Arnulfo Lerma Primera
Arnulfo Lerma Primera, age 87, of Odessa, TX entered eternity on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. He was born in Fort Stockton, TX on Tuesday, May 27, 1930 to the late Cirildo and Felipa (Lerma) Primera.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his beloved wife: Narcisa Primera; sons: Martin Primera and Javiel Diaz; daughters: Laura Mena, Sylvia Diaz, Martha Ryan, Rachel Primera, Pamela Jiminez, Stella Tenorio and Amelia Sailors; sisters: Eva Rodriguez and Dia Mantina Garcia; special niece: Tracy Chavira; sons in law: Chris Ryan, Hector Mena and Gabriel Portillo; as well as 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 18 great- great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter: Amanda Torres.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, April 20, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Deacon Alex Sosa. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Isabel Arroyos
Isabel Arroyos

Isabel Arroyos, 93, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born in Buenos Aires, Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico on November 18, 1924 to Jesus Jose Arroyos and Paula (Gonzalez) Arroyos.  He married Consuelo Franco and together they owned and operated a restaurant in Coyame for 30 years. 

He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, whose legacy lives on in their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his love and memory his sons:  Ismael Arroyo and wife Nena, Julian Arroyo and wife Luz Elva, Isabel Arroyo Jr. and wife Nora, Humberto Arroyo and wife Luz, and Homero Arroyo and wife Isabel; daughters: Ana Maria Gomez and husband Salvador, Paula Najera and husband Eduardo and Maria Elena Arroyo Villalobos; daughter-in-law:  Luz Elena Arroyo; brothers:  Dimas Gonzalez, Vicente Gonzalez, and Roman Arroyo; sisters:  Maria Mendoza and Juanita Arenivas; 32 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife: Consuelo Arroyos, son: Jose Arroyo; and siblings: Amelia, Rafaela, Marcela and Marcos Arroyos.

A Rosary will be recited at Acres West 24 Hour Chapel Friday evening at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services for Isabel will be held 9:00 AM, Saturday, April 21, 2018 Acres West 24 Hour Chapel. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Garden. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel. 

James A Douthit 2018
James Andrew Douthit

James Andrew Douthit, age 54, of Temple, TX passed from this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. He was born in Odessa, TX on September 26, 1963 to Robert Jaye Douthit and Linda Roys.  James was a foreman for Douthit Movers and had worked at his family's ranch in New Mexico.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his father:  Robert "Bob" Douthit and wife Ruth of Odessa; mother:  Linda Warren; daughter:  Harlee Douthit and her mother: Tammi Douthit of Odessa; brothers:  Shawn Douthit of San Antonio and Toby Sanders and his wife Tina of Brazoria, TX; sisters:  Tami Douthit of San Antonio and Angela Sanders of Dallas, TX; one upcoming granddaughter:  Rosalinda Lujan;  as well as two nieces, one nephew, and two aunts.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents:  C.A. and Gladys Douthit and uncle:  J.L. Douthit and his wife Mary.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Ines Galindo Orona

Ines Galindo Orona, age 89, of Odessa, TX entered eternity on Thursday, April 19, 2018. She was born in Manuel Benavides, Mexico on March 31, 1929 to the late Macario and Carlota (Lujan) Galindo.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her children: Celia Molina, Sergio Orona, Maria Baeza, Rosa Orona, Jaime Orona, Luis Orona and Miguel Orona; brothers: Jesus Galindo and Carlos Mario Galindo; sister: Aurelia Carbajal; as well as 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Alejandro Orona and parents.

Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 23, 2018 at Holy redeemer Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Manuel Urias
Manuel Antonio Urias

Manuel Antonio Urias, age 63, of Odessa, passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Friday, April 20, 2018.  He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on February 21, 1955 to the late Tomas and Maria (Alvarado) Urias.  He married Alma Villanueva in Houston, TX on November 17, 1978.  Manuel worked as a roustabout.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife:  Alma Urias of Odessa; daughter:  Maria Avary of Odessa; son: Carlos Urias of Odessa; three brothers:  Rito Urias, Lupe Urias, and Chalo Urias, all of Mexico; sisters:  Lilia Rodriguez of Odessa and Marta Urias of Mexico; five grandchildren:  Noami Rodriguez, Ray Rodriguez, Miriam Rodriguez, Veronica Urias, Jacob Avary; and great-grandson;  Elliot Salgado.

Visitation will begin Sunday afternoon, April 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Prayer services will be held on Monday evening at 7:00 pm at Acres West.  Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by Brother Doug Doyle.  Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West.

Robert Eugene Meisenheimer

Robert Eugene Meisenheimer, 64, of Odessa, passed from this life on Friday, April 20, 2018. He was born in Alton, Illinois on Sunday, December 27, 1953 to Donald and Evelyn Meisenheimer.

Robert was a hard working family man. He loved spending time with them and especially with his grandchildren. He was very fond of his animals, especially his cat Garfield. Robert was a truck driver and enjoyed driving his 18 wheeler. He was very adventurous. You could find him outdoors fishing, BBQing and riding motorcycles. Robert also enjoyed being indoors playing video games, watching football and wrestling on the television. He often spent time going out for coffee so he could hang out and tell stories. Robert enjoyed going out for live dancing as well. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Dianna (Bowman) Meisenheimer; sons: Rahn Williams, Michael Meisenheimer and Steven Meisenheimer and wife Tabitha; mother: Evelyn Chinault; brother: Leonard Cole; sisters: Pauletta Cole and Janice Kae; as well as 5 grandchildren: Jimmy, Haley, Carley, Raelynn and Landyn.

