Antonio Gomez, age 58, of Odessa, TX entered eternity on Monday, January 1, 2018. He was born in Odessa, TX on Friday, September 11, 1959 to Julian Pacheco and Juanita (Samaniego) Gomez.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his sons: Benjamin Lopez Jr. and Fabian Gomez; daughters: Paula James and Reba Gomez; father: Julian Pacheco Gomez; brothers: Israel Gomez, Alfred Gomez, Julian Gomez Jr., Johnny Gomez, and Joel Gomez; sisters: Alicia Garcia and Janave Neufeld; as well as grandchildren: Nikolas, Amrie, Alec, Jaslyn, Aiden, Madalyn, Madasyn, Love, Promise and Lilah and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Juanita Samaniego; brothers: Augustine Gomez, Lawrence Gomez and Julian Gomez Jr. and granddaughter: Skyla Elizabeth James.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, January 8, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Odessa Garden II section of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Barbara Susan Upchurch

Barbara Susan Upchurch, age 61, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Monday, January 1, 2018. She was born in Virginia on July 1, 1956 to Antonio and Francis Samajano.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her beloved husband: James Upchurch; son: James JR Upchurch; daughters: Jamie and Jenny Upchurch; brother: Tony Samajano; one sister and 3 grandchildren.

Gloria Maria Ibarra de Galindo

Gloria Maria Ibarra Galindo, age 76 of California, entered eternity on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.  She was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico on Saturday, April 12, 1941 to the late Pedro and Eustacia (Perez) Ibarra.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her husband:  Serapio Galindo Moreno; sons: Jose Luis Sosa, Octavio Sosa and J.R. Galindo; daughters: Nora Ibarra Sosa and Ana Realegeno; brothers: Jesus and Pedro Galindo; sisters: Elena, Carmen, Rita, Martha, Mariana, Rosario and Antonia.

A prayer service will be Thursday evening beginning at 7:00 pm at Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Odessa Garden II section of Ector County Cemetery.

Kim Ivy McCain

Kim Ivy McCain, from Odessa, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2018.  She went to OHS and lived in Odessa most of her life.  She was a loving mother, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.  She was born in Odessa, TX on Wednesday, June 24, 1959 to Charles McCain and Betty Sue (Brown) Fikes. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and papa.

She is survived by her two children:  Rocky Haney of Odessa and Michelle Hardin and husband Wes of Abilene; three amazing grandchildren:  Bailey Haney and Michael Haney of Odessa and Nicholas Silva of Abilene; two brothers:  Ricky McCain and wife Lindy of Clinton, OK and Gary Don McCain and wife Nancy of Odessa; her "Nanu" Eula Jean Eckert of Mineral Wells; long-time supportive friend:  Lou Anne Barron; along with numerous family members and friends.

Graveside Memorial Services will be on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Coahoma Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and condolences to the family may be sent online at acreswestfuneral.com.

Juanita B. Daniel
Juanita B. Daniel, age 72, of Odessa, passed from this life at Sienna Nursing and Rehabilitation on Friday, January 5, 2018. She was born in Amarillo, TX on December 25, 1945. She was a homemaker, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Juanita leaves to cherish her love and memory her daughters: Jeanette Barrera and Annette Daniel, both of Odessa; son: David Daniel, Jr. of Lubbock; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: David Daniel; parents: Vicente and Inez (Esquivel) Bargas; daughter: Kathy Cerna; brother: Noe Bargas; and sister: Eva Ruiz.
Funeral services will be at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 1:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Rodrigo Muoz. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Benna Babb 2018
Benna Leigh Babb Buckingham-Stiver

Benna Leigh Babb Buckingham-Stiver, age 60, of Odessa, passed from this life and into eternity on Friday, January 5, 2018.  She was born in Ft. Worth, TX on June 30, 1957 to the late Elbert Griffin Babb, Jr. and Bennie Dean (Fields) Babb.  Benna was a postal carrier.  An animal lover, she enjoyed breeding and raising dogs and horses.  She also loved gardening and working outside.

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her daughter:  Jessica Coursey and husband Anthony; sons:  Neal Buckingham and wife Lara, and Thomas Buckingham and wife Kaylean, all of Odessa; and nine grandchildren:  Jada, Nevaeh, Vanessa, Jeremy, Ethyn, Braydin, Adele, Thomas, and LIncoln.

