Lisa Ann Wyatt, age 37, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Thursday, July 18, 2017. She was born in Brea, CA on December 8, 1979 to Mike Roger Wyatt and the late Tracy Ann Harrison Wyatt.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her beloved husband: Albert Velez; sons: Jerome Pearlman and Josiah Velez; daughter: Ashley Wyatt; father:  Mike Wyatt; grandmother: Margaret Harrison; and sister: Amy Faye.

She was preceded in death by her mother:  Tracy Wyatt; grandfather: Clerance B. Harrison; and brother: David Wyatt.

Arnaldo Carrasco
Arnaldo B. Carrasco

Arnaldo B. Carrasco, age 46, of Odessa, passed away in Odessa on Saturday, July 22, 2017.  He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on August 30, 1970 to the late Arnaldo Carrasco Aranda and Eva (Briones) Carrasco.  He married Elsa Ibel Estrada in Ojinaga on December 18, 1993 and they had two children. He was a welder and had worked for the past year for Saulsbury.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife:  Elsa Carrasco; children:  Arnaldo Carrasco III and Ingrid Carrasco; one brother and four sisters:  Victor Carrasco, Mary Quiñonez, Betty Bejarano, and Gabby Sánchez and Marita Ramirez, with their spouses and families; Maria Luisa and Efrain Estrada, mother and father-in-law; and brothers-in-law: Edgar Estrada, Irving Estrada, and Jorge Estrada, with their spouses and families.

Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening, July 26, 2017 at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel beginning at 7:00 pm.  Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiated by Fr. Frank Chavez.  Interment follows at Odessa Garden II of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
Julia Romero 2017
Julia Romero

Julia Romero, age 64, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at her home.  She was born in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico on June 15, 1953 to Marcos Alvarado Ramirez and Hermila Marrufo Salais.  She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her husband:  Hermenejildo Romero; three sons:  David Romero, Aaron Romero and Lee Romero; daughter:  Yadira I. Villa; brothers:  Luis Alvarado, Marcos Alvarado and Juan Alvarado; sisters:  Angelica Cepeda, Carmela Alvarado and Olivia Vasquez; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at Acres West Funeral Chapel Thursday evening, July 27, 2017 beginning at 7:00 pm.  Funeral mass will be 10:00 am Friday, July 28, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, officiated by Father Juan Cortez.

Margarita Lujan Salinas

Margarita Lujan Salinas, age 61, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Sunday, July 23, 2017. She was born in Ojinaga, Mexico on November 20, 1955 to the late Luis Lujan and Maria Nunez. She married Geronimo Salinas in Mexico in January 7, 1978.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her beloved husband of 39 years: Geronimo Salinas of Odessa; son: Rudy Salinas (Ariana) of Odessa; daughter: Carla Marroquin (Eliud) of Odessa; brothers: Francisco Lujan of Ojinaga, Artemio Lujan of Odessa and Antonio Lujan of Odessa; sister; Arcelia Sotelo and Estellia Galindo, both of Odessa; as well as 5 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Rebecca Salinas; brothers: Rosendo and Roberto Lujan and sisters: Rosa Lujan, Maria Luisa Pando and Rosa Elva Rodriguez.

Prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Asamblea Apostolica De La Fe En Cristo Jesus. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Asamblea Apostolica De La Fe En Cristo Jesus. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill section of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Betty Lynn Jones

Betty Lynn Jones, 66, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Odessa, TX. She was born Tuesday, August 29, 1950 in San Angelo, TX to the late Betty (Barnes) and Lynn Jones.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her daughter: Angela Wright of Austin, TX and her sister: Alicia Voigt of Cleburne, TX; and her best friend: Pat Rodriguez of Odessa, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother: Floyd Townsend.

Funeral services have not been set at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

Gaspar Granados
Gaspar "Pachin" Granados

Gaspar "Pachin" Granados, age 62, of Odessa, passed away at Continue Care Hospital at MCH in Odessa on Monday, July 24, 2017.  He was born December 25, 1954 to the late Paulino and Guadalupe (Garcia) Granados in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua, Mexico.  He worked for F&W for 25 years in sandblasting.