He was preceded in death by his father: Donald Meisenheimer; son: Eric Williams; sister: Debbie Farley and grandchild: Brayden Meisenheimer.

The family will receive friends from 4-8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.  No services are scheduled. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the funeral home in honor of Robert.

Anna Louise Freeman

Anna Louise Freeman, age 78 of Odessa, TX passed from the life on Sunday, April 22, 2018. She was born in Sulfur, LA on May 5, 1939 to the late Placide and Willie Grace (O’Quinn) Mounce. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide for Nurses of Del Rio.

Anna was a very loving and caring woman. Her family was everything to her. She lived in Maine for 30 years before relocating to Texas to care of her mother. Anna was very wise, inspiring to others and got along with everyone. She was very straightforward and would tell you exactly what was on her mind. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, macramé, cooking and working in her yard. Anna was also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved playing slot machines.

Those left to cherish her love and memories are her son: Stephen Raymond Bennett Jr.; daughter: Bonnie Lucille Uballe; beloved companion: Mr. Bill; sister: Debbie Ann Edwards; as well as 8 grandchildren: Chris, Danielle, Sherry, Justin, Shawn, Robert, Shanne and Thomas; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband:  Melvin Allen Freeman son:  Billy Ray Freeman and brothers: George Mounce, Henry Mounce, John Mounce, Calvin Shoemake and Kirk Shoemake.

Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 26, 2016 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Fannie Mae Jernigan
Fannie Mae "Sue" Jernigan

Fannie Mae "Sue" Jernigan, lovingly known as "Aunt Sue" by her many nieces and nephews, age 84, passed away at the home of her only daughter, Ginger Christian, on Sunday, April 22, 2018.  Sue was born in Carthage (Panola), TX on October 16,1933, to the late Mack Jernigan and Leona (Beck) Jernigan.  Her late step-father, A.C. Bussey, moved the family to Odessa during the 1940's. 

Sue attended Ector County Schools and loved her Blackshear Jr.-Sr. High School homemaking class.

Aunt Sue was an outgoing lady and loved fishing, working in her yard, and Sunday dinners with family.  Sue was the fifth child (baby) born to the Jernigan union. 

Family that predeceased her are her parents:  Mack Jernigan, Leona (Beck) Jernigan-Bussey and A.C. Bussey and three brothers:  Johnnie Mack "Sonny" Jernigan, Jobie Jernigan, and Joseph Jernigan.

She is survived by her loving family:  daughter (stalwart):  Ginger (Alvin) Christian; one sister:  Louise "Sister" Jernigan-Blacknall (Sue and Sister loved each other dearly throughout her life on earth); granddaughter:  Shawneequa Johnson (a rock); grandson: Danny Johnson, Jr.; great-grandsons:  Charles Jr., Kason and Elijah; great-granddaughters:  Alexis, Toni, Paige, and Devyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W. University Blvd. Odessa, TX, 79764 with Reverend Darren Willis officiating.  Burial will follow at Odessa II Gardens section of Ector County Cemetery on Muskingum and Myrtle. 

The family extends their thanks to Star Care Hospice.

Mary Francis Price 2018
Mary Frances Bowen Price

Mary Frances Bowen Price, of Odessa, passed from this life at Lubbock Heart Hospital on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the age of 90.  She began her earthly journey on January 3, 1928 in Sterling, CO, born to the late Ed Gallegos and Mary Frances (Garcia) Gallegos.  She had retired after many years of service at Furrs Grocery.

Frances was known by many names including Mom, Granny, Other Mother and Gigi.  She loved each of her children unconditionally; taking great pride in them and their accomplishments - preachers, businessmen, master plumbers, master electricians, attorneys, and future doctors.  Her love of life did not measure up to her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ.  Her final wish for her remaining family was that though they would miss her for a little while, they would find joy again in our Lord.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents; husband:  Ted W. Bowen; son:  Frankie Bowen; and daughters-in-law:  Carolyn Bowen and Sandra Bowen.

Survivors include her daughter:  Katherine Bruton and husband Kyle; sons:  Gerrid Bowen, Bill Bowen, Bobby Bowen and wife Margaret, and Jimmy Carr; daughter-in-law:  Nan Bowen; brothers:  Danny Gallegos, George Gallegos, and Chris Gallegos; sister:  Elizabeth Gallegos Shaffer; fifteen grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am, Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, officiated by grandson, Nathan Bowen. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Nicholas Nuwag

Nicholas Nuwag, age 59, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Friday, April 27, 2018. He was born on Yap Island in Micronesia on September 22, 1958 to Benabetura Vincent Gilfigir and Lourdes Falamtin.

Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife: Grace Untinag Nuwag; sisters: Maria Bolyan, Julie Garafel and Annie Golbee; brothers: Hilary Suwon, Leo Langmed and Alread Pulwog; nieces: Lisa Edmond, Tanya Rubin, Sarah Simms and Diana Bryant and nephews: Michael Limchig, Ponciano Matagolai, Christo Mugyan, Xavier Suwon, Larry Suwon, Peter James Mingefiiy and Bradley Gildilak.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 am - 11:30 am, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with funeral services to follow at 11:30 am., officiated by Bishop Coombs. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at the Odessa Garden II section of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
