Daniel Lopez

Daniel Lopez, 73, of Odessa, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Odessa, TX. He was born Friday, July 21, 1944 to Catalino and Cruz (Castillo) Lopez.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his son: Daniel Lopez and wife Laura of Odessa, TX and grandchildren: Freddy Young and wife Jessie and Alejandro Daniel Lopez, both of Odessa, TX.

Viewing will be held from 3 - 9:00 pm, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Lawrence Ray Beasley

Lawrence Ray Beasley, age 73, of Wink, TX passed away at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX on Thursday, September 14, 2017.  He was born in Rusk, TX on December 16, 1943 to Charlie and Willie Mae (Berry) Beasley.  He worked in construction and was a US Army and Texas National Guard veteran.

Ray is survived by his sons:  Tim Beasley of Missouri and Terry Beasley of Wink; daughters:  Shannon Beasley of Missouri and Cynthia Beasley of Oklahoma; brothers:  Jack Berry and wife Naomi of Sardis, TX and Charles Beasley of Rusk, TX; sister:  Nell Grimes of Spring, TX; ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services will be privately held in Sardis, TX.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa. 

Andres G Baeza 2017
Andres Guardiola Baeza

Andres Guardiola Baeza, age 60, of Odessa, passed away at Odessa Regional Medical Center on Friday, September 15, 2017.  He was born in El Mulato, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on Saturday, November 10, 1956 to Santiago Baeza Flores and the late Manuela (Guardiola) Lujan.  He worked as an insulator.

Andres moved to the US from Mexico at the age of 16, working to help support his family.  He was a hard worker with a strong work ethic.  He was a loving son, father, and grandfather.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his father:  Santiago Baeza; daughter:  Patricia Baeza Garcia and husband Daniel; four sons:  Andres Baeza Jr., Santiago "Jimmy" Baeza and wife Cathy, Eddie Baeza, and Joel Baeza and wife Isella; three brothers:  Alberto Baeza, Manuel Baeza, and Ervey Baeza; five sisters:  Alicia Torres, Josefina Rios, Aurelia Muniz, Veronica Baeza and Juana Rosales; twenty-two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

Rosary will be recited at Acres West Funeral Chapel at 7:00 pm on Monday, September 18, 2017.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Interment follows at Odessa II Garden of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Guadalupe Ortiz de Minjarez

Guadalupe Ortiz de Minjarez, age 78, of Odessa, passed away in Gardendale on Friday, September 15, 2017.  She was born in Barrenitas, Maijoma, Chihuahua, Mexico on Monday, December 12, 1938 to the late Heriberto Ortiz Gallegos and Sara Marquez Garcia de Ortiz. 

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her sons:  Fidel Lujan and wife Irene and David Lujan and wife Mary E. all of Odessa; daughter:  Hortencia Minjarez and husband David of Gardendale; brothers:  Laurencio Ortiz of Odessa and Jesus Maria Ortiz and wife Oralia of Mexico; sisters: Constancia Ortiz and Genovea Ortiz-Alcontara, both of Presidio; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Felipe Molinar.  Interment follows at Odessa II Gardens of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Jean Oden Kilpatrick
Jean Oden-Kilpatrick

Lillie Jean Oden - Kilpatrick, age 80, of Odessa, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 17, 2017.  She was born in Hamburg, AR on Monday, January 4, 1937 to the late Carl and Lena Stewart.  Jean loved to share her faith and was the pastor at Full Gospel Covenant Church since 1982.   She married Pastor Jack  A. Oden in Odessa July 25, 1980 and they served the church together until his death on December 8, 2005.  Jean later married Tom Kilpatrick in Odessa on August 11, 2012. 

Those left to carry on her legacy are her husband:  Tom Kilpatrick; daughters:  Teresa Purdom, Tamara Hawkins, and Christi Fraley and husband Tom; son:  Ronald Potts and wife Ronda; brother:  Derwood A. Stewart and wife Linda; sisters:  Betty Jo Quackenbush and husband Howard, Delaris Peacock and husband Robin, Rose Bradford, and Fonda Matthews and husband Johnny; nineteen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, daughter:  Cynthia Hibdon; and sister:  Rita Bodecker.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Full Gospel Covenant Church, 7500 West 10th Street, Odessa, TX at 10:00 am.  Burial will be in Sweetwater, TX at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel of Odessa.

Charles Anthony “Tony” Testerment, age 52, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Sunday, September 17, 2017. He was born in West Jefferson, North Carolina on September 23, 1964 to Charles H. Testerment and Lois Johnson. Charles was a teacher for ECISD and MISD.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his parents: Charles H. Testerment of Odessa, TX and Lois Evans of North Wilkesboro, NC and sister: Rebecca.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Randy Testerment.

Mary Elizabeth Ward

Mary Elizabeth Ward, age 70, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Sunday, September 17, 2017. She was born in San Angelo, TX on March 13, 1947 to the late Willard and Mary Ivey.

Beth or Granny, as family called her, was a fascinating lady. She was a great story teller and loved to share the stories of her life. Beth was a hairdresser for many years and owned one of the first wig salons in Texas, back when wigs were the big thing. She was the life of any party and would let everyone know exactly what she was thinking.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her son: Troy Jerald “T.J.” Ward and wife April and grandchildren: Ivey, Macey and Abbey

Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, September 22, 2017 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Bartlett. Burial will be held at 4:30 pm following the service at Fairview Cemetery in Bronte, TX. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Thomas Nail, age 77, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He was born in Ranger, TX on May 3, 1940 to the late John Thomas and Mildred (Doreen) Nail. 

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his sons: Thomas Allen Nail Jr. and Jimmy Carl Nail; daughter: Melinda Kay Nail; brother: Johnny Mack Nail; as well as grandchildren: Elisha Kristine Ramirez and husband Rocky, Jessica Thomas, Tiffany Biddle and husband Paul and Dustyn Huff and Jenny Molina and great-grandchildren: Jessica Marie Ramirez and Anthony and Arianna Biddle.

Anna Marie (Hitt) Pfingsten, age 47, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. She was born in Baytown, TX on Monday, May 4, 1970.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her beloved husband: Rick Pfingsten of Odessa; sons: Christopher Charles Pfingsten and Andrew Wesley Pfingsten, both of Odessa; mother: Mary Arnold of Odessa; brothers: Jesse James Hitt II of Odessa and Billy Wayne Arnold of Pleasanton, TX; sisters: Cynthia Patterson and Paula Owens, both of Odessa; as well as grandchildren: Dusty Jean Marie Pfingsten, Harper Gayle Pfingsten, Gabriel Howard Pfingsten and Kaiden Mikal Pfingsten.

Doris Jean Brown, age 81, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Thursday, September 21, 2017. She was born in Saltsburg, PA on October 8, 1935 to the late William Frank and Hilma (Widing) Bressler.  Jean was a bar manager.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her sons:  Steve Brown and wife Sherry of Odessa and David Brown of Odessa; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Tom Brown, who passed away May 12, 1999; son: Donnie Brown, who passed away in 2002; one brother; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be privately held.