She was preceded to her heavenly home by her parents:  Elbert and Bennie Babb and her brother:  Michael Newton Babb.

Funeral services to honor her memory will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Joe A. Wallin.  Interment with military honors will follow at American Heritage Cemetery in Midland County.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Tom Clinton 2018
Tom Clinton

Tom Clinton lived a great life.  He was born on October 29, 1947 to William Olin Clinton and Jo Williams and he had his heavenly homecoming on January 6, 2018.  Tom had been married to his high school sweetheart, Sharian Hewett, since November 18, 1966. 

Tom was a hard worker his whole life.  He was a US Navy Veteran and had worked for El Paso Natural Gas for over 33 years, retiring from a supervisory position in 2003.  His determination earned him his Associates Degree at Odessa College. In his spare time, you could find him underneath his latest project car (if Sharian hadn't got ahold of him first to help in her garden.)  He was an ordained deacon of his church since 1987.

Tom and Sharian have a son:  Scott Clinton and wife Ginger of Waxahachie, TX and a daughter:  Casey Savoie of Jal, NM.  They have five grandsons:  Jacob and Caden Clinton of Waxahachie, TX and Garrett, Colton, and Ty Savoie of Jal, NM.  Tom is also survived by two brothers:  Robert Clinton and Terry Clinton; and one sister:  Cindy Walter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded on his heavenly journey by his mother, Jo West; his father, W.O. Clinton; and four brothers:  Ralph, Doug, Prentice, and Bill Clinton.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Jesus J Guillen SR 2018
Jesus Jose Guillen, Sr.

Jesus Jose Guillen, Sr. age 76, passed away at his Odessa residence on Sunday, January 7, 2018.  He was born in Pilares, Chihuahua, Mexico on June 1, 1941 to the late Salome Guillen Soto and Maria de la Luz (Sanchez) Guillen.  He was a farmer and rancher who lived the life of a good cowboy, loving the ranch and the horses.

Mr. Guillen was a good, hard working man.  He loved his family and was a great father who gave everything he could to his children.  He enjoyed music and loved to sing.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife: Martha Venegas Guillen; sons:  Jesus Jose Guillen Jr. and wife Adriana, Federico Guillen Villanueva and Artemio Guillen and wife Lucy; daughters:  Sulema Moreno Guillen and husband Javier and Martha Oralia Guillen; brothers:  Adan Guillen and Salome Guillen; sisters:  Socorro Guillen Carmona, Juana Guillen, Teresa Guillen Navarrette, and Delma Mendoza; and seven grandchildren with one more blessing on the way.

His parents, two brothers:  Guadalupe "Lupito" Guillen and Enrique Guillen; and one sister:  Manuela Ojeda, precede him in death.

Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm at Acres West Funeral Chapel.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church.  Interment follows at Odessa II Gardens of Ector County Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Maria Jesus Hernandez

Maria Jesus Hernandez, age 60, of Odessa, TX entered eternity on Monday, January 8, 2018. She was born in Escobillas, Chihuahua, Mexico on June 6, 1957 to the late Jesus and Antonia (Rodriguez) Lujan.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her beloved husband: Angel Hernandez Galindo; son: Omar Hernandez; daughters: Emilia Hernandez and Lorena Isela Hernandez; brothers: Rogelio Lujan and Ambrosio Lujan; sister: Leonila Hernandez; as well as 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons: Jose Angel Hernandez and Carlos Hector Hernandez; daughter: Julia Aracely Hernandez; brothers: Toribio Lujan, Juan Lujan and Fabian Lujan and sisters: Dominga Lujan and Altagracia Lujan.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Odessa Garden II section of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Perrie Jo Gamboa

Perrie Jo Gamboa, age 44, of Odessa, passed away at her home on Monday, January 8, 2018.  She was born to Jimmy Dean and Doris Jean (Armour) Turner on December 4, 1973.  Perrie married Urial Gamboa in Gardendale on July 21, 2001.  She was a homemaker, beloved wife, sister, and mother.

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her husband:  Urial Gamboa; two sons:  Trace Daniel Gamboa and Christin Marcus Gamboa; daughter:  Katelyn Nicole; all of Odessa; sister:  Donna Denise Armour of Dallas, and other extended family.

Her mom preceded her in death.

Rosary will be at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 11, 2018.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West.
