paternal grandparents:  Albert and Corina Brown; brothers:  Noah Gunter, Caleb Gunter, and Luis Pippin; sisters:  Elaine Gunter and Paige Llanez; uncles:  Wade Gunter, David Gunter and Martin Brown; aunts:  Maryann Brown and Betty Brown, as well as Numerous nieces and nephews that she loved so much.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother: Darlene Gunter.

Funeral services will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 10:00 am, officiated by Brother Robert Bratcher.  Interment follows at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West.

Jeff Fitzgerald Quinn, age 49, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. He was born in Odessa, TX on May 4, 1968 to Jim and Judy McCain (Quinn).

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his parents: Jim and Judy Quinn; sons: Trace Gamboa of Odessa; daughters: Tiffany Quinn of Odessa, Kassie Everett of Stephenville and Dakota Quinn of Modesto, CA; brothers: Jason Quinn of Odessa, John Cole of The Woodlands and Donovan Cole of Odessa; as well as 2 grandchildren.

Joe Russell Oliver, age 75, passed away at his home in Odessa on Friday, July 7, 2017.  He was born in Priddy, TX on Thursday, February 26, 1942 to Russell and Bertha Sue (Glasscock) Oliver.  He married the love of his life, Betty Sue Claborn in Kermit, TX on November 22, 1965.  She preceded him to their heavenly home on September 10, 2011 after 46 years together here on earth. He was a member of Faith Community Baptist Church. 

Joe was self employed in the oilfield and was a great business man.  He was always involved with his kids activities and was a referee for Little Dribblers in Kermit for many years.  He had a huge heart and was always kind to everyone. He set aside time every day for prayers and loved God.  He was a devoted husband, loving father and Papa, and a fine Christian man.  

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his son:  Michael "Mike" Oliver and wife Jutta of Graford; daughter:  Kay Hasson and husband Trevor of Lufkin; sister:  Sue Ann Flinn of Sonora; brothers-in-law:  Bobby Claborn and Kenneth Claborn and wife Debby; sister-in-law:  Beverly Holt and husband Brad; grandchildren:  Micah Morrison, Jessica Rodriguez, Lyla Oliver, Seth Oliver, and Weston Hasson; and one great-grandchild:  Izabella Hasson.

His parents, his beloved wife, Betty, and one brother:  Bill Oliver, precede him in death.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Faith Community Baptist Church,  9902 W. University Blvd in Odessa at 11:00 am.  Brother Wayne Shelton will officiate.  Joe will be interred next to Betty Sue in Kermit, TX at Kermit Cemetery at 1:00 pm.

Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Faith Community Baptist Church would be appreciated.

Gordon Lee Hawkins, age 71, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Sunday, July 9, 2017. He was born in Graham, TX on Monday, December 31, 1945 to the late J. G. "Jacob" Hawkins and Luetta (Slate) Hawkins.  He worked in the oilfield and in construction.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his step children:  Roland Colclasure, Billie Jones, and Rhonda Cannon, all of Odessa; brothers:  Otis Hawkins of Oklahoma and David Hawkins of Odessa; uncle:  Bill Hawkins of Abilene; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife:  Wilma Hawkins; sister:  Margarita Klein; and uncles:  Texas James Hawkins and Gene Hawkins.

Wilma Deanne Hawkins, age 76, of Odessa, TX passed from this life at Medical Center Hospital on Friday, February 17, 2017. She was born in Flora, IL on Saturday, May 11, 1940 to the late William Austin and Ella Irene (Thompson) Loveland.  She was a homemaker, beloved wife, mother, aunt and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband of 50 years: Gordon Hawkins; daughters: Billie Jones and Rhonda Canon; son:  Roland Colclasure; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

Zella “Zee” Faye Lippe, age 55, of Odessa, TX, passed from this life on Sunday, July 9, 2017. She was born in Odessa, TX on Saturday, December 2, 1961 to the late Joy Duane and Janie Marie (Parsons) Reynolds.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her beloved husband: Mike Lippe of Odessa, TX; daughters: Janie Pini of Saint Jo, TX and Adon George of Oklahoma City, OK; brother: Duane Reynolds of Alaska; sisters: Lori Reynolds of Colorado and Bobbie Daniel of Amarillo, TX; as well as one grandchild: Vincent George.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Whitney, Diana and Marie; granddaughter: Naomi and one great niece: Kelsey Burden.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Stonegate Fellowship in Midland, TX. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Francisco Chavez, age 86, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. He was born in Candelaria, TX on Friday, October 10, 1930 to the late Teofilo and Henriquetta (Sartuche) Chavez.

Francisco was a foreman for Key Enterprises in Odessa, TX. He was also a rancher and a hard worker that provided for his family. Francisco enjoyed horseback riding, roping and spending time with his family and friends. He was loved and adored by his family, especially his grandchildren. He will truly be missed.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his beloved wife: Corina Chavez of Odessa, TX; sons: Ismael Martinez (Junior), Christopher Martinez, Benjamin Levario, Osbaldo Chavez and Omar Chavez; daughters: Debra K Levario, Corina Martinez, Anna Martinez and Ophelia Chavez; brothers: Pedro Chavez and Abel Gomez Chavez; sisters: Rosa Chavez Mendoza and Maria Chavez Del Cerio; as well as numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Juan Chavez, Juanita Chavez Ortiz, Donessia Chavez Nunez, Francisco Chavez, Ricardo Chavez, Petra Chavez Porras, Miguel Chavez, Elias Chavez, Mary Hassel, and Fermina Chavez Ortiz.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Acres West 24 Hour Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Odessa Garden II section of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