He is survived by his sons:  Noel Granados and wife Linda and Gilberto Granados; daughters:  Nuvia Granados and husband Carlos Perez and Lluvia Ramos and husband Arny; two brothers:  Gustavo and Manuel Granados; sisters: Delma Galindo and husband Carlos, Martha Carrasco and husband Carlos, Nancy Nieto and husband Humberto, Tere Bueno and husband Jaime; and seven grandchildren.

His parents and one sister, Manuela Lujan, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at Iglesia Bautista El Mesias, 610 Royalty Avenue, Odessa, TX at 12 noon on Thursday, July 27, 2017, officiated by Reverend Juan Gaona.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and Crematory.

The family extends special thanks to the doctors and staff of Continue Care Hospital at MCH.

Julian Calanche 2017
Julian Calanche

Julian Calanche, age 84, of Odessa passed away at Deerings Nursing and Rehabilitation on  Monday, July 24, 2017.  He was born in La Mora, Mpo de Villa Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico on January 28, 1933 to the late Luciano and Silveria (Olivas) Calanche.  He married Andrea Nieto in Mexico in May of 1953 and they enjoyed 57 years together before separated by her death November 24, 2010.  He was a Catholic and was a rancher.

He is survived by four daughters:  Socorro Valencia of Odessa, Romana Calanche of Odessa, Gloria Quinonez of Gonzales, LA, and Leticia Medrano of Odessa, two sons:  Ciro Calanche and Martin Calanche, both of Odessa; brother: Teodoro Calanche of Mexico; sister:  Ramona Montoya; twenty-five grandchildren; and fifty-seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.      

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Andrea Nieto Calanche, son: Mario Calanche, sisters:  Isabel Garcia, Flora Calanche, Romana Calanche and Felicitas Muela; and parents:  Luciano and Silveria Calanche.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel.  Funeral services will be at the 24 Hour Chapel also at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 28, 2017, officiated by Father Joe Uecker.  Interment will be at Rose Hill Garden of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd, Odessa, Texas.

Manuel Salazar
Manuel Salazar Bermudez

Manuel Salazar Bermudez, age 85, of Andrews, passed away at Permian Residential Care Center on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.  He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on May 27, 1932 to the late Teodoso Salazar Torres and Casilda Bermudez Talavera de Salazar.  He was a landscaper.

Manuel is survived by a large number of loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at a later date in Mexico with burial to follow at El Ultimo Adios.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel in Odessa and Funeraria de Valle in Ojinaga.

Ramona Jimenez

Ramona Jimenez, age 73, of Odessa, TX, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. She was born in Pecos, TX on Tuesday, August 31, 1943 to the late Benardino and Elena (Alvillar) Mora.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband: Enrique Flores Jimenez; sons: Carlos Jimenez; daughters: Diana Fuentez, Angie Nunez and Nora Jimenez; grandchildren: Jose Antonio Fuentez, Hector Jr, Israel, Timothy and Leonardo Jasso, Amy Baeza, Jacob, Joshua and Emily Jimenez; great-grandchildren: Adam Minjarez Jr., Lauren Cano, Anthony Gage Fuentez, Ivan William Mungia, JuanAdan, Missy Prieto, Evan and Daniel Baeza, Emily Jasso, Zianna, Evan and Giovanni Jasso.

She was preceded in death by her son: Joe Rey Nunez; parents: Benardino and Elena (Alvillar) Mora; brothers: Luis Mora and Manuel Mora; sisters: Mary Castro and Delma Mosby and grandchildren: Adam Minjarez, Ramona Vidales and Athan Jasso.

Prayer services will be held at 7:30 pm, Saturday, July 29, 2017 and Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 31, 2017 at Acres West 24 Hour Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Joel Torres. Burial will follow at the Odessa Garden II section of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

David Mendez 2017
David Mendez

David Mendez, 35, of Odessa, was taken suddenly to his Heavenly home on Thursday, July 27, 2017 as a result of a car accident in Midland county.  He began his earthly journey in Odessa  on April 15, 1982, one of three sons born to Jorge and Guadalupe (Hernandez) Mendez.  He married Heidi Lujan in Odessa on January 9, 2004.  David worked as an oilfield mechanic.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Heidi Mendez; daughter:  Biridiana Mendez; parents:  Jorge and Lupita Mendez; maternal grandmother: Lupe Hernandez; parents-in-law:  Francisco and Maria Lujan; brothers:  Jorge Luis Mendez and Raul Mendez; all of Odessa.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.  Interment will follow at Odessa Garden II of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
